Top service
Lovely folks, especially the two chaps in the second site where I collected my car.
Car was ready and waiting for me, paperwork ready to be completed.
Car was valeted, serviced, washed.
Great car, great friendly service, can't fault them!
Purchased a Mercedes-Benz B-Class B250e…
Purchased a Mercedes-Benz B-Class B250e from Williams Motor Company Ltd in August 2025 and the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful from day one. The car was sold with misleading information about both the battery capacity and the annual road tax. After purchase, it immediately became clear that the battery capacity was significantly below what was stated, and the tax costs were much higher than advertised. Both issues were independently confirmed, including by a local Mercedes dealership.
When I raised these problems, the dealer refused responsibility and hid behind disclaimers, despite the Consumer Rights Act clearly stating vehicles must match their sale description and be fit for purpose. Instead of resolving the matter, I was forced into a lengthy complaints process involving solicitor correspondence, Letters Before Action, and consultation with Money Claim Online (MCOL). I was also advised to escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Conduct Authority to report the misleading sales practices.
Throughout this process, my requests for a refund or meaningful resolution were dismissed. The dealer’s legal representatives continually relied on technicalities and lengthy responses, causing major disruption, wasted time, and prolonged anxiety. What should have been a straightforward purchase has caused months of unnecessary stress and financial uncertainty.
I urge others to be extremely cautious with this dealership. If anything goes wrong, be prepared for a long, stressful battle for your rights.
Avoid This Company
Avoid This Company – Unprofessional and Poor Workmanship
I strongly advise anyone thinking of buying a car from this company to look elsewhere. My experience has been extremely disappointing and costly.
After purchasing a car from them, I was soon faced with a £2,000 repair bill for what was initially thought to be an oil leak — which turned out to require a full timing chain replacement. Two independent garages confirmed that the same repair had been attempted before and carried out very poorly. There were missing bolts, reused parts, and clear signs that the job had not been done to a proper standard.
According to the company’s own contract, the car was supposed to have been fully checked and given a new MOT, yet the state of the engine suggested otherwise. When I tried to raise my concerns, I was blocked on social media and unable to contact them directly.
Both mechanics who worked on my car confirmed that the previous repair was done so badly it caused further damage, leading to the expensive repairs I had to pay for myself. Due to the severity of the situation, I am now pursuing legal action with support from the mechanics who carried out the correct repairs.
Please read other reviews carefully before making a purchase. In my experience, this company showed a lack of professionalism and disregard for customer safety. The prices may look good, but the long-term cost could be far higher.
Extremely Disappointed
Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Advertising and Poor Vehicle Condition
I travelled over 100 miles to view a Focus ST-Line X with very low mileage, based on the promise that it was in excellent condition. Before making the trip, I called twice and spoke to two different members of staff to confirm the vehicle's condition. I was assured that they take pride in accurately presenting their cars online, and that this vehicle had been cleaned, serviced, MOT'd, and was ready to drive away.
Unfortunately, the reality couldn’t have been further from what was described. When I arrived, the car was filthy, covered in cobwebs, and clearly had not been cleaned or prepared for sale. The driver’s side door seal was ripped and appeared to be held together with heavy-duty black tape, possibly masking more serious damage. The side of the driver’s seat was badly worn and damaged—completely unacceptable for a vehicle advertised as being in such good condition.
While I did not expect a brand-new car, I did expect it to match the description given online and over the phone. This experience felt like a complete waste of time and money. In my opinion, this company is seriously misleading customers with their advertising and verbal assurances. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution before dealing with them.
Audi TT
We found my car through zuto rating the dealership highly. David helped us through the process so everything went smoothly, his patience was appreciated. Brilliant deal :) car is superb
I refrained from writing a review untill after we had the car a month or two.
I refrained from writing a review straight away, as to better write a more honest review once time with the car has elapsed.
We bought a car from them and on the face of it everything was run perfectly. After a few days the there was a minor issue with the car that williams sorted out for us by paying our local garage to repair, I couldn't be happier with the car and the experience we have had from the garage. Thanks
⭐ 1 out of 5 stars is generous!
This dealership was nice to deal with at first, but once things went wrong the experience turned into a nightmare.
• The car delivered didn’t match the description on their website and had multiple faults, so we rejected it immediately on delivery.
• The dealership admitted responsibility but still delayed refunding £11,000 for two weeks, even though consumer rights state refunds should be made as soon as possible and no longer than 14 days.
• Senior management were evasive, and sales staff became uncooperative once we raised issues.
• Communication was poor throughout, and we had to constantly chase for updates.
A business that misrepresents vehicles, drags its feet on refunds, and avoids accountability cannot be trusted. They are pleasant while making the sale, but the moment something goes wrong, the customer service disappears. Strongly recommend avoiding this dealership.
Very good sale and very nice car.
Very good sale and very nice car.
David and Richard were so professional.
Total scammers. BEWARE!
Total scammers! They are not genuine and are just after your money whilst offering poor to zero customer service. They sold my mother a car for £8000 that was clearly clearly riddled with faults after making her wait 3 weeks after purchase to receive the car. When the faults were raised (advertised parking sensors not working, dangerously worn down brake pads, no service history, leaking coolant etc) they refused to take the car back for repair and instead wasted my mum's time telling her to get another garage to run diagnostics only to refuse to accept the issues raised. The other garage flagged that the car is dangerous to drive in the current condition but they do not care! Absolutely disgusting company. It's now clear that they just wanted to waste my mum's time so she would not be able to reject the car under the consumer rights act. I'm pretty sure most of the positive reviews here are fake. If they were so called good dealers that genuinely made a mistake they would have taken the car back, fixed the issues and either returned to the purchaser or could have still sold on. No, instead they want to steal your money for a product and service that is evidently not worth it. We will be taking legal action on this and reporting them on all platforms possible.
I would give zero stars if it were…
I would give zero stars if it were allowed. Honestly one of the most disgusting and immoral dealerships i’ve ever seen. Sold my 63 year old mother who is working as a community nurse and took a pension payout a mercerdez e class 2014 plate. The car has several issues present on purchase that were hidden. Some of the issues the car had would fail an mot yet somehow the company had a passed MOT for the car. The car also had no service history either, unfortunately my mother purchased this car without consulting any family beforehand. It’s very shady, they’ve also shown no remorse and no empathy to accept the vehicle back with full refund even after pleading with them and showing them all the mechanical issues on the car present… it’s not even been 2 months since purchase and it has not been driven as soon as we found out about the issues next to minimal miles. Utterly awful response and customer service… to do that to 63 year old woman just wow she took her pension out to buy that car to treat herself and has been working tirelessly for years now. The issues the car has are physically impossible to arise from the small amount of time we had it. We literally listed the issues and sent them it from a independent mechanic and in the email they ignored like 90% of the issues and fixed 1 of the 10 issues then said come and collect the car. Honestly the pain and heartache these people have caused my mother is disgusting… looking at some other reviews on here i can see we aren’t the only ones they’ve done this to, the positive reviews are on here are also suspicious avoid at all costs!
This is a follow on review following on from 2/08/2026
This is a follow on review. This company owes me £7290 for a car I did not purchase after 16 days of them saying they are going to refund me they have not. The consumer Rights Act states 14 days for a refund to be returned it is now 2 days over. ****The reply I got from the company this afternoon is as follows :-
Afternoon
***I have checked and it can take up to 5 working days for the refund to be issued
I have sent you all the information I hold including copy of machine ticket and photo of transaction on the card machine itself
I do not have an ARN number
This is all I am able to send you sorry
Regards
Angela
My feelings are if the company has 14 days to refund why are they not actioning in this time period. As a customer be very wary of this dubious firm and their ability to play by the rules. Disgusting customer service. Poor communication and even poorer management who seem to not exist.
Satisfied
This is the second car I have bought from here , Very easy transaction , car ready quickly with 12 months MOT.
Car was valeted and washed , ready for collection
Friendly Salesmen down to earth and no pressure .
I haven't given it a 5 because when I test drove it the tyres weren’t checked and one was flat which wasn't noticed until I got back to the garage . I think maybe more staff to be on so that they have more time to spend with the customers when initially looking and test driving .
Would have been a nice touch to put a bit more fuel in it before I picked it up

Stay well clear
Stay well clear, we have purchased a vehicle from this garage didn’t even get it home before it went into limp mode, Angela is very rude and left me stranded on the m65 with a child. I have since had nothing but trouble trying to get them to take the car back!
Save yourself a lot of stress and go else where!

Nice lads Richard and Dave helpful and politce fantastic!
Thank you Alana
I recently purchased a vehicle from Williams Motor Company and, unfortunately, encountered some issues not long after driving it away. I reached out to the aftersales team and was pleased with their prompt response and willingness to help.
There were a few hiccups at the start, mainly due to the distance. I live over 200 miles from the dealership, so returning the car wasn’t really practical. This led to some initial miscommunication about how best to proceed, but thankfully, we got everything sorted in the end.
I’m writing this review to give a special shoutout to Alana, who was absolutely outstanding throughout the whole process. She was professional, empathetic, clear in her communication, and genuinely a joy to deal with. Her sense of humour, patience, and commitment to resolving the issue made all the difference. Thanks to her, I was able to get the car repaired and back on the road without unnecessary stress.
Thank you, Alana, you’re a credit to the company.

Bought a new car over the internet and part ex'd my car at the same time. All paperwork was ready and waiting and the whole process took 20 minutes from when we walked in. Lovely staff and couldn't fault anything , thank you

The worst experience of my life — and that’s not an exaggeration.
I purchased a vehicle from Williams Motor Company after a test drive where everything appeared to be in order. I paid the full amount upfront in cash and collected the vehicle on 22/05.
Just two days later, the engine management light came on. I immediately contacted the dealership and was told they couldn’t look at it for a week. When I brought the vehicle in, they informed me it needed a new “sensor” (with no clarification on which sensor). Later that day, they changed their story, claiming it only needed an ECU update, which they said they completed.
Less than a week after that, the vehicle failed to start, displaying a “lower engine performance” warning. I contacted them again and was told the car would be collected at 2 PM — no one turned up. I called back in frustration and informed them I was beginning the rejection process under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Only after I emailed my rejection in writing did they send someone to collect the vehicle.
They persuaded me to allow one final repair, claiming it just needed a DPF regeneration and that it was now “driving fine.” However, upon return, the vehicle began emitting black smoke, was struggling to idle, and the stop/start function no longer worked.
I again reaffirmed my rejection via email. They responded claiming I was no longer eligible for a rejection because I had accepted a repair — which is completely incorrect under the Consumer Rights Act. I pointed this out in writing, but my emails were ignored.
I then visited their office with my mother for support, only to be refused access to a manager. Instead, I was confronted by a rude and unprofessional salesman named Richard, who at one point even refused to hand over my logbook, bizarrely claiming I “couldn’t be trusted with it.” I left the vehicle with them once again, clearly stating that I expected a response to my formal rejection. I received no reply.
I sought advice from Citizens Advice, who recommended I collect the vehicle and obtain an independent inspection. I did this at my own cost — despite the dealership telling me I was responsible for arranging it — and the report clearly identified error codes relating to a fault with the particulate matter filter.
When I shared this report with the dealership, they dismissed it as insufficient and demanded to carry out their own inspection. I agreed — but was never informed that their inspection would take two weeks.
In the meantime, with no other means of transport, I had to use the car to get to work. On the Monday before the inspection, the vehicle broke down on the M62 during morning rush hour. I was stranded in the rain, had to be recovered by the RAC, and another DPF regeneration was required just to get the car moving again. I asked Williams Motor to collect the car from my workplace for the inspection, as I couldn’t risk another breakdown, but they refused. I managed to limp it back the next morning and dropped it off myself.
At this point, I had already been without a functioning vehicle for over a week and incurred significant costs in public transport just to get to work. Two weeks passed and still no update on the inspection.
Today (08/07/2025), they finally sent me the inspection report, claiming it shows no faults. However, the report explicitly states there was a fault present at the time of purchase that requires further investigation. It’s clear they either haven’t read it or are deliberately misrepresenting the findings.
As this is still yet to be resolved, I am now proceeding with Alternative Dispute Resolution or legal action.
The stress, anxiety, emotional strain, and financial cost this ordeal has caused me cannot be overstated. This has been, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with any company.
Judging by other reviews, I am far from the only one. This dealership appears to sell faulty vehicles and intimidates customers into thinking they have no rights. I have held off posting this review while trying to resolve the issue amicably — but it’s clear they have no intention of doing the right thing.
Avoid at all costs.
UPDATE: 15/07/2025:
Following this review, I gave them 7 days to respond to my email as to whether they would be willing to go down an ADR route. They left it until 16:47 on the 7th day to respond to me. Their email completely ignored my request for ADR route but instead stated they would need the car for a FOURTH time to do the investigation as per the report.
I immediately phoned them up and stated that they would not be having the car back and as they had not responded to my ADR request, I will now be seeking legal action.
