Wow, what a great review Jer, thank you. You’ve summed up exactly what we try so hard to protect. Proper pastry, proper filling and no shortcuts. It’s reassuring to hear that after a break you came back and found the same quality waiting for you. We hope to bake for you again soon!

Thank you so much for the kind words, we love hearing when pies genuinely hit the spot. The Roast Chicken Dinner Pie got a tonne of positive feedback last month and we are glad you enjoyed it as much as we did making it! Hope we can bake for you again soon :)

Thanks for giving us a try, Susan, and for taking the time to leave a review.

We’re sorry to hear the taster box wasn’t for you on this occasion but we do appreciate the feedback. Many customers really enjoy using the taster box to discover their new favourites, but we understand tastes can differ. Thanks again for ordering with us.

Bowen Pies.

Thanks for the review, Michael. Great to hear you enjoyed the pies and found the taster box good value. If you order again, our Build a Pie Box offer is a handy way to mix and match your favourites at a better price.

Thanks so much for your review Ant, and for saying you enjoy the quality of our pies, that really means a lot.

Just to clear one thing up first, our steak pies in the shop are £4.50, not £3.25, so I think there might’ve been a mix up on the price there. That said, we completely get where you’re coming from on the online costs.

The reason there’s a small difference is because posting pies safely isn’t cheap - the insulated box, foil lining and cool packs alone come in at around £11 per order, before you even add in the online payment and website fees. That’s why online prices look a little higher compared to picking them up in person.

We’ve kept delivery as low as we can at £4.95, and it’s free if you’re ordering over £50. Hopefully that explains things a bit better.

We really do appreciate your feedback though and we’ll always be as open and fair as we can.

I’m really sorry to read your review, John. We’d never want anyone to feel they’ve been left without their order. We hadn’t received any message from you about this, otherwise we’d have looked into it straight away.

I’ve checked the details linked to your email and can see that your order was marked as successfully delivered to the correct address, with photographic confirmation from the courier. We’re not sure what’s gone wrong here, but we’d love to get this sorted for you.

If you could drop us a quick message via our website (email, phone or contact form), we’ll be able to go through the details together and resolve this.

Glad to hear you enjoyed most of your pies Tony, and especially the pork. Sorry the cheese & onion wasn’t quite your cup of tea (or pie!) this time. Tastes do differ but we’ll keep an eye on the balance there. Appreciate the kind words and we’ll look forward to baking for you again soon.
