First of all, the sound quality of the device (Zen Q Thunderbolt), in & out is at a very high level.
The Control Panel is very nicely thought of and designed and it becomes very easy to use after 30 minutes.
The FX sound much better than most of other plugins out there and the ability to use them both for tracking (with no latency), but also for mixing and mastering makes them a great accessory.
I would love the mic emulations to be available for post processing when you own an Antelope's interface , so as not to need an iLok.
I had some problems with installing the interface and with making everything work in the beginning, but the support was very helpful and quick with their responses, so everything was solved quickly.
Previously I've owned a Zen Go which was also a great interface. Now I own a Zen Q and three Edge Solo mics. I'd like to go for the Discrete 8 Synergy Core, or even Better for the Orion.

Antelope gear is awesome highly recommend it

ORION 3rd gen is great sounding unit compared to its price tag. but i had some I/O routing issues in conjunction with my PT HDX rig.

I have a Zen Go and needed a bit of guidance getting on the correct configuration. Support was highly responsive. I’ve received tech support and also had to process an exchange with their team and both times the resolution was quick and favorable.

I have several Antelope audio interfaces and also Satori analog monitoring and summing unit and they all sound great. The slightly weaker part of this manufacturer was the Antelope Launcher software, which was previously a bit unstable and sometimes confusing with information (version numbers, etc.). Now the situation is better. The problem area is sometimes the support, it is slow, lengthy and sometimes not very helpful.
But the hardware is excellent in this price range.

Great audio gear. Horrible company with all of the subscriptions services. I am literally getting ads when opening my audio interface control app for an interface that I have paid over 1k for. Not supporting you any more.

The sound quality of my Antelope Zen Q Synergy Core hardware is superb (in my opinion). However, 3 years in, and I still have stability issues with the associated software for the Windows 11 with Thunderbolt platform. I get by, with the help of your tech support team (and I'm a techie), but just wish I could boot up, launch the software, and have everything just work. But like I said previously, I now know the workarounds and get by.

Soundwise the orion studio synergy is superb. I sent top of the line-unit from a leading manufacturer back as I could not live with the sterile sound it sent to the monitors. The Antelope was half the price and twice the sound. Connectivity is very good. Stability also good. Negatives: the amplification in both the speaker and headphones stages are much to weak. So weak you may have trouble trying to record for example vocals with a vocalist that wants it loud.
Since the volume knob is also fixed at one db increments, prepare for a lot of turning of the knob.
Antelopes own arcitechture of plugs and daw:ish side of the interface is useless to me running PT and want to remain doing so. Since the Orion has no dsp cept for Antelopes plugs, prepare to swith to minimal buffer size everytime you record something.
The negatives of the Orion Studio Synergy Core sound card are annoying. But the sound it produces is really very good.

Well in my Studio this wonderfull audio interface I will never remove.

I've tried multiple devices by Antelope Audio: Zen Tour, Zen Quadro, Edge Duo, and Edge note. They have all been stellar. When I had hiccups, the support staff resolved all my issues and were very knowledgeable. I am an enormous fan of this company!

The audio quality of my Zen go in superb! What i didn't like was the software support.
When I bought the sound card in promotion, on the site it was written that for the Mac the AFX2GO software the compatibility for the Thunderbolt version would arrive soon. To date, after about a year, I find myself with all the plugins that I have not been able to use and will never use.

The sound and interfacing is spectacular… but, what I would love is to have the Edge Note microphone modeling included in the Galaxy 32 core processing, as opposed to just the plugin in my DAW. I would also love to have the AFX2DAW capability included, as well… I paid for the core processing but annoyed by the inability to use it like the UAD core processing. This interface is way too good to not utilize all aspects of this technology. Thank you, so much.

This is about a long since discontinued DAC, the Zodiac platinum with the assorted Rubidium clock: both are superb although the Voltikus power supply can be substantially improved on. The design of the Dac and its analogue section is world class

Two issues; Having add banner at devices control panel is unacceptable. still no reply about my status on DSP licence (do I have any or not) I have sent question months ago. Not that I use it or plan to do so, but still, radio silence after asking question is very bad for any company. Other than that, pretty cool device.
