They keep charging me the subscription fee despite told them repeatedly to stop it. They have been reported to my bank for fraud.

Please be aware of this before deciding ro join. Insubscribing is next to impossible.

They take forever to let you cancel. I emailed several times, my first email was answered with a response to give a cancellation reason then once I responded I was completely ignored for a week. Quick to take your money though

The meetings are well run and I am enjoying reading different books I might not otherwise have tried. I don't love the venue, but that is a minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

Alice is a great host, really makes everyone feel welcome. Lovely group, would definitely recommend joining ☺️

Our lovely Peterborough 1 Chaper25 bookcase has brought together a wonderful group of people who wanted to get out of their homes, meet new friends, and chat all things books. It's succeeded in doing all of the above. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves books or who wants to rekindle their love of reading. We're a fun bunch who meet socially outside the bookclub now too. Cinema, festivals, and day trips, (not to mention the odd evening event) all happen regularly. It's worth every penny of the monty subscription 🙌 😊.

Such a lovely community, the book selections are chosen by the members and the monthly meet ups are always great fun. Our group host Alice is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Every book club is so well organised but still feels chill and relaxing. I love that it’s not serious and there’s no pressure to have read the book, some months I don’t read the book and I still go along to the meet up for a chin-wag and a catchup. Alice at the Wellingborough club is a lovely host, she’s so welcoming to everyone and really livens up the atmosphere!

Joining this club was one of the most exciting things I’ve done in a while!
We happened to have an amazing host here in Watford, that I can now call a friend. Not only that - the community I’ve gained is a pure blessing. So many beautiful, intelligent, funny and talented women. And, of course, the fact that I am now reading on a regular basis is a huge part🤍

I’ve also got to mention the team on a large scale. My emails would always get the fastest and the most kind responses. Always there to assist and resolve any issues promptly.

I’ve been a member of Chapter 25 Kettering since it began, and I genuinely look forward to the monthly meetings. Through the group, I’ve met lots of lovely people and enjoyed chatting about the book of the month, as well as books and literature in general.
One of the things I value most is how the club has encouraged me to read genres I would never previously have considered. It has broadened my reading horizons and introduced me to some wonderful books.
Our host, Alice, works incredibly hard to ensure every meeting is well organised, engaging, and fun, with plenty of activities in addition to the book discussion. She is amazing—so welcoming, friendly, and always makes time to chat with everyone who attends.
There is a monthly subscription fee, and it is absolutely worth every penny. I would highly recommend Chapter 25 Kettering to anyone who enjoys reading and wants to share that passion with a friendly and supportive community.

Nice idea but more attention needs to be paid to accessibility of venues. Stairs are not an option for some and you risk excluding paying members. Cancelled my subscription.

Chapter 25 - South Shields is so much fun! Everyone who attends is so lovely and friendly, it's the highlight of my month!

Amazing book club - I've been going since my local group began about 9 months ago and it's been such a lovely way to meet new people, chat about books, and arrange some socials between book club sessions too <3

It's been a year since I joined Wolverhampton book club and I love being part of this book club, the books are great, I've met nice people, have interesting conversations, discover great books. The host is amazing, she's involved, a friendly face for new comers.
I'm always waiting for the meetings, I know for sure that I'll have a nice evening with people that love books as much as I do.

It’s such a fun group. I joined because even after a few years in a new city I still struggled to make friends. I wish I’d found C25 sooner - it’s been so fab and everyone if so friendly and welcoming. I just love being a part of it. Some of us hang out outside of club as well and it’s just the most fun.

I love coming to Chapter 25, I've been a member since January 2026. It's friendly, warm and welcoming. It gets me out of my house and out of my comfort zone. I've met some wonderful people so far. I do wish it was a little cheaper, especially considering the book isn't included in the subscription itself, but it is what it is.

I really look forward to every session with this book club where we discuss a book of the month and complete light hearted bookish activities, vote on future books and engage with various events.

Despite being the only male there, everyone is really friendly and open to discussion and opinions.

I joined the Warrington group in October after contemplating it due to nerves. I’ve always loved reading and thought it’s a great idea to get together with other people who do. On the first meet up, I was very nervous walking into a room where I knew nobody but I was instantly reassured by the host. I sat down on a table with some others and was made to feel welcome immediately! Since then, I have made a great circle of friends and we’ve done so many activities together outside of the book club too. I would 100% recommend joining your local group if you are considering it!
The monthly books are great and you become motivated to read more books through each month given the amount of recommendations you receive from others!

I absolutely love coming to the book club every month and meeting new people. Our host Emily (Tunbridge Wells Book Club) is incredible! This book club is a perfect way to discuss books and have a fun time doing it!

A lovely community, that offers great value for money with both in person and online clubs to participate in. Provides a wonderful opportunity to meet other bookworms in your local area and discuss great books, share recommendations and just generally spend time with like minded people!
