We had a fantastic experience with XYZ Solicitors during the sale of our old property and the purchase of our new one. Hredi, who handled our case, was outstanding from beginning to end. She was always professional, approachable, and incredibly efficient. Communication was clear and timely throughout, and we always felt well-informed and supported.

It was recommended that we use Francis-Lloyd Cummings at XYZ Law through our estate agents. I have heard lots of bad things about property solicitors over the years, however, I can only say very positive things about Francis. He was just brilliant from start to finish and got us over the line just in time to save on the Stamp Duty rise. He was always quick to respond to questions, and his overall communication was unbeatable. I would not hesitate to recommend Francis for your house moves!

Naeema was brilliant in helping us buy our first home. Everything was completed ahead of time and led to our buying process being much quicker. I always received a quick reply to queries. Would recommend using XYZ law and will be using them in future.

Couldn’t have been worse, Stephen Ablett was awful from start to finish rude and unprofessional and then went missing on completion day after confirming it was ok with him so we couldn't complete and had to wait another week. Never replied to emails and had to chase constantly. Maybe the agents fault rather than the company but they should have stepped in and removed him!

Naeema was extremely prompt and professional at every point of my property purchase journey. She went above and beyond to ensure all processes and communications were made as swiftly as possible to ensure a smooth exchange.

Unfortunately I have to knock off 1 star as my initial communications (not with Naeema) were opaque about progress.

XYZ handled the sale of our property with outstanding professionalism. Noreen and Chloe were excellent throughout – their communication was clear, timely, and always reassuring. The process had a few complexities, but they took everything in their stride and managed it seamlessly. Their efficiency made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and well-managed. I’ll definitely use them again and highly recommend their services for any property matters.

It was all good until it wasn’t 2 years later.

We were given incorrect advice, which has now resulted in us incurring thousands of pounds in service charges. No retention funds were held from previous owner. They failed to do their due diligence and protect us from financial loss. We submitted a formal complaint three weeks ago and have yet to receive any acknowledgment from anyone copied into the email—including customer services, managing directors, and partners.

It’s deeply disappointing to find that even firms entrusted with a duty of care and integrity cannot be relied upon.

I would advise to stay clear from any company that is not willing to go above and beyond to rectify issues for their customers, especially after money has been received.

I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to XYZ Law, and in particular, to Zaid, for the outstanding support we received. Our case was quite complex and ended up taking longer than anticipated, which made it a very stressful time for our family.

Although Zaid wasn’t initially responsible for our case, he stepped in when we experienced poor communication and a lack of support from the original case handler. From that point on, Zaid kept us fully informed and made the effort to call both myself and my parents to offer reassurance and clarity throughout the process.

What stood out most is that he did all this while managing his own workload — this wasn’t even his case to begin with. He truly went above and beyond, and his dedication and professionalism made a difficult situation far more manageable.

Zaid is a real asset to your team. If you’re seeking someone who is both capable and genuinely cares about his clients, I would highly recommend asking for him by name — you’ll be in very good hands.

Overall a good experience with XYZ solicitors, especially with the solicitor Nitesh Rewatkar who was friendly, helpful, was quick to respond to any queries and kept movement going on to bring about completion of a home purchase.

The only thing stopping a 5 star review was a miscommunication with initially getting set up with XYZ solicitors where I didn't have access to my solicitor and had to go through a few phone numbers before finally getting there!

Selling a house is something you do only a few times in your life so I approached this with a little apprehension. I needn't have worried, Faye Brown and Leanne Mordue were excellent explaining the steps in the sale, dealing with everything professionally and keeping me informed at every stage. XYZ were very helpful and provided a great service.

My husband has been for weeks trying to organise a transfer of equity which has now become urgent. Instead of getting on with it, we keep being met with poor communication, no focus on the case and general incompetence. The person in charge of our case has not taken any accountability for the delays and has had the situation explained to him more than once. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After selling our house end of January and purchasing one in Feb, I cannot fault the hard work that Honey at XYZ law put in to meet the stamp duty deadline, unfortunately our buyers solicitors hadn’t been as amazing. However i am still so happy with the service we received and Would recommend them to anyone buying and selling.
