Run, Run, Read the reviews first.
WOW I had to put a 1 Star. We were turned away since we were Canadian. I donât have my passport, as I own property in the US and stay for 6 months.
After reading the reviews, I have to say a big thank you to all who have written their reviews, enlightening, scam, problems booking, disrespect.
I will spend my money on other ways to travel.
The presentations are misleading andâŠ
The presentations are misleading and deceptive - borderline fraudulent. We got the big ol' shpeel and when we asked for the details in writing to review and/or have our attorney look at were told they were not available...right after being told it was a real estate transaction because of our grandfathered ownership status.
After we said we needed time we were told we had 3 hours to think about it because the "special offer" expired when the office closed that day. Needless to say, we passed.
The whole process is sleazy and in some ways I feel sorry for the employees who blatantly try to take advantage of people under the guise of "doing them a favor."
Do not purchase a timeshare fromâŠ
Do not purchase a timeshare from Worldmark by Wyndham. They are currently worth NOTHING compared to how much they charge these days. I cannot speak for other timeshare companies, but I can speak about my experience with Worldmark. They made false selling points to convince us into purchasing a timeshare that we were told costs around $20,000. (While writing this, I went back to check our contract to see the amount, and it is actually over $31,000, which was never disclosed.) This presentation took 4.5 hours and when it came time to sign the contractâŠ5 MINUTES! We were happy at the time to get out of there, but that was our undoing because they failed to disclose the maintenance fees. They also told us we could earn money by renting out our timeshare in the years we couldnât travel and that this was a wise investment.
There wasn't any mention of "buyers remorse" cancellation period. There are very few resorts in Canada so if you're Canadian, getting to a resort will cost a fortune. You'd be too stressed out about the cost to enjoy yourself.
We couldnât be more unhappy with this purchase.

I called customer service and be told they have no power to help, Transfer to up level. The up level Owner Services Resolution Team did not call me. They said to call 1300 850 160 or (NZ) 0800 850 160. back to first customer service.
So that no one really care. Such a bad Owner Services Resolution Team. Very Very disappointed!!!

On checking into Worldmark Victoria for our 53rd wedding anniversary, we booked a penthouse suite with hot tub, just as we have for the last 5 years on our anniversary. We booked 7 months ago, requested a suite on the upper floor like we had in previous years for this special romantic occasion.
The room they gave us was on the 1st floor, right next to the pool , where people could walk right around and look into our hot tub and room.
NO PRIVACY WHATEVER.

Hostile sales person named Scott in Seattle
I spun a wheel at a chocolate festival and âwonâ a âfreeâ 7-day trip to any Wyndham property. Below are the details I have:
-I attended a 3 hour timeshare presentation at my local Wyndham property this weekend in Seattle. They absolutely ridicule themselves, and have no boundaries in order to sell the timeshare membership.
-I paid $40 to lock me into attending this presentation.
I got this back in the form of an AMEX prepaid card (I verified it has the $40 & works) at the presentation location.
-I can now book a 7 night vacation, I looked at a handful of properties around the country & also Europe, seems legit.
This was the standard stuff that everyone gets. Here comes the hostile salesperson review, Scott.
He said some horrifying things and tried to embarrass himself & humiliated everyone on that table by saying absolutely dumb things like:
This is a real estate opportunity, you get equity.
If you cannot buy this membership, you are not qualified to go on any vacation.
You cannot pay for your student loans if you cannot pay for your vacation.
He was so ridiculously dumb that he expected me to go on vacations while I had student debt. A classic example of how the American economy works.
I am happy I got my free vacation albeit.
Worldmark, Barclays and Wyndham empty promises.
I have had WorldMark points for many years and decided to purchase some additional ones. At the presentation, on December 13, 1022, I applied for a Barclays Earner Card associated with Wyndham Rewards because the Worldmark representative encouraged it, telling us the following:
I was told there was a promotion to receive a bonus of 30,000 points when $1000 was spent during the first three months and that was enough points for up to four free nights in a Wyndham hotel. That was attractive, not because we travel frequently, but because we are retired on a fixed income and when we do travel, Wyndham has always had a good reputation.
The second reason the credit card offer was appealing was an offer to put Worldmark point purchases on the card with six months to pay it off without interest charged.
We charged the $1,000 necessary for the 30,000 points and on February 28, 2023 spoke with a Barclays representative at the number on the back of the card: (866.428.2424) about how the points for Wyndham worked and when we would be seeing the 30,000 points. The representative explained how Barclays points were transferred to Wyndham Rewards and that I should see the 30,000 points in 6-8 weeks after the March 2023 statement.
We had to get a Wyndham Rewards account set up, which we did. And, because we do not travel frequently, we assumed that all was going to proceed as explained but was taking a bit longer. But by July, when we were not seeing anything besides monthly spending points, I called Wyndham at 866.370.0728 and after speaking with someone then waiting 35 minutes for someone to come back on the line, I was disconnected.
This happened five more times with disconnects and a he said/she said scheme where Wyndham would have me call Barclays and Barclays would give me the same Wyndham number I'd just called that told me to call the Barclays number.
I spoke to someone at Worldmark a month ago, while in one of their resorts and this guy said he'd he'd give me 30,000 points because he felt badly, but I had to listen to one more of the horrible pitches, first! Ugh. However, this guy did believe the points he offered.
My complaint with the recent transaction where the Worldmark rep gave me 15,000 points he said he could give for "problems that arise", and then getting15,000 points for listening again to the same pitch I've heard many times, is that everyone there got the same 15,000 points so these were really a sympathy "gift" because the rep needed to fill up spots in the "pitch" room. These points had nothing to do with the original promise when I bought additional points. In my opinion I still am due those 30,000 points.
I then wrote to Board members of both Barclays and Wyndham and have now been pitted against these corporations that say I should have been told I could have $50 OR 30,000 points. But, I was not told this... believe me, for $50 I would not have taken out the card.
I find it interesting that Wyndham and Worldmark have become such a poorly run mix of corporations that they cannot honor that someone (the original Worldmark rep) may not have presented the Barclays card offer properly and that others at Wyndham Rewards and Barclays asked if I had the original paperwork for taking out the card... What? They took that paperwork when I signed up for the card. If anyone should be able to produce the paperwork, it should be Worldmark, Wyndham or Barclays. Of course, that would not prove that the original rep didn't present the information like they said he should have.
If I could get out of this Worldmark/Wyndham/Barclays system, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Beware of the entire problem before you purchase anything from this group!
No accountability
I had a confirmed reservation on Reno for the night of Saturday, July 29th. I arrived with my family at ~7:00pm to check-in and was told they were overbooked and could not give me a room. No one had called to tell me this prior to my arrival and no one tried to find any other accommodations for us. I asked why I had not been notified when I had a confirmed reservation and I was told by the night-shift clerk that he couldn't help me and to call Worldmark. We were left stranded in Reno without a place to stay and by the time we found out, it was too late to call Worldmark for assistance.
We called them the next day and were given a case number, and a representative took down all the information. He told me they would follow-up within 3-5 days. A month later, and after Many follow-up calls, I still have not been able to talk to anyone who will help me get resolution. There is no accountability by anyone at Worldmark by Wyndham.
Poor Customer Service
They are very poor at taking responsibility for their mishaps and lack of functioning applications. They are not for their customers in no shape, form, or fashion. Each representative say they will note the account for the next representative, you call the account is noted, but no one follows up. Everything is the customer's fault, they can tell you, the customer what you need to do and how you can make things work / better, but they don't focus on what they can do to make the customer's experience better or even how they can function better. I can say a lot more, but all I will say is, poor customer service to the maximum!
Deceptive Practices and Manipulation by WorldMark by Wyndham
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to file a formal consumer report against WorldMark by Wyndham, a company that has demonstrated a shocking disregard for transparency, honesty, and ethical business practices. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share the details of my ordeal to warn others about the deceitful tactics employed by WorldMark by Wyndham.
I initially entered into an agreement with WorldMark by Wyndham for their timeshare services, which were marketed as an exciting opportunity to enjoy luxurious vacations around the world. However, my experience quickly turned into a nightmare. Firstly, I was promised that the service would be activated within 60 days, but it took an additional 30 days to see any progress. This delay was beyond the cancellation period, effectively trapping me in an agreement that I would have reconsidered given the true circumstances.
Furthermore, the company failed to disclose crucial information about their reservations system. I was shocked to discover that reservations are typically booked two years in advance, making it virtually impossible for any new member to secure their preferred vacation dates. This crucial detail was conveniently omitted during the sales process, leaving me and countless other unsuspecting consumers with a rude awakening when attempting to plan our trips.
Attempting to address these issues and cancel the service only revealed the true extent of WorldMark by Wyndham's unethical behavior. The cancellation team resorted to manipulation and abusive language in an attempt to prevent me from cancelling. Their disregard for customer concerns and resorting to such tactics is both appalling and unacceptable.
As if the deceptive practices weren't enough, the financial burden imposed by WorldMark by Wyndham is a staggering blow.
The financial debt and annual revolving dues have placed an undue burden on me, leaving me feeling trapped and deceived by a company that has no qualms about exploiting its customers.
I implore you to investigate WorldMark by Wyndham's practices thoroughly and take appropriate action to prevent other consumers from falling victim to their deceptive tactics. No one should have to endure the ordeal that I have faced at the hands of this unscrupulous company.
How many ways can they say we do not value our owners?
We have been owners since 2006. We have never liked their website. In the past it provided little customer data. We could not find history of our dues or loan payments.
Trying to book online was painfully slow but doable. Calling and having a representative book it was more dependable and slightly quicker.
In May of this year, we made the mistake of purchasing additional points. We wanted to be able to give each of our children the same number of points on our passing. Not a great investment but we want to encourage them to take time off!
The purchase was miserable the people we dealt with did not seem to know what they were doing. We finally got through it then the website was updated. Now we have ZERO historical data. Remember we have been members since 2006. Who updates their website but does not keep customer historical data these days? I wish we could sell all that we own from them but even if we try to sell back to them we lose a lot of money.
My new discontent started when I tried to use our own darn points. We have an existing reservation for August 2023 (we have it in writing and have verbally verified it with representative but there is no record of it in our profile). We tried to update the reservation to include another day (they do not allow booking of one day) and they informed me that I would have to pay additional $50 transfer fee because their fees have changed, and they have to redo reservation to add one day. We made the reservation in June. How many ways can they say we do not value long term customers.
We have always known a timeshare is not an investment but now we don't even believe Worldmark/Wyndham/whoever else they are calling themselves these days are a good vacation company. Do your homework before you buy.
Wasted 5 hours- Room of Liars
I would rather give 0 stars. We were lied to by Cody Lynch. We were held for 5 hours and pressed into a contract. We were adamant that we did not want them to run our credit or want a loan. 30 days later, we have a Wyndham Fin loan on our credit and credit score dropped 30 points. We did not agree to a loan.
I wish I couldâve give no star
I wish I couldâve give no star. Stayed at the WorldMark in Orlando Florida and were bitten by bed bugs room: . 4-314 this isnât a nice place to stay. Terrible to have to go on vacation and contract bed bugs. My three young children had to go through this. Stay Away From there. Check beds and sheets before u visit
Is it fraud???
I appear to be getting incorrect information when trying to make a reservation. The website shows availability but will not let me finalize a booking (13 months in advance) There reservation representatives tell me there is NO availability. This cannot be true. It appears there may be some kind of fraudulent activity here. Where is all the inventory going? I have been a member since 1999 and have never experienced in all those years what is happening now. I have filed a wire fraud complaint with the FBI to get their actions on record.
After 26 years
After 26 years, the companies going downhill. Had a representative lie to me about specific benefits and then when I found out I was misinformed they tried to make me pay for more credits just to fix the mistake of the rep. The Lies-Promises of future personal assistance from the sales manager, when it is illegal for sales rep to talk to customers after the sale. My mom was promised this twice, 2021 & 2022, then purchased more credits at Seaside. Stating they are held to a higher standard as licensed Real Estate brokers in ORE. Bellingham office had us forge my father off the account replacing w/the daughter there, to buy more credits without him. Itâs an unethical company money driven they donât care about members no matter how long youâve been there.
Complained to corp. office, they blamed us. Avoid at all costs. The debit this has caused will haunt me for years. Liars to your face.
My experience with Wyndham Club sinceâŠ
My experience with Wyndham Club since signing the contract in February 2016 has been incredibly disappointing. From the initial cold call promising a free 3-day cruise to ongoing misinformation and unfulfilled promises, Wyndham has shown a complete lack of integrity. During the presentation, we made it clear that we didn't want another timeshare, but Wyndham's representatives were relentless. They eventually offered a compromised half-week timeshare, assuring us we could still use it every other year. However, when we tried to book, we were told we didn't have enough ownership, forcing us to purchase additional days. We were given false information about the timeshare's value appreciation and the ability to rent it out. The claim that our children could inherit prepaid vacation time turned out to be untrue, as they would be burdened with maintenance fees forever. Attempts to book vacations and utilize the timeshare have been met with constant obstacles and staff changes. The promised "free 3-day cruise" never materialized. Wyndhamâs monthly calls for "update" meetings have proven to be nothing more than attempts to sell us more timeshare, without providing any meaningful updates. Our countless efforts to communicate with Wyndham and find usable options have been met with frustration and a lack of assistance. As retired individuals on fixed incomes, the substantial costs we've incurred for a timeshare we can't fully utilize have become increasingly burdensome. Wyndham Club's deceptive practices and failure to deliver on promises have left me deeply dissatisfied. I strongly advise others to approach their offers with caution and be wary of the misinformation that accompanies their presentations.
Dont trust Super 8 by Wyndham Sandusky
I will never book a trip from them again, me and my family was going to ohio and booked a hotel at Super 8 by Wyndham Sandusky and they scammed us, I told them july 14-18 were my days and i repeated it multiple times, and come to find out the man put june 14-20 and I didnât even know and when june 14 came they took money off my card, I was so confused and called them they said maâam you book for june and i said no how will I book for june and Iâm at work and not in ohio I said i booked for july and could you switch my days because me and my family really needs this vacation and they gave me a hard time and I donât want the money just switch my days to the month and days I want and they still havenât and they have my money still to, Im so upset, they are not legit.
