Very disappointing. I booked 5 windows and a patio door in March. The work was installed but then not completed for 6 months. This was kind of ok as we were renovating the flat during that time so it wasn't ready to move in to. The problem came with the overall finish. The brushes around all the patio door edges are clearly visible and quite ugly. Gordon at the office was at first willing to engage with us on this issue but when it couldn't be resolved by themselves I got a very unpleasant call from a bully insisting that I settle up the full amount. Their only argument in their own favour was saying that the brushes "may" wear down in time and become less visible. However, I was also told it was an issue from their supplier ie they were the wrong brushes. Also the siliconing around the patio doors is a real mess and some of the child restrictors requested were never supplied or fitted. I was finally offered a £200 discount for the delay and the finish so paid a total of £6,000 for a job I was not happy with. This is particularly disappointing as I was offered the windows at a price £1,000 less than Advanced Group but went with them because many reviews said their after sales service was so good.

I am sorry to hear that you do not feel fully satisfied with your installation from ourselves and I apologise for any delays that may have occurred. With the current situation, ourselves like many businesses are feeling the effects of both supply shortages and staff absences due to isolations.
Without further details from yourself, unfortunately I cannot pull up your file and investigate the specific details.
The purpose of the patio door brushes (woolpile) is to prevent draughts and possible water ingress and our supplier only provides the one type – it is possible for the brushes to protrude but with consistent use of the door in time, this does decrease.
The patio door in our showroom is exactly the same and is available for viewing, should you wish to pop in.
It saddens me to see you refer to one of our staff members as a ‘bully’ – this seems to be because payment was requested for the work carried out.
We are a small, dedicated team and do not appreciate our staff being subjected to hurtful language.
We offer a 15-year guarantee on our windows and doors and offer a remedial service – if you are not happy with the sealant or require restrictors, please get in touch with our Customer Care team on 01355 271 226 and they will be more than happy to book in an engineer’s appointment for yourself.

I previously wrote a 5 star review. Have reconsidered this with hindsight so am adding this. Be aware that the reviews on this page are just for a phone conversation to make an appointment for a salesperson to meet you at the property. After that appt I had a quote which was ok but did not turn out to be the best quote (which I got from Advanced Windows who have been in business for 35 years). I don't believe there really is a help to buy scheme, it is just a hook to get the salesperson in your door.

The service you receive from Help 2 Buy, to put simply is the phone conversation to arrange an appointment, and anything that happens after is the responsibility of the company that we arranged the appointment with.
We feel this review feels a little unfair as you're giving us a negative review for the price offered by another business, it's kind of like writing a negative review on a comparison site if you received high car insurance quotes.
