Ordered a birthday cake for my wife’s 40th, the cake was delivered broken apart. I emailed photos of the damaged cake and was sent a reply stating terms and conditions for refunds. Have not heard anything back from this company to offer even a partial refund. DO NOT ORDER YOUR CAKE FROM THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY IF ITS FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. Absolutely embarrassing

I recently ordered a plain iced (large) sponge, with extra writing on it for my husband's 60th birthday party. It was delivered excellently, well packaged and as promised. On opening the aroma was mouth-watering, taking the cake out, it was just perfect and ready for me to personalised. As for eating it, it was light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness in the cream and jam and there wasn't too much icing (just right). Totally thrilled and with a huge family, of 8 children and currently 21 grandchildren, I will be making further orders. Amazing value for money and saved me so much stress. Thank you!

Ordering a cake for my son’s birthday was an easy and seamless process. The range of customisation on offer was extensive and welcomed. We ordered a SpongeBob cake and it was fantastic, the kids at the party loved it and everyone wanted to eat Patrick! The cake was lovely, i will definitely use Caker Street again.

Ordering the cake cake was very easy with lots of options... The cake was very well presented and packaged very well . Unfortunately I know this has no reflection on the bakery but the was never a time slot allocated so I had to take a day of work waiting for it to be delivered...baring this perfect

A very wide choice of designs and delivered by DHL who are a lot more reliable than many couriers

ordered a cake for my daughters birthday. Spoke to sales and told them exactly what I wanted. The figure on top of the cake came with different coloured hair. No topper. “Happy birthday was wrote on the board and not on the cake. No birthday bottles. . So I asked for a refund as this wasn’t what I paid for. They offered me a goodwill of 15% I refused they then offered me 50% refund of which I have been chasing now for over 4 weeks . No replies to emails and when I phone they cancel the call. So to sum up. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I am now seeking legal advice to claim all my money back and have sent all documentation to trading standards. Disgraceful company. I won’t let this drop. Legal fees I will be chasing back and looking forward to seeing them in the small claims court. Let’s see how they like it and this will defo cost them without a doubt.

My cake was damaged from poor packaging during shipment and they completely ignored me! It is just a scam! There are lots of other complaints about this place on Facebook.

I ordered a cake for my son’s 17th birthday and when it arrived it was damaged and had slid to one side of the box ruining the base and the personal message. When I emailed and asked for a refund no one responded for 3 days and I was told I wasn’t entitled to a refund because of there return policy

“Damaged Products

If your cake arrives damaged:

Register your complaint within 12 hours of receiving the order.
Provide clear photos of the damaged cake and packaging.
Return the cake within 24 hours of delivery.
The cake must be returned in the same condition as received.
Email proof of return to…
Return shipping costs will be covered by the company.
Refund will be issued after inspection of the returned product.

3. Non-Return of Product

As our products are perishable, evaluation is only possible upon physical inspection.

If the product is not returned:

Refund requests will not be fully entertained.
Only a maximum of 20% of the order amount may be provided at the company’s discretion.”

So to receive a refund I would have to have returned the cake which was large in size on a Friday evening within 24hrs which which would have cost me over £80 the cake was £95. It seems to me they do have written this knowing how unachievable this is. So not only are you left without a cake for a special occasion with no time to replace you have to return to get a refund like other reviewers I will be reporting to trading standards as I believe this an unreasonable request for a damaged product.
I also rang them 5 times trying each number option and twice got sent to a voicemail that couldn’t take a message and 3 times the receiver was picked up and hung up again.

Ordered an 8inch naked cake with fresh strawberries for a 40th birthday. Received a small fondant cake that had been so damaged in transit it wasn't even usable. The cake was nowhere near what was ordered. It is difficult to understand how something so obviously incorrect and poorly presented could have been sent out to a paying customer in the first place. I wish I could add photos for people to see how bad it actually was.
Now I can't get hold of them to arrange a refund. If I could give zero stars, I would.

CAKER STREET RUINED MY DAUGHTER’S 18TH BIRTHDAY

I am beyond furious and deeply disappointed with Caker Street.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 18th birthday — a milestone celebration with a big party planned, and the cake was meant to be one of the main highlights of the day. Instead, Caker Street completely let us down and ruined what should have been a special memory for my daughter.

Just two days before the event, they contacted me to say they would not be able to deliver on the agreed date and would instead deliver on the actual day of the party. That was already stressful and unprofessional, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I waited the entire day, hoping the cake would arrive. Nothing came. Then, just a few minutes before 11:00 p.m., they sent a message saying the cake had been “destroyed in transit” and would not be delivered at all.

At that point, the party was already over. No cake. No solution. No proper apology. Nothing.

How do you do that to someone on their 18th birthday? My daughter was devastated, and honestly, so was I. It was humiliating, upsetting, and completely unacceptable. A company that claims to provide cakes for special occasions should understand how important timing is. You do not leave a customer waiting all day, only to cancel at the very end of the night when it is too late to do anything.

The whole situation felt careless, disrespectful, and unbelievably badly handled. I do not believe this company took our order seriously at all.

This is, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any business. I would never trust Caker Street again.

Ordered birthday cake for grandsons 5th birthday it arrived damaged must have been done as it was being put in box because HAP letters were missing from Happy and a big piece of blue icing. Had this happened in transit thecletters and blue icing would be in the box

The cake has arrived damaged and all melted down. They dispatched it with regular delivery with no food refrigerator. I had to throw it out. It was for my girls birthday party. They offered to refund me half of the money, I asked them to refund me all the money and they still didn’t answer. Never in my life will I order from them!
