Nightmare Customer Service from their "Smile" Center
Do yourself a favour and just buy a photo printer or go to Staples. I submitted an order of 500+ photos.
Issues:
* poor quality of photos (many had a blurry or smudged appearance)
* Received photos that were inexplicably cropped despite fitting into the stated formatting
* Received 9 duplicates of 1 photo.
Despite these issues, I understand that mistakes happen and reached out to customer service to at least get the 9 photos that were missing. Customer service was absolutely abysmal in helping me resolve this issue. They asked me to send the 9 photos that were missed. I initially dragged and dropped the photos into my order so this literally took me 2 hours to try to figure out which ones were missed. I then received an email back claiming that a lab analysis determine that the ones I sent weren't in the initial order. This is for the value of $1.00 btw. If they have the technology to assess the photos, they should've just sent me the photos that were missed without making me go through all of that extra effort. Unbelievable. I'm glad I did this test run before printing my wedding album. Do not use blacks.
A couple of the prints had lines
A couple of the prints had lines - I asked for a bit of credit. The woman insisted I send an example - which is saying "PLEASE TRAIN OUR STAFF' . Got them redone at walmart. Meanwhile plenty of codes she could have offered. It was a small order. Why would I scan their own prints - I explained I was doing another order - but it was lost on her that it is so much less effort for everyone. She knew exactly what it was - happened before- but instead she pretended she didn't know what I was talking about.
Awful experience
It was my first time with this store. Iâll never ever buy anything from them.
I returned my item unused and in it original's packaging instead of getting full refund for some reason I was only issued a partial refund. I requested an explanation till this day my emails remain unanswered. I really feel violated and robbed
Fast Shipping and great products
Great online product offerings, easy to create amazing calendars, etc... Beautiful products, and the shipping was so fast right before the holidays it was incredible... and that was the free shipping. Above and beyond!

Unhappy Customer
It was my first time ordering from Blacks but we really wanted some high quality prints for our wedding photos. We printed 2 8x10 family portraits and they cropped off 3 of our family members on the side. We emailed them to see if theres anything they can do on their behalf but they refused to refund or reprint out photos. They were not nice with their emails and I will never order from black again. I can't believe I spent over $100 to be dissatisfy with their service.
Custom ordered coffee mug really well made
Ordered a custom mug and absolutely delighted with the product. The mug is good quality and you can tell they used high quality paint and sealant. I've had the mug for three months and it's been in the dishwasher over 90 times; still pristine, no fading at all. Very pleased, would recommend.
Privacy breach
Privacy breach. My photos were sent to someone else. I got theirs. Blacks never apologized. Just resent the photos.
Look elsewhere for a photo puzzle
Look elsewhere for a photo puzzle. While the print quality is very good, the quality of the puzzle pieces is not. The pieces are very thin and there are too many pieces that are very similar to one another. It makes it nearly impossible to complete the puzzle. Rerettable. I had high hopes for this
My order never even arrived
I ordered March 1st and my photos never arrived. When I contacted them on day 8, they told me the delivery time in Ontario is actually 5-12 days, which is not what is promised on the website. So if you need photos by a specific date, don't trust the delivery times listed on the website. Like me, you may not even receive your order at all.
Edit: Pictures eventually arrived at the end of the month.

I have ordered calendars for the past several years and find the process intuitive, the selection of themes ample, the quality of the calendars outstanding, and the shipping prompt.

I ordered metal Christmas ornaments and a puzzle. They all had to be reprinted due to poor quality, mainly because they paid no attention to how I placed the image within the product borders. Two identical ornaments came with two different positions on the ornament - one chopping off the head of a person. Another ornament was printed with white lines showing, which were not in the image. And the contrast of the puzzle print was so strong that it blew out my highlights and clipped the shadows, making the overall print look muddy. The piece of paper showing the image that comes with the puzzle looked great, so itâs not the image, but the print quality. For my reprint, one ornament didnât show up, and the puzzle looked exactly the same. Really poor for a âphoto finishing companyâ. I do not recommend them. Update: the ornament showed up and also looked exactly the same - white lines. I'm asking for a refund.
Horrible prints. So upset.
I will change this review once I receive some sort of acknowledgement regarding my order. I had my wedding photos printed out to make albums as Christmas gifts, SO MANY of these prints are terrible. Some are half black & white/half yellow. Some have massive blue streaks of ink across them. Some are just horribly printed. What a waste of time and money, now I'm screwed for Christmas. Thanks. Do you have a quality department your product passes through before shipment or??? I am giving 2 stars because the shipment was quick and a large portion of the prints are fine. But a good chunk of them are not usable and a major setback for me. Quite upsetting.
**EDIT: I am putting this back down to 1 star because the more I look through my order of 1600+ prints, the more f*cked they get. They are ruined by fuchsia and cyan ink bleeding onto everything. Red lines. All my favourite photos are absolutely horrid. The colours are awful. The printing is awful. All of this is awful. There's no chance you have a quality department. Now I have to go elsewhere and spend more money to reprint and expedite everything. Good job guys ruined at least one bride's Christmas. I was really looking forward to getting these done and now it's nothing but added stress.
Photo cushion
I ordered a photo cushion with a photo of my black Labrador (deceased) It is so beautiful, I cried when I saw it. Photo is clear. Service was awesome. Received in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a second one of my deceased Bernese Mountain Dog. Again great quality and fast delivery. Will be ordering again.

I created a beautiful photo album and come Christmas Day, we are opening the gift box only to find out that we have received someone else's photo album. Extremely unprofessional. Someone else has my private family pictures and we have one from as someone else.
Never going to use the service again. Be aware!!!

Terrible customer service, messed up my order and shipped only part of my order the other part is apparently waiting in the shipping department for the part that I already received as customer service tried to cancel part of my order without asking me as they just left a message saying they would be cancelling part of my order due to them believing I made a mistake when ordering. So when I called to correct them that I still wanted my whole order and did not make a mistake when ordering, it still took almost a week to get anything and now I have a partial order and not even the part of the order that was most important. So frustrated, waiting on my Christmas cards that should have been here a week ago. Now hoping I will get them before Christmas, but who knows.
