Worst stay ever
We returned last night from adelphi hotel in Liverpool, I have never in my life been in such a filthy dirty hotel with ignorant reception staff and very low quality cold food, everything was a disaster from the minute we stepped into hotel until the minute we left, Mark our driver could do nothing about the accident that held us up on Monday, but was in constant contact with hotel on our arrival time , we were told to go straight down for our meal when we arrived so we went in were allocated a table for the 4 of us and went for soup none left a few stale roll with no butter were there on buffet there was cold pizza cold chips cold scrapings of some white creamy stuff not enough for a portion, little fish bite they said was scampi no tails in there, pudding was apple crumble with no crumble or dried out cakes with little custard, we were told they will not be cooking anymore as they don't have anything, so we went to Macdonalds for tea, checking in at reception we were told that we weren't booked in manager Cieran was aggressive and very ignorant towards us, Mark had to go back to where bus was parked to get his list for them leaving us at reception for 30 minutes, a man from another coach tried to check in and they demanded city tax from him which we experienced later, he handed over a 10 pound Scottish note and was told we only accept British money here, that was from the arrogant trainee that looked us up and down the whole time we were there, breakfast following day only beans were warm everything was sailing in grease, just dumped in didn't look or taste appetising, bacon and sausages half looked burnt half looked raw, could break your teeth on hash browns, lucky if you got water in morning as was near always empty, only 1 fruit juice machine that was very busy, rooms were dusty and very hot as towel rail in toilet was that hot it would burn your leg, manager just turned his nose up saying heating in the room is not on nor is the towel rail as it's not required in this heat, my husband has a disability and requires a socket near his bed for cpap machine he also has a ruptured vertebrae in his back, no sockets near bed when asking for someone to help with extension 3 times we never got one, or someone to help move bed it didn't happen, baring in mind this is day one, nothing improved in course of the week we ate out every night nut looked into restaurant every night just the same shambles only toast and tea we had in morning, this whole trip should be refunded minus drivers and fuel cost disgraceful, also coming home after dinner homeless people sleep on the landings, they come into hotel after 10pm we had one at the end of our landing 375 was our room. I use Google reviews and will be posting this so others do not have to suffer this experience, I lost my parents last year my wife paid trip for myself and my sister, horrendous.
