Humax Aura EZ - not fully fit for purpose.

I've had this Freely streamer and digital terrestrial recorder a few weeks now and find it to be extremely glitchy. Often it refuses to load all Freely channels and necessitates being turned off and on again to resolve. The first software "update" sorted the ITVX issue but appeared to be more a software replacement and deleted all recording schedules and existing recorded material.
What it needs:
Reliable software.
The ability to change channel automatically at a certain time to watch a programme, just like a 15 year old tv.
Apps such as Netflix, Prime, NowTV etc. If it can use BBC iPlayer and ITVX then why not these as well?
An app for mobile phone control. They say it's under development.
Hopefully the device itself is still under development. The concept is brilliant but it's not yet ready to replace my Virgin TV box.

Excellent value

Ordered for the first time on Monday and provided the additional information requested the same day. Processing was completed on Tuesday and the item despatched free by Royal Mail 24. Received Wednesday.
Rapid processing and £65 cheaper than other suppliers.

Excellent work

Had a reversing camera fitted to my Fiesta to display on the existing Ford Sync 3 screen. (Not a huge car but such a small rear window!)
Very pleased with the quality of work, the welcome received at Reception and discussion with the technicians.
I could probably have sourced and fitted myself but this would likely involve a lesser quality camera and lots of frustration and swearing.
Best left to the experts and they certainly are expert at this. Thoroughly recommend.

Does exactly what it's meant to do and it's British.

I never thought there was that much moisture in my house! Had it a week now and it's produced about 10L of water. After running continuously for a few days the SMART system has adjusted such that it does not run all the time. No more condensation on windows and the house feels warmer.
Bought at a discount directly from Ebac and delivered within 3 days by DPD.

Communication ✅

I currently have a power cut. I was asleep and only knew because there was a text on my phone when I awoke. I am now getting regular updates on repair progress which is very much appreciated.

Knowledgeable advice and good service

Went to the Gillingham store to confirm that what I had set my mind on online was suitable. Greeted on entry and offered assistance. Salesperson was able to answer all my questions and show me the function of the sofa. Complimentary coffee taken whilst discussing price and modular options. No hard sell. As agreed salesperson phoned me later that day after I had arranged my existing suite into the approximate size and shape of the one I was interested in. Order placed. A simple process and worth a 45 minute drive earlier that day.

Great customer service and honours guarantee

Nearly 4 years ago I bought a Harcostar 227L water butt from EvenGreener via Amazon. This month it developed a leak. After checking through Amazon Q&A I found that the water butt had a 5 year guarantee. I contacted EvenGreener Customer Support and just a few days after providing evidence of original purchase and the leak I received a new water butt. Very satisfied customer.

Never thought I would find a courier worse than Hermes.

Have now wasted 2 days waiting at home for a delivery. Their so-called track and trace still has a status of "collecting". Phoning is useless since it's automated. Webchat yesterday said there had been a mistake and it would be delivered today. Webchat today said the item had not reached the local depot and suggested I speak to the consignor to raise a case with TNT. I'm really not expecting to see the item ever.

Timekeeping not a speciality.

0900 appointment and car was not touched until about 0925. I had to rearrange my next appointment elsewhere. Saw the fitter with my keys in his hand walk out of the building and I pointed out to him where I had parked. He didn't even acknowledge me.
On the positive side they changed the tyre as expected.
Wasted time in providing a report on the condition of the other tyres because apparently I can't see that myself. Also it was a reasonable price for a tyre not made in China.

Excellent Customer Service - Canterbury Store

Already a fan of Slater Menswear for their value for money quality, they were my first choice when I needed a dinner suit and accessories. I was greeted when I entered the store, pointed in the right direction and told an assistant would be with me shortly. Charlie C arrived minutes later, listened to what I wanted and was able to advise and help me select. Altogether a simple process. The assistant carried everything to the till, waited with me until a cashier was available then wished me a good day and departed. I really couldn't hope for a better shopping experience.

Initially impressed then disappointed. Poor service.

I ordered similar items twice on different days during the last week. The first item was delivered within 2 days and was left in the letterbox. The second item was initially due delivery on Thursday but was rescheduled to Friday. On Friday the UPS App stated that they were unable to collect the item, even though it was obviously a delivery. The item was then rescheduled for delivery today, Monday. Despite having been in all morning the App now tells me that they were unable to deliver and the item has now been diverted to a local UPS access point. There is a clear sign on the door to knock and even if I couldn't hear a knock then the dog would. In my opinion this smells of a driver not wanting to go too far out of his way to make a delivery.

New fridge freezer

Have used AO before so quite happy with their pricing and service normally. In this case they lowered the price by £20 after I’d purchased. I therefore cancelled and purchased the cheaper item. A few days before delivery I was called by one of there agents assuring me that the order was still due for delivery as planned but really trying to sell me insurance. He offered to take the old appliance away as a goodwill gesture before I refused the insurance. Delivery men were not aware of this arrangement and left the old appliance.

Having previously bought in store a suit I knew the exact size I needed and online ordering was straightforward. Items arrived by courier within a few days well wrapped and of good quality and value.
Can’t understand why I never found Slaters Menswear before!
