Absolutely incompetent, the app and timetables are a joke. Dont even bother catching buses number 30, 44, or 45, they NEVER follow the timetable, are out of service most of th3 time, I don't even know 2ht they exist to be honest.
Also, I can't even measure the amount of times buses number 8 and 9 and up being one after the other with less than a minute difference, and the next bus coming in 30 minutes.
Finally, don't even try catching a bus after 5pm, cause apparently no one is working at that time and you will have to wait at least 25 minutes.
Do the people in Cardiff a favor and please fix whatever is going on.

Forget looking at the time table. I never catch the bus and I now realise why.
Researched the times and locations so I could catch my train to London.
I turned up at the bus stop in time only to find the bus wasn't even in service.
And, the next bus was at a totally different time to the time table.
Typical lazy, we are doing you a favour and take it or leave it. All these reviews will be ignored I have absolutely no doubt of that.

I work in Saint mellons and i live in RUMNEY by the hill ,everytime in out of work around 8:30pmi waited bus number 45 bus always out of service and change the number of bus into 44 until now 10:50 pm still waiting at the bus stop.it is a nightmare two more hours nobody around is very dangerous.i wish make the bus schedule on time,dont wait something happen before you take action.

Having returned to Cardiff after leaving 7 years ago I have tried today to travel by bus across the city. I have to say that Cardiff City Bus Service is in a shambolic state, no information, no timetables, no buses. The service providers should be absolutely ashamed of the service they are providing to the public in Cardiff. Its disgraceful.

Cardiff bus has become worse since the pandemic. The drivers seem to follow their own schedule, no thoughts spared for those who got to go to work

This is a query as to what happened to the 19.38 no2 bus service from Colchester avenue, when checked on the map it was going through Cathays, so why did it miss out half the route and it hasn't gone past me as I been on the bus stop opposite lidl on Colchester avenue a while before it was due. As this is the last one this is very poor.

Easily the worst thing Cardiff city has to offer.
As a teenager without a car, the bus service is the only option I have for transport.
To get to school or work I have to fall back on 3 different bus stops. The buses are either late or don't show up at all, regardless of what the app or timetable says. Witnessing the second coming of Christ would be more likely than a Cardiff bus arriving on time.
The amount of stress this service has caused me by being late is unfathomable.
I would give it -5 stars.
If your visiting Cardiff get a taxi or walk, trust me you won't regret it

Bus didn't even show up at the stop, not the first time it's happened to me, end up walking home. What's the point in public transport that doesn't transport anyone?

I have lived in Llandaff North just over 2 years , and the only negative to living here , which is a massive one , is Cardiff Bus. They take buses out of service at the drop of a hat and can barely run to time, if you do complain about waiting up to an hour for a bus you'll get some flippant reply about heavy traffic or lack of drivers, but in truth they couldn't care less.
The scale of the ineptitude & lack of care towards customers is breath taking in it's cavalier attitude.
Run a bus company, they couldn't run a bath , a two year old child should have to tell them which end the taps were.

Cardiff Bus is an expensive poor excuse for a bus service. There is no service. The buses are infrequent, unreliable and limited in scope, impossible way to get around the city or to work/school. Just getting across the city (Llandaf to Splott) is an impossible aim. Absolute disgrace but they don’t care. Big salaries for top dogs rewarded for failure

Still disgusting service- late for everyday whilst leaving over an hour to make a 20 minute journey; absolutel joke. They dont care about quality of transport or timetables- might as well just show up with a guaranteed wait of 35 minutes. F*** YOU CARDIFF BUS

This is not a fitting service for a capital city in Western Europe. I have used buses in France, Germany, Spain , Italy. Sadly Cardiff Bus lags far behind. Today my outward bus was late and my return bus like a deep freeze. The driver saiid he would not put the heating on if passengers closed the windows. Of course passengers closed them so we journed on in an icebox!!! 😟

Absolute nightmare since changing to a Saturday time bus service and now unable to get to work early on just one bus and have to catch 2 and arrive late. Let's hope this is sorted soon as restrictions eases in Wales.

I understand we are going through hard time but you are making me late!

This company is a joke all they want is money but don't want to meet what they promise the public, late again i have to leave an extra 1hr early because of the jock of a service Cardiff bus provides... Now bear in mind it's a no9 witch gose and come from the heath hospital.... How great is that.... I think Cardiff bus needs to pull its self together, I rely on Cardiff bus because I can't sit my theory because of the back log they have to please tell me when I am meant to do and walking a 3 hr walk to work isn't an idea

My wife & 1 year old are freezing cold. Waiting for a bus that never came! Pathetic service!

Seems to me that many drivers are fantastic, really down down earth, what is apparent is that it’s a management issue. Cardiff city had a great company with regular services running from most stops, these days, I find myself waiting on average 30 minutes of a bus. Having drivers having to be recited from as far as london tell the story, covid-18 is a cop-out for a service that has not been met nor delivered to its customer of Cardiff.

Cardiff Bus Service, is not really a service at all, especially the No. 49 bus. This bus always upon always arrives late if at all. Last evening went for a bus in Churchill way. 49 was due within 18 minutes. As the time turned to its arrival time, the bus vanished off the screen in the bus shelter. No. 50 was a further 20 mins or so, the 49, an hour later. This is dreadful. There is no warning and no rhyme or reason for the same to just vanish. It wasnt busy and there were no traffic jams. This leaves not only elderly and vulnerable people stranded but everyone else. Cardiff bus, should be ashamed of themselves. They never apologise, they never explain. Buses arrive and leave spot on time in Europe, failure to do so results in a hefty fine to the driver. Maybe this should apply in Cardiff, both driver and Manager being fined for every bus that doesn't turn up or arrives late. Agreed, traffic sometimes is a problem but most of the time, no specific reason. Cardiff Bus sort yourselves out, your drivers and all office staff rely on the passengers for their salaries.

The app is showing ghost buses. Like one was shown to have passed me. But strangely no bus was seen at all.
