POOOOOOOR! AVOID

POOOOOOOR! I’ve been shopping with Randall’s Candles for over three years, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. The candle I received wasn’t as described and had clear defects. When I contacted customer service, they refused to accept photos of the issue and insisted the product was fine, even though it clearly wasn’t.

To make matters worse, they flat-out refused to offer a refund, leaving me stuck with a defective item. Their dismissive and unhelpful attitude was shocking, especially from a brand I’ve supported for so long.

Randall’s used to be my go-to for quality candles and great service, but sadly, it’s not the same anymore. The quality has gone downhill, and their approach to customers has completely changed. I wouldn’t recommend them anymore.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

I placed an order on the 4th of October, and despite their claim of 24-hour dispatch, I hadn’t received anything after a week. I was shocked, so I tried calling them multiple times, but the line often went straight to voicemail. When I finally got through, the representative was dismissive and informed me that despite advertising plenty of stock, my size was out of stock.

The men I spoke to on the phone were consistently rude, repeatedly telling me to call back in an hour, only for them to ignore me or say they didn’t have time to deal with my issue. This went on for two weeks before I could even get a refund, during which I was frequently brushed off with the same “we don’t have time for this” excuse.

At one point, they told me to place another order due to a payment issue with my first one, promising same-day dispatch. I called back the following Monday for a tracking number, only to be told again they were too busy to help and that I should call back when it suited them.

They did offer to send out a free bottle as compensation, but when it arrived, the scent was entirely different from the sample I had previously ordered from Amazon. It’s clear they lack consistency in both their products and packaging.

Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this brand. Even if they respond, it’s likely just damage control. I have voice recordings of one of their representatives yelling at me, even though I was calm and simply asking for an update.

My initial encounter with Qatar Airways…

My initial encounter with Qatar Airways, approximately five years ago, left a lasting negative impression. During a flight to Thailand, I endured a 16-hour period without food due to the airline purportedly running out. Despite promptly reporting this issue and being assured priority for meal service, I encountered further inconvenience with a broken seat, necessitating a delayed relocation after takeoff, despite early check-in. This experience understandably deterred me from further engagements with Qatar Airways.

Regrettably, my recent attempt to give Qatar Airways a second chance has only compounded my disillusionment. Following a flight booking through a travel agency, I sought to upgrade from Economy to Business Class to avoid a recurrence of past grievances. Upon receiving notification of a minor flight schedule adjustment in March, I promptly contacted Qatar Airways to discuss the upgrade option, along with the possibility of booking Lounge access. Despite expressing my willingness to pay additional fees, my initial call ended abruptly, leaving my upgrade request unresolved. Subsequent attempts to address the matter were met with passive and dismissive responses from customer service representatives. Despite my persistence, requests to escalate the issue to a supervisor were repeatedly denied, culminating in a disheartening interaction with a purported supervisor who refused to acknowledge or address my concerns.

The consistent lack of attentiveness and accountability displayed by Qatar Airways staff during these encounters has left me deeply unsettled. As a result, I am compelled to seek alternative airline arrangements for my upcoming travel plans, as I cannot risk enduring similar treatment on the day of my journey.

In light of these experiences, I implore Qatar Airways to reassess its customer service protocols and prioritise accountability and responsiveness to ensure a more satisfactory experience for all passengers.
