I have been a owner for 20 years
I have been a owner for 20 years, in the last 5 i have found it almost impossible to use, and they are doing every thing they can to get your money, the high-pressure sales are out of control, and very uncomfortable, I was even going to add to my membership one time but somehow my $10,000 purchase was almost 20,000. And when I told them âNever mind i wasnât paying that muchâ I felt belittled and bullied. My last dispute and why Iâm writing is because last July. they added trip insurance coasting very close to the house keeping that you have to click a button to opt out of. I missed it until i already paid and got confirmation twice. the 1st time they let me out of it. last I realized i forgot and was on the phone with them in less than 5 minutes. they told me they took it off as a one time courtesy last time this time Iâm stuck with it. Itâs a complete scam, any other place I have ever dealt with on trip insurance you have to opt in, not opt out. Itâs very deceiving It is absolutely not a customer. Courtesy addition they keep telling me it is. Itâs a way to scam money. I have looked up many reviews now and seen âscam â over and over. the average stats iâm seeing is consistently 1. Dive motels usually get at least 2 1/2 stars.. in the last 5 years with maintenance cost housekeeping, having to find other arrangements because I canât get in and flat out scams I could have stayed at five star hotels for less!!!!!! Hello
fraud
me and my husband were trapped from the street by a sales rep for wyndham worldmark and offered free lunch, $50 gift card and 1 week of vacation to go listen to a presentation. She insisted on we did not need to buy anything then took $40 as a reservation deposit. we went to see the presentation, it was about the timeshare service they tried to sell, we were not interested. they all acted weird when we turned down 5 different offers they presented. at the end, they did not give any gifts and did not refund us our reservation fee. i was furious, but when i read comments here i am lucky i only lost $40. this is a very big company, i am still amazed how can they stay in bussiness with that level of fraud. stay away. they are big time scammers.
Horrible company
Horrible company, we have been with them for over 15 years, they only want money and they donât care how they get it from you. Fees for bullcrap stuff is mind blowing. You buy into thinking itâs great and it will be great for the family, not true! My kids canât even stay anymore unless I buy a 99 visitor fee. I accidentally booked a room for our son, I paid the 99, but realized it was for the wrong month. I called them within 5 min, they donât give a crap and refused to give me the 99 or work with me in giving me credit once I do get a room in April. They are constantly tacking on stupid fees every year. Their customer service is horrible! I canât sell our shares because theyâre worthless to us. If we give them back they will give us nothing but turn around and sell them for a small fortune to some other idiot. Do not fall for their highly pressured sales pitchâŠ.run away fast!
Don't buy, OR at least wait till they drop the price
Hello, my wife and I attended a presentation today in Seattle WA. They were trying to sell us a timeshare with an annual 15,000 point credit for around $57,000 for a forever membership plus around $150 per month indefinitely for maintenance dues. We listened and asked a lot of questions but finally told them that the resorts were not in places we preferred to travel and the potential for lack of availability when we may want to travel was concerning. After they realized we were not interested, they brought in other "closers" for high pressure sales tactics. The last guy even said that if we were willing to make the purchase today, they would reduce the price down to around $20k from $57k. I was shocked that the price would drop so dramatically and pissed that they tried to sell me their product at such a high price previously. Why would anyone trust a company that would have sold their product 10 minutes earlier for $37k more. The bottom line is that if this may be a good program for you, REFUSE their offer and they will likely drop the price to something much more reasonable before you leave. But, at the end of the day, we did not want to be involved with a company that has such low ethics and employs people with shady business practices. Buyer beware and good luck!
WorldMark by Myndham is a SCAM
WorldMark by Myndham is a SCAM. Everytime I try to book a room or use any type of bonus time the website has technical problems. The rooms are available and dates are available, hit book and they have technical problems. Then once we call, it takes 15-20 minutes to get a hold of them and then the agent says there is nothing available. It is a SCAM. We pay quarterly dues that are outragous and they always try to get us to pay more points. We can't event get anything with what we have and use the "perk" they promise when you buy.
DO NOT purchase WorldMark by Wyndham points. They 100% are a SCAM and they do not care. We can't even sell our current points because no one wants them.
They will take your credits if you useâŠ
They will take your credits if you use rci and cancel a trip
Don't get fool...run away from Worldmarl club
Every time that we try to do a reservation they never have a property...i guess the only place is vegas. Been staying in some RCI...no updated or with only one room...never been happy with them and no customers service only when they want sell you one of their packages...i will give them -5 but system dint allows me to go as far from 1.
Worldmark the club is a scam..do notâŠ
Worldmark the club is a scam..do not invest. Everyone's experience is the same..hard to get a reservation except off season..maybe..when I read these reviews I would think a sharp lawyer could become an overnight billionaire instigating a class action lawsuit..
Our last stay was a 3 bedroom at Arrow point resort in Idaho. Very large suite with a elf size dated tub with about 5 jets. Nice countertops with dated kitchen appliances.. a 30 min.timer on the gas fireplace in living room with dated uncomfortable furniture. Large deck with minor view of lake..nothing to do there with 30 minute drive to nearest city. A small heated swimming pool that often is out of order do to this time of year is the maintenance month. U cannot get into this resort in summer spring or early fall to enjoy the lake...supposedly u can rent a boat at a nearby resort which will not happen since u cannot get reservations in summer ..this area is very remote and winter vacationing not pleasant. Early 10AM checkout strictly enforced calling and harassing to get out within 5 min. After 10AM..keep in mind this is off season..they are nearly empty with many rooms available. Timeshares are all scams..run run run...
Poor Owner Service
Dear Worldmark Board of Directors,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding a recent experience with my reservation at Worldmark Banff. I had eagerly planned a celebration for my wife's 40th birthday, involving six rooms, and was looking forward to creating lasting memories with my friends and family.
Regrettably, circumstances led me to cancel four of the reserved rooms on January 25th, well within the modification or cancellation window without penalty, as specified in the terms. To my surprise, I was informed that the use of guest certificates for these reservations would result in their forfeiture, along with the loss of the associated $258 payment. This decision perplexes me, as it seems unjust to penalize me for cancellations made within the stipulated timeframe.
Additionally, I find it disheartening that despite my clear communication expressing a preference for a refund rather than the reinstatement of the guest certificates, I was offered only a partial refund as a "courtesy." It seems unreasonable to me that I should bear the financial burden for services not rendered, especially considering my longstanding commitment as an owner since 2021 and my continued investment in ownership and monthly dues.
I am reaching out with the hope of resolving this matter amicably and swiftly. I kindly request a full refund of the $258 charge, as it seems only fair given the circumstances. My intention in purchasing ownership with Worldmark was to facilitate memorable experiences, such as the one I had planned for my wife's birthday, and I trust that the Worldmark team shares this commitment to customer satisfaction.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and eagerly await a positive resolution. Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss further.
Sincerely,
Vivek Sreekumar

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!
HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! I cannot recommend running the other way enough. They are a complete scam for $$$ and have TERRIBLE customer service. Also, it is impossible for you to get out of it once they are able to convince you to agree.
-10000/10 *DO NOT DO IT*
Worst company EVER.
Hands down, THE WORST company you could ever do business with.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!
DO NOT get sucked in to their high pressure sales pitches, and if you have been sucked in, hold on, and if you haven't discovered it yet, avoid their continued high pressure sales pitches "owner updates" at all cost!
This company preys on the vulnerability of people, and then once you are locked in to the relationship, then you start to realize the abusive ways they progressively milk you for ever-increasing re-occurring revenue.
And there is no way out, unless you pay your mortgage off and abandon the account. After paying these people over $30,000 for my 13,000 annual points, PLUS 20 years worth of monthly dues that have grown to $180/mo (let's say approximately $1500/yr x 20 yrs = $30,000+), which still have to be paid monthly even after the mortage is paid off... THEN it costs $399 to transfer your ownership to a new owner, (if you are lucky to find a new owner who will buy your account for pennies on the dollar), but then they take however long they want to process the title transfer because they are dealing with a significant backlog of title transfers (hmmm, I wonder why so many title transfers??)....
And even if you are a happy owner... (I was for a few years in the beginning.) Enjoy your vacation, as they harass you to no end during your vacation, to trick you in to an "Owner Update" where they tell you that your amount of points is not worth anything, and that if you want to truly be able to enjoy what you've been investing into, you MUST buy even more points, and pay even more dues into perpetuity for the rest of your life.
And then, if you want out, good luck finding any support because the "Escape your Timeshare" aftermarket is even sketchier than Worldmark!
And then this last year, they launched a new website (8) months ago that still doesn't work. And then they decided a few months ago that they needed more money from their owners, so they hit us all with two additional "Special Assessment" payments, which you are supposed to pay on their website that doesn't work.
AND, if you have any issues, don't count on this company having any appreciation or empathy for you THEIR CUSTOMER. They don't care about you. They just want you to pay them more money, or you will lose the value of all the money you have already paid them!
I don't understand how this company can even continue to operate with how terribly they treat their customer experience. If there was a class action lawsuit against this organization, I would jump right in.
Hands down, the most toxic and unethical business relationship a customer could have in America!!
DO NOT BUY WORLDMARK
Accosted again by the concierge in Seattle. We have spent time at 15 WorldMarkâs around the world and this is the only location that ATTACKS you upon check in. It happens to be our local location so they basically ruin any chance of a nice getaway weekend for us. DO NOT BUY WORLDMARK!! No matter what they promise you! Itâs all lies. We have had Worldmark for over 20 years and it gets shittier every year! The fees go up and the amenities go down EVERY year! We are now paying over $200 a month just for maintenance and that keeps increasing every year! They got rid of valet at this location and now charge you $35 a day for self parkâŠplus $50 in taxes and additional for housekeeping if youâve already used your 2 measly housekeeping credits per year. Iâm guessing they get you for 100k to sign up these days plus all that interest?? The whole thing is a scam. You have to book most vacations out a whole year + to even get a week stay somewhere. Theyâve added a 2 night minimum now that they didnât have before. DONâT DO IT and by the way, WORLDMARK if you are reading this, DO BETTER. These concierge people are A-holes! I wouldnât have even taken the time to write this review if they hadnât been so RUDE and literally chased us down the hallway, held the elevator up so we couldnât leave while yelling at us âyou signed a contract!â Yes, thank you and what does that even mean? Whatcha gonna do? Cancel our contract because we donât wanna listen to your stupid little spiel? I WISH!!! Is harassing guests really going to get us to upgrade? We have called ahead every time we have stayed here and been PROMISED that we are on the do not disturb list but these little punks still come at us. They are so rude. I canât imagine how miserable their lives are to have to do THAT for work. DO BETTER!!
I used Extra Holidays to take over someâŠ
I used Extra Holidays to take over some Reservations that I had made. Iâm doing this because my maintenance fees are so ridiculous. I plan on applying whatever I get from renting these to my maintenance fees which are over $700 per month (and, increasing every year). I find out that two properties that I listed in my area with a very major event going on during these dates, have not even been rented. When I contacted them, they said that they get so many listings that they cannot keep them all and they farm them out to travel agencies, Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, etc. I am not happy because I know that these properties should have been rented because of this event. So be cautious. Youâd be better off trying to rent them yourself. Plus, they keep 60% of whatever they take in for renting out your timeshare. I see why, they share the profits with a third-party. Itâs such a scam. Also, they are not at liberty to tell you to whom your reservation was farmed out. They told me it could be an agency that is so far away that people wouldnât be interested in the event. Youâd think if they had our best interests they would send the reservation to a nearby location at least! Be cautious! Iâd think about using Extra Holidays. And, by all means, read the fine print!
Agreed to do a presentation slotted atâŠ
Agreed to do a presentation slotted at 120 minutes. Dragged on for over 3 hours. Every time I said ânoâ the salesperson tried to guilt me and even started insulting me. Two more agents (who were much more polite than the first and took no for an answer) were sent to try and make a sale.
I didnât get all of the rewards promised and had to even remind them of what I was promised because they tried to stiff me big time. Still didnât get everything and didnât receive my deposit back. After zero response from the company after asking for my deposit refund, I just disputed the charge.
website is absolute garbage
website is absolute garbage. can't do anything on there without it bugging out.
It's just not worth it
It's just not worth it. We have so many credits but simply cannot get the accommodation even when we get up at midnight of the calendar turn around for booking and they're fully booked. We bought as Fiji owners in 2005, bought more after that and we can't even get in as we used to. Then, we simply get told to transfer to RCI when the credits are expiring. Covid happened and there was no travel yet the credits were expiring. I believe they've sold too many credits to too many people for what they have. And, the cheek of them to say they'll give us 7 days of Fiji if we get more credits. What a joke. There are many better holiday deals out there. Don't be conned as they're pretty good sales people. They don't stop calling and even when we explain the situation, we know the sales people can't do much about WorldMark over selling.
Website issues, no access to account
There is some new promo that pops up when I log into my account. It doesn't matter if I click yes or no, it takes me back to the login screen. I don't have 2+ hours to wait on hold with customer service only to be hung up on, which happened last time I tried to access my account.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. Maintenance fees are ridiculous and availability for property could be non existent booking thru worldmark. At this point I can easily book a week at a resort on Expedia for cheaper than what it cost to pay my annual maintenance dues. Trying to resolve issue with their Customer service department is ridiculous. Iâve been given the run around for 6 months trying to resolve an issues. Reading up I am finding out there are law suits against Worldmark for fraud. I would stay clear of Worldmark Iâm sure they will soon be bankrupt due to all their fraudulent behavior.
I stayed in many properties ofâŠ
I stayed in many properties of Worldmark by Wyndham for the past 5 years and it's absolutely amazing! If you know how to maximized your usage in this program you will get your moneys worth in just few years of travel.
This program is not for everyone, but definitely for me coz I love to travel.Great for retirement too... love it!
They gave us a gift card of 150$ which they canceled the moment we left there premises.
They gave us a gift card of 150$ prepaid card for getting through presentation and marketing sessions. They canceled the card the moment we were out of their premises. No help afterwards. There should be a minus -10 stars option for such companies.
