What a rip off

What a rip off. Tickets were advertised on a Facebook flyer at £17.50 each. Go to Skiddle though and the early bird is £19.60 and sold out. Naturally.
Then you have the mid-price ticket at £22.40 and sold out. Naturally.
Only tickets left are the top price ticket at £24.64 and I don't even know what extra I get for a top price ticket.
It also states you get instant ticket delivery. I'm not even allowed to print mine off until the end of April.
According to Skiddle, you get genuine face value tickets. Well the tickets are not face value and they won't be sold at face value if there is a booking fee.
It's about time someone did something about these rip off merchants like Skiddle, Ticketmaster et al.

Is that the best response you could come up with?
I don't think I could have been more detailed with my review.
Lazy promoters need to give themselves a shake and sell the tickets for their own events which would cut out the costs paid to "middlemen" who do very little to justify their involvement in the sale process.

Really poor Customer Service

Really poor Customer Service. I applied for a new phone and contract but because I had a beard on my passport photo, the Affirm AI couldn't identify me. I contacted customer service and explained that I needed help to prove who I said I was, but now we have AI in control, there is no work around. Humans are no longer required because AI is in charge and unless you fit the AI's profile, you can't get anywhere. I bought the iphone 17 and sim deal from Mozillion, because they were the cheapest for both the phone and sim but if anything goes wrong, I'll only have AI to rely on so I'm going to look for another sim deal, even if it's more expensive. Got an email from Mozillion customer service yesterday asking if there was still a problem with Affirm. They didn't even know that I had to buy the phone outright. Maybe AI forgot to tell them.

Like the National Lottery

Like the National Lottery, Omaze are continually looking for more ways to get us to spend more money on raffles with a tiny chance of winning. They also play the sympathy card continually, by telling us how much we are giving to charities, but no mention of how much profit they make.

Very expensive for cheap Chinese products

Already had an air source heat pump and PV panels fitted by another company and asked Green Energy Group for a quote to supply and fit a 5Kw battery and inverter. Was quoted 5k, but if I ordered a 10Kw battery that day, it would only cost 7.5k. This kind of pressure sales technique is not allowed. I ended up getting a 10Kw battery and inverter from Soly. Cost was just over 5k and products are made in the UK. Did some research on the Green Energy Company products and they are Chinese in origin and we all know how cheap Chinese products are. I suspect Green Energy Company have put quite a mark up on the prices while everyone is buying renewables before the price eventually drops.

Easy to get hooked

You start off with a monthly subscription, which then starts all the email with quick draws for this and special draws for that. Plus you also receive email giving you extra draw entries for half price etc etc
Before long, your initial monthly subscription can become very expensive.

The installer hit a few snags due to…

The installer hit a few snags due to the construction of my 1950s end terrace, which meant the installation took longer than expected.

Rather than go through the handover/registration process, the installer bailed as soon as the charger was fitted and linked to my WiFi account.

The final process was simple enough to complete but reading the instructions, it was a process he should have done with me as an observer.

I would not say I was all that happy with the installation and thought that my 3 star review would have indicated that. The installer also promised to come back the following week to tidy up the awful cable trunking that he fitted, funnily enough, I'm still waiting.

Installer said that he could be hired to fit 2 chargers a day if he wanted, which is fine so long as there are no issues. If you kept it to just one charger a day, the quality might improve.

What a nightmare of a company to try…

What a nightmare of a company to try and do business with. You get an on screen valuation which is beyond your wildest dreams. 2-3 days later you receive an email where the valuation has dropped 1.7k. Supply us with some photos and you can get a higher price, so I get the car valeted and washed, looking its best and the valuation drops another couple of hundred.

Your reply would make people think that it was the photos I sent of my car were the reason for the lowered estimate. This is absolutely not the case. The initial estimate was lowered by 1.7k before I even had the chance to take/send the photos and apart from some very slight kerbing of the 2 front wheels, my car is in showroom condition and is very well looked after and serviced. I send you photos of a showroom condition car that has recently been serviced and has new front pads & discs (Alcon's finest at £1400) and the valuation goes down another £300. Someone at your end is playing a wild game.

Continuing bad start for British Gas

Received a reply from Helen in Customer Service. Her advice was to use social media to contact them. Who in their right mind uses social media, with all the hackers, to send their details?
If I don't want to use social media I can always use web chat. She obviously didn't read the part of my previous email that says that web chat would not load up.
Well done Helen, you were of absolutely no help whatsoever.

Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.
Latest response from Carrie this time, who plainly did not read my review or is AI that is programmed to just post the same reply over, and over again.
I am not prepared to contact British Gas using social media. For clarity, this means I will not send you DMs over FB, X or anything else.
I can't contact you through web chat either as it does not load up and I don't have all day to watch it buffering.

Continuing bad start for British Gas

After getting another email to supply my meter readings, I spoke to customer services and had my readings added, or so I thought. Three days later I get another email stating that I still have not given my meter readings. So I go for BG's fastest response method of Live Chat, it's supposedly been loading now for over 10 mins, at least it doesn't have the dreaded rotating buffering icon.
British Gas, if you must try everything to you can to get rid of humans and replace them with AI, now there's a misnomer if ever there was one, it at least has to work. I have not even had my first bill and already I'm regretting this switch. Good job it's only for a year. British Gas please do not respond to this review by telling me to get in touch with you because I can't. Just fix this issue.

Bad start

In the process of transferring from Octopus to British Gas. Received an email from BG saying my account is now live and they need a meter read. Sign in to my account and there is no facility in my account to submit my meter reads Not the best start from my new supplier.

Chaos, from start to finish

I ordered my w/machine on the 24/05, which was a bank holiday weekend. I was informed that the delivery company would contact me within 24/48hrs but was expecting a delay because of the bank holiday. 5 days later I get a link from the delivery company to select my delivery date. The link was broken so I couldn't select my date. I get another link a couple of days later but the only dates are more than a week in the future. I select a date on the 07/06 which is approved, only to receive an email an hour later to say that that date/time is not available. I contact Hoover customer service, for what is about the 3rd time to advise them that If I don't get my appliance delivered before the 08/06, that I will be looking for a refund. 2 days later I get a delivery date of 06/06 and instead of a 12hr time window, I get a 3hr time window. The delivery guys called me an hour before they arrived and were very efficient in taking away the old machine and setting up the new one. I can safely say that this will be my last Hoover purchase.

Unreliable disposables

I purchased the equivalent of 7 disposables vapes every week for my mother. I can usually rely on at least 1 of those disposables not working from the start or fail not long after starting to use them. The low cost of these disposables makes hardly worth the time of raising it with 88 Vape.

Mid contract price hikes.
Difficult to speak to a customer service agent, I'm not counting bots.

Just ordered the latest batch for my…

Just ordered the latest batch for my addict mother and so many failures in such a small batch of 20, iirc. My mother uses at least 7 elf bars per week and there is at least 1 failure per week, which on it's own is not worth returning. There are also vapes that barely last a day and how do you prove that? Disposable vapes from 88 vape are very unreliable but this, I suspect, is the same no matter which supplier you use as it's usually cheap Chinese sh-it.

I ordered the big pack

I ordered the big pack, just over £200. It took 2 days to arrive and was free. Don't know if that was because I ordered it at the optimum time but thankful anyway. My Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4830 immediately flagged up an error message that the ink was not genuine Epson but message was cleared and worked straight away.

Got a quote from Devitt for my Aprilia 2022 RSV4 1100 Factory for just over 1k. Ending up getting the same policy for £300 from Bikesure. Devitt what are you thinking about? I'm in my late 50s, don't do loads of miles, have had my full bike licence for more than 40 years and have 5 years NCB.
