Quick and Simple
Claim sorted quickly with 2 options ... I could organise the repair myself and provide the information requested or send it to one of their repairers. I did the latter and the collection, repair and delivery was within a week. The longest part for me was making sure all my info was backed up and then putting it all back on again as I'm not very technologically minded!

I wouldn't even give them 1 star at this rate, they don't deserve any.
I had initially lost my phone, and then found it, however, it has been severely damaged and is completely non-functional. I filed my claim and have been ignored ever since, not even an acknowledgement email to say they are beginning to work on my claim, or any updates, despite emailing on three occasions now.
I am now left in a position where I do not have any money left in my current account (there is some in savings) and I can't access my banking apps to transfer money across because they are sending passcodes to a phone that is only a bright screen and does not work.
There are no phone numbers anywhere for this
'claim sorted' and they don't seem to care that I am left without a phone or access to money. I will now have to go and buy a phone, so I've paid years of this insurance for nothing?
It is absolutely abysmal that 'claim sorted' can't even send a basic email to manage client expectations when they have been left with the stress of not having a phone or any access to money. I will be taking this further.
very poor service after a traumatic fire at home
the company took far too long (many months) to sort a claim following a fire in our home which hurt our dog, traumatised our baby and both of us. the whole process was dragged out due to lack of continuity and communication between staff members at so sure, meaning we we without most of our main, large furniture for a very long time. the process was difficult, to say the least, and the company took no ownership nor made acknowledgement of this delay and trouble caused in such an upsetting and difficult time.
Poor service and expensive in comparison to competitors
I cannot recommend So-Sure insurance based on my experience.
When I made a claim for my Pixel 7, the process was handled extremely poorly. Their appointed contractor failed to collect my phone on the first attempt because the courier didn’t even come to the door – adding further delay. Once my device was finally assessed, a replacement was ordered but turned out to be faulty, creating yet more delays before another handset was sourced.
The replacement I eventually received was not fit for purpose – it overheated and the battery life was terrible. In the end, I had to buy a new device myself at my own expense.
To make matters worse, when I tried to insure my new Pixel 10 Pro, So-Sure told me they could not cover it. My premium also jumped up significantly at renewal 10 months earlier from £77.76 to £101.19 despite my insured handset having depreciated significantly in value.
I raised a formal complaint, but their “final decision” letter ignored most of the issues I raised, offered no meaningful resolution, and dismissed my request for cancellation/refund.
This has left me out of pocket, without confidence in their service, and feeling that So-Sure are neither fair nor transparent. I will not be renewing my policy and would caution others to think twice before choosing them.
Terrible!
My son was without his phone when he needed it most. This company haven't asked once at renewal for phone receipts until I put a claim in. It was one taking ages to get back to me with emails.
Ive since cancelled but please be aware, if you want to claim they will treat you like an idiot but can take money for over 4 years off you.
TV CLAIM
Kids broke the tv. Called sosure completed claim over phone. Sent pictures etc by email. 24 hours later they emailed to say they would settle the claim 48 hours after that. I sent them bank details and 3 /4days later I received funds. im very happy with the service I received.
Disappointed Service, cancelling my insurance policy
I called as mobile needs to be repaired. Value Checkers Ltd took forever to arrange collection of mobile. I despatched my mobile on 30th of July 2025 and Value Checkers Ltd took two weeks for sending me replacement device. What's point to pay for insurance if it would take two weeks for repair or replacement. I'm using so sure from past over 8 years but going to cancel with them after this repaired. Value Checkers Ltd didn't confirmed any details for replacement mobile. I emailed them and they replied we don't provide any confirmation for replacement device. We only provide if customer request. What a joke. Cancelling insurance with so-sure mobile insurance and staying away from Value Checkers Ltd.

Fraudulent company
Nothing works on the online claims portal and when I tried to make a claim via phone I was assured I would receive an email confirming and this email never came. I have paid for this insurance for two years. Fraudulent
Impossible
I have had my insurance with this company for about two years and when I needed to make a claim nothing works. I tried the online claim form, they couldn't find my policy. I tried the chat, they gave me an email address that told me I would get a response in a few days, nothing. I called the number, the person logged my request for a call back to speak to someone, nothing. Is is IMPOSSIBLE to make a claim, this not fit for purpose. I cancelled my payment and isn't it interesting that I got a text AND an email about it. Im so disappointed and have WASTED two years worth of money on an empty promise.

Very happy with So-Sure as insurance is affordable and when I needed it they were efficient so get everything going.
As little disappointed with Value Checkeryit was passed onto for repairs as it took longer than I anticipated but overall all good.
Mobile phone insurance
Very poor service had mobile phone insurance with so sure and the claims process was an absolute nightmare constantly chasing the claim and left without a phone for too long, avoid at all costs

Dont know why theres bad reviews ive had a Great experience so far, lost my phone in town and they sorted it out for me and gave me a new one, along as you give them the correct documents and details you won't have a problem with this company thanks again guys for being reliable this has truly helped me having this Insurance my policy for the claim was SSUMOB1007659 thanks guys
Diabolical company
Diabolical company. I was insured with them for my last three mobile phones. Every two years when I upgraded I changed and/ or cancelled the policy to reflect new phone and model. Policy would adjust accordingly with price of direct debit so the other policy was cancelled and only one payment was taken out of my bank account to reflect the price of the new phone policy. In March 2023 I upgraded my phone and everything I needed to do was done accordingly for the old phone policy not to be running and the new direct debit was in place for new phone. Except they didn't cancel the old phone insurance. Despite me cancelling it. Yesterday I had an email from them about renewal for my S23 and I've just upgraded to S25 so I wanted to cancel as found another insurer for the S25. When I logged in I was very surprised to see my old S20 policy still running . Before this I had an app for this company which never once showed the S20 as still being insured since I changed phones in 2023. I emailed them and they have basically lied about it and won't refund . I called my bank and my bank have refunded it and said they were taking it out in different names too at different times. I rarely check my banking app and have electronic statements so I didn't notice it. Avoid. They are unscrupulous and scammers. Distorting company. I will be taking further action.
