Great product, it is very easy to grow plants as basil etc with this. The pods in which the seeds arrive are always delivered on time.

One disadvantage is that the seeds pods are relatively expensive.

Initial Grow kit was great, all pods sprouted and 80% grew to maturity, even after transplanting to regular planters. The second set of refill pods only sprouted 25% of them, and some of those died before fully maturing. Have ordered a third set of pods, will see how that goes. May have just been some bad seeds in them......overall good experience.

The C&G units are great. I bought it for the design and simplicity. Being able to simply top up with water makes it easy to grow the plants without the possibility of over watering them or "killing them with love".

The simplicity of the design makes it a great product but also limiting. As you can only fill up with water from one spot it also restricts you from cleaning out the water tank as over time plant matter gets into the water reservoir and starts to affect the fresh water. It would be great if there were an easier way to clean this out but unfortunately there isn't.

I love how the plants grow fast and mostly consistently which proves the C&G pods have all that the plants need to seed and grow in the early stages. I have however had a few pods that either don't grow anything or it doesn't get passed tiny sprouts.

One limitation with this system is also that you need to plant all new plants at the same time. You cannot leave plants in there while starting new ones as the grown ones tend to eclipse the light and doesn't provide any light for the new seedlings which ultimately kills them. I have had thins happen on my last grow cycle and taught me to rather replant the taller plants before adding anything new.

All in all I like my C&G. I have grown many plants in it over the time I have had it and have started to replant various herbs once they use up all the nutrients in the pods. It is mostly consistent with a few plants being rather underwhelming. It is however up to you as the user to notice if a plant is struggling and replant it to get it to survive or move it to get the light it needs.

I own the Smart Garden 3 and 9 for a few weeks now. I got them from a 3rd party seller because it was a lot cheaper (even with the C&G discount codes given) and faster shipping.

All of the pods have germinated and are growing plants quickly, it's really satisfying to see the grow cycle and it looks nice indoor. I mainly opted for C&G because of the design and how easy it is with the pods.

As many others have said, the lack of smart features is a bit disappointing. Others on the market have standard wifi features built in for scheduling and outdoor control. Bluetooth just isn’t enough these days, so I saved myself some money and got the regular SG9 with a €5 wifi smart plug and have remote access to controlling the light schedules.

The companion app is nice, but could definitely use an upgrade. Push notifications (or at least the option) for tips would be appreciated. It's also a bit slow with too many loading screens and doesn’t fill your screen on modern Android devices.

I really like the subscription service, although they said in their blog they would update the system with features to upgrade or change the frequency of your subscription many months ago. I'm not a fan of GLS as courier, but understand it's easiest / most affordable option with international parcels.

I definitely recommend this system and customer service has been great.

10 days in and yellow tomatoes have sprouted. No activity at all on chillies or strawberries.
Unit is nice, easy to put together so no complaints. Hard to say much more until I see if the plants grow.

I just simply love it! To eat the fresh greens, to see them grow, the whole system. We even put a webcamera in front of our click&grow to make a timelapse video. Now we have a lot of short films about dancing plants :)

The delivery of the pods & Click & Grow itself was a bit later than I expected.
But the overall experience is very good and as expected - the plants are growing fast & pretty tasty (the one you can eat :D).
In one of the pods I've found mold - not great overall, but the plant can be still utilised in the separate from other plants.

The Click and Grow is so easy to set up and after only a week I have sprouts!

I resurrected my 3 pot garden after 2 years of neglect, bought some lettuce and herb pods for it. After a week, I realized that I should have replaced the wicks, and ordered some and when they arrived installed them. It's now got 2 pods germinated, hoping the third shows soon. Looking forward to harvesting!

I really love it! I have been using for more than a year and we try to use every pot and they are really great! And kid love to see it growing!

You’re spending £200 or more on a plastic tray with water reservoir and light.
Oh, sorry, for £9 you can also get a three pack of seeds in some coco.
For £9 I could buy a full spectrum growing LED of twice the power. For £1 I could buy a tub or pot, and a tray to put under it as what they describe as “automatic watering”. Automatic watering uses a pump, not a passive reservoir.
Then for £5 more I could get 30L of coco/compost and 100 seeds.
So for £15 I could buy a product of far greater scale and superiority to this one.

This is pure lifestyle advertising, very standard of kickstarters. “We years RnD”… on what? This is nonsense, or you’ve spent five years designing a plastic tub and another five figuring out how to get morons to pay £200 for it.

If you want to be “connected with nature” - how about you get a pot, and some soil, and plant a plant like a human. Not like a robot who can’t get a little dirt on their fingers. This whole idea is a horribly sanitised version of the outdoors for us to enjoy, whilst we live in sterile 6’x4’ pods and are told we’re connecting with nature.

Jokes aside, seriously, you have to be truly hopeless to think £200 or more is a good price for this. For fun I 3D printed the identical product - I’ll try and link some pictures - literally identical save with a better light - and it cost me £15 soil and seeds included.

There is no advantage to their watering system, or doesn’t make anything easier - in fact there’s nothing TO make easier. Their reservoir is prone to mould as is any still water source. How about this? If you struggle to pour a bit of water over your plants every couple of days, DON’T TRY GARDENING - it’s not for you! And what’s more - don’t spend £200 on something you’re hopeless at!

Seriously, there’s nothing ideal about this product - the stuff this grows isn’t of better quality than the same plant being grown under the same light but using different soil and a regular pot. Don’t bother.

This is a perfect example of how lifestyle advertising traps people. They see the sleek design - the pictures of the happy lady elegantly picking herbs from here white, pure, automatic garden and think “Wow! I’ll be just like this lady if I buy this! I’ll have delicious stonebaked sourdough pizza every night and sprinkle a little basil on top before tucking it! I’ll have these lovely little plants growing in the corner in a sleek container” - this is how modern advertising works, and it’s VERY effective, especially on the stupid. Think of how the look of a sleek new iPhone appeals to you… think of how it makes you feel. That’s lifestyle advertising, that is a subconscious emotion decades of advertising companies perfecting their manipulative hooks tearing into the weak, spongy flesh of your brain have managed to create in you - something so powerful the very look of a sleek new product excites you and creates emotion.

If I advertised a sleek white plant pot same way as these people, I could get people to pay £200 on it. You know how I know? Because that’s exactly what these people have done. There’s nothing special or ideal about this - I’m a botanist, you will receive no benefits from using this over regular potting soil and any other full spectrum LED. In fact, a 40W LED with IR would provide better results, and potting compost/perilous with weekly dose of some fertiliser during the flowering stage would be better. Growing these plants in a regular pot by the window results in a better result in fact - I know because I tried it.

So, don’t be fooled. Don’t let that lifestyle advertising infect your brain and make you think this product will involve itself in your lifestyle - it won’t. It’s a plant pot. Nothing more. It won’t make your life better or your kitchen smell nice or yo ur wife prettier or your kids smarter, if you want to grow some herbs put a seed in a pot the way HUMANS have been doing for tens of thousands of years. If you can’t do that, I’m sorry to inform you you have failed as a human. The move from hunter gatherers to society was enabled by the innate human ability to plant a seed and water it. It’s gonna be easier pouring a glass of water on your herbs twice a week than scraping mould out a still water reservoir like the one in this anyway.

So buyer beware - this is a plant pot - and you are an idiot. Do not let them steal your money - go to Homebase and buy a plant pot for 50p and put it by the windowsill. You will have a lot more joy in your life once you stop allowing yourself to be taken advantage of by lifestyle advertising. I stopped falling for it - no longer do I fell a need or desire for stupid products, and I’m just as happy as you are, but with less. I accomplish the same things as you, but without heaps of plastic crap.

Don’t buy this - if you do your tiny haemorrhaged sack of sponge you call a brain is to blame.
