I contacted avery Walter’s Solicitors to inquire about their hourly rates and request a ballpark quote for work related to a workplace stress claim. An administrative assistant took down my personal details, which felt overly intrusive given that I was simply asking for pricing information.
Also I was asked to provide documents before providing a quote. I provided the requested documents on the understanding that, under GDPR, their purpose was solely to assess the case facts and generate a quote.

Shortly after a few days I received an email from someone to say would not look at the case.
However, despite this, I never received a quote. This raises serious questions about why the firm requested my documents in the first place and what they actually did with them. Given that the document was relatively short and straightforward, it should not have taken a few days to review—especially for a specialist employment solicitor.

I followed this up via email and phone in which I never got a response.

Overall, avery Walter’s Solicitors came across as unprofessional and unresponsive. If you’re looking for a firm that keeps you updated and acts promptly, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Rather than alleviating

Required a Grant of Probate after my mother passed away. Had never been through this process before, but Ellie at Avery Walters was excellent at explaining everything clearly and comprehensively, and oversee a process which end-to-end took only a few weeks.

My case was opened with Avery Walters around 3 years ago when I was knocked off my bike by a lorry, I was only 16 at the time so didn’t quite understand a lot of the legal stuff, but David Cartwright was excellent and everything he explained to me was very clear and helpful. It was a long process but I am so thankful to David for keeping me updated every step of the way and working hard to achieve a great result.

David’s responses were always very quick, I always received a reply either the same day or the next working day which was great. I didn’t always understand the Doctor’s reports but David was great in simplifying what they had said so that I understood exactly what they had said which I greatly appreciated.

I would have absolutely zero hesitation in recommending Avery Walters and David Cartwright to anyone who is looking for a great solicitor! My experience with this business was great and will definitely use them again if needed.
