Great product and customer service

Great product and customer service. We had an issue with our Cadac Carri Chef 2 which occurred near the end of the warranty period. After an initial minimal delay in arranging collection the issue was dealt with quickly by the Cadac team and a replacement has been delivered today! The service was fantastic and we are delighted the issue was resolved so quickly and professionally by the very helpful Cadac team.

I have nothing but good things to say

I have nothing but good things to say. Faulty stem and base wouldn’t come apart. Allison offered to collect the faulty bits and replace them. Collection of the faulty bits was a bit of a problem but in the end she sent the replacement bits before finally collecting the faulty bits. Communication was excellent. Thanks for the service

Excellent Customer Service experience

Had a super quick resolution to an issue I had with the lid/cover on CADAC 2 COOK 2 PO. After e-mailing all the details requested I received the lid next day. Very impressive.

Great products and customer service

Great products and customer service. I've been using the Carry Chef 2 on a weekly basis at home during the summer and the Safari Chef Pro for park visits etc...

Amazing products! I did have a small issue with one of the regulators, I emailed Cadac and got a response then next day asking for more info which I sent. They have now shipped a replacement regulator so I should be back braai'ing before the weekend!

If I could give Cadac a zero star…

If I could give Cadac a zero star rating I would. Their customer service is absolutely awful. I would never again recommend buying their products.

I had been a big fan of Cadac, until this summer when my relatively new device had a fault. They’ve spent six weeks messing me around, with barely any replies to my messages. There is no customer service phone number (and they wouldn’t provide one when I asked). They said they had fixed my device but sent it back exactly the same as it was and are in no hurry (still) to fix it properly or replace it. The tone of the messages from the warranty dept are brusque - they constantly imply through their tone that they don’t want to know..

NEVER BUY A CADAC PRODUCT, they are not a reputable company.

Non existent warranty

I bought a cadac safari chef and came to use it for the first time last week on a campsite.

It did not ignite and I had used all my matches up.

I emailed the warranty department and got an auto response saying someone will be in touch. It's been over a week now and haven't heard anything more back.

I would say that's poor and I will not be recommending them. I guess I should have got a camping gaz bbq instead for less money.

had an issue with the grill plate kept falling off the lugs of the fat pan changed with no problem 18 months on i thought is was me till i found others never had a problem with the same model cant thank them enought great bit of kit and great staff thank you the team at Cadac

Bought one of these BBQs earlier this year primarily for it's size and weight upon using it I have found some issues if it's not level your food can and will roll off ie sausages because the grill level has no Recess to stop this happening next and a real pain the flame can and does go out and it's very difficult to see if it has
The lid is also a pain even if you use the hook to hang it on the side
Good points
Non stick is excellent
Setting up is easy and cooks well providing the flame hasn't blown out
Would I recommend it No not until it gets modified

Some tips which I hope will help with your concerns; we do offer a leg leveller for when cooking on uneven ground, the BBQs are not self levelling unfortunately but the leg leveller resolves this type of problem. Additionally the fat pan has flame peep holes for you to keep a check on the flame. If the BBQ is blowing out, shelter with a wind breaker or similar, keep the hose to around 1.5-2m as anything longer may give you a drop in pressure. Our Cadac Citi Chef is dangerous and…

Our Cadac Citi Chef is dangerous and virtually useless. The flame blows out is the slightest breeze. We contacted Cadac within the warranty period and they were very dismissive about the issue.
The dangerous issue is the flame goes out and gas continues to escape. If you try to relight the gas the following explosion blasts the lid up. This happens multiple times on every barbecue session. I want them to replace it with a better product but they have not responded to my emails. I have put the video on YouTube. Just search exploding Cadac.

Please note. I did contact Cadac to complain about the issue over a year earlier. I was efficiently and politely fobbed off and told the issue was to do with either gas regulator or the brand of gas used.

Our Cadac developed an issue where it…

Our Cadac developed an issue where it caught fire after use damaging the burner plate and the dome. Even though our warranty had run out Cadac were amazing. Collection was within days and dome and burner plate replaced. Carol was amazing and always contactable and we experienced wonderful service. Can’t fault it, and want to say a massive thank you to all that supported us.

Safety issues and manufacturing fault

Had serious issues with the Cadac Chef 50. The BBQ developed a serious fault where the flame came underneath and melted the plastic near the gas inlet pipe. This could have led to burning and personal injury.

Returned the product to Cadac within the warranty period. Rather than replacing, Cadac UK chose to repair. Upon returning the same fault arose again, seriously burning the plastic adjustment valve and burning the plastic near the gas inlet valve.

Luckily no one was hurt.

Very poor service and dismissive response from the company. Emails unanswered for long periods and slow response times.

Very disappointed customer.

Product and after-sales: brilliant!

We purchased the Safari 30 - which I think is the smallest you can get - for a long European trip by motorhome. It is brilliant! Frugal in its use of gas (took 4 canisters but used only one), hugely versatile and quick to set up. It cooks well too. On return, BBQd for six people, just to demonstrate it.
I did have a problem with the starter (which I think on reflection was something I had done) and emailed Cadac and got a helpful and speedy response from Allison (thank you!) telling me what might be the issue. Problem solved. Great product and great service. I am a fan!

Recently purchased an Safari Chef 2 BBQ upon great feedback from various people and FB sites. Unfortunately upon 1st use it developed an fault. Cadac Warranty team were great . Special thanks to Allison , whom provided great support. Identifying and replaced the faulty component. Really impressed with the great customer services, modular design and overall quality of Cadac , sure my fault was a one off. Promptly purchased another BBQ unit for a relative to enjoy. thank you

Do not buy a Cadac

Do not buy a Cadac. I had one bought for me 10 years ago as 60th birthday present. It ha been used about a dozen times and is past its warranty. The thing that Cadac don't tell you is if it drops in bits and burns you they aren't bothered because it is out of warranty. Cars have a warranty but if the car through a manufacturer fault caused injuries then the warranty would be irrelevant. Trading Standards are investigating Cadac as they make dangerous products. DO NOT BUY!!!
