DISGUSTED!!
Arrived last night to find that the hotel, Jaz Casa del Mar Beach, I had actually booked had no record of me!! Seriously embarrassing! It appeared my booking had been transferred to a completely different hotel, Iberotel, Casa del Mar resort! I had NO prior warning or notice, nobody able to help here. The hotels ARE NOT anywhere near equivalent, especially in facilities! It looks like I have NO choice , and will be raising a further complaint with ABTA.
Since this on the spot review, I have finally managed to contact the in country support, which I must say is very good, this is ongoing, very unhappy with their initial response offering a pittance in compensation and they still believe that the hotels are equivalent Jaz - 5* Ultra All inclusive - Iberotel - mediocre 4* with half the facilities! I will be submitting a full complaint when I return after the 11 January. If I were to get an acceptable outcome, I will be more than happy to remove this. In the meantime I have learnt that the problem wasn’t Sunshine, but their contractor who does their bookings, however, my contract is with Sunshine, so I therefore hold them responsible for ruining what was a very much looked forward to relaxing ‘luxury’ break
