I have tried to raise a complaint about OVO a whopping 8 times now due to the fact after my year with them ended I had £35 left and suddenly about a week later when I still hadn't received my credit back I checked my account to see that not only had they not processed my refund, it had dropped to £19 and they have been charging me despite the fact I am now with a different energy company. I tried to explain this to a live chat agent who gaslighted me and refused to raise my complaint, ignored me for 40 minutes then closed the chat as I was apparently inactive after not responding for 2 minutes... the second agent did the exact same thing just closed the chat for inactivity when they are the ones not replying, so I contacted their complaint email who are saying that I am not messaging them from the correct email which is am outright lie, all correspondence I have to them has always been from the email that I emailed them from. They refuse to take accountability for their actions and do anything to avoid raising a complaint. Would not go newr them again even if they were the cheapers provider by a mile, awful company.

Would definitely not recommend.

I joined via a refferal code from a friend as it say you can obtain between £25 and £150 in credit. After signing up and depositing £100 into my account to get everything set up, they told me I can not get the refferal offer as I "signed up through a comparison site" which is simply not the case, I raised this with the live chat agent who misunderstood on several occasions and after hours finally understood what I said but then would not update it to apply the code.

The agents were extremely unhelpful and dismissive and ended the chat for "inactivity" on several occasions despite the fact that I was the last person to reply in the conversation.

I had invited my partner and my sister to join 2 so that was 3 new customers in the same day but instead they refused to help me and were even rude and dismissive about it, I have since told my partner and my sister not to bother completing their sign ups as the service was so terrible.

Would definitely not recommend.

The customer service team refuse to help people woth additional needs and disregard any complaints you may have. Really not worth installing as they are not helpful at all.

They charge extortionate fees and…

They charge extortionate fees and promise welcome incentives for depositing which are stupidly low, got told i could win up to £250 for depositing £10 then it only gave me 25p and costed £1.29 to send the money back to my bank. Would not recommend, as for their reply, none of those points are relevant to me and do not affect my review so I do not see the purpose of their response.

Scam site

Scam site, said to deposit £10 for 150 free spins. Then they said I did not opt into the bonus when firstly there is nowhere to opt into the bonus and secondly it said nothing at all about opting in on the terms and conditions, I screenshotted and showed them proof and they still refused to budge. Will be requesting a chargebakc with my bank for my £10

Scammers charged me 3 times

Scammers charged me 3 times because it kept saying that the page does not exist and didn't take the money from my account. It was just a ploy to get me to pay multiple times then when I ask for a refund say I have to either keep my order or pay a massive fee. Dirty scammers

Awful service across the board

When I started with them they refused to let me go with them unless I did a £300 downpayment because I failed credit reference checks because I had just moved into the address, surely that's a usual thing considering that's the main time people change suppliers?

I asked them about the price because there was an alternate supplier charging £25 less a month with similar reviews. They didn't even answer me or offer anything they just sent me an email saying they have removed my refferal bonus and cancelled my tariff... Umm well I never asked for that I was simply asking a question. But after that major mess up I decided I will switch to the alternate provider except they won't give me my £300 back and keep ignoring my emails everytime I request it.

Oh yeah and your fake radio adverts from fake customers talking about how good octopus is isn't tricking anybody...

Very bad company to deal with

When you make a change on their app to add your railcard it states the old price and the new price. In my case I paid £39.99 and after adding my railcard the price should have changed to £29. There was nothing to indicate anything otherwise, so when I confirmed my change I was shocked to find out that I would not be getting any refund whatsoever. So I contacted trainline to explain its a fault on their app and this is not stated anywhere and they refused to accommodate my request of returning my £10.99. Also I asked about cancelling my ticket but they would only refund me £29 rather than the £39.99 I paid. One of their advisors on the phone even outright lied to me and said they have a £10 admin fee which I know isn't the case and when I pulled him up on this he hung up on me. Very bad company to deal with and when I suggest they fix this on their app they refused to acknowledge the issue or even look into it purely because they don't want to refund my £10.99 which is of course nothing to them.

Wrong about drops multiple times

Wrong about drops multiple times, I got one from smyths and they told me there is no point refreshing as they were all gone and then I got one 5 minutes later. People are saying they were right about drops but they have about 5 wrong predictions for every 1 drop they get correct. The trustpilot score is only high because they leave a link to review them when they finally do get it right.
