I recently completed the "Digital MBA for Technology Leaders" programme at the CTO Academy and am absolutely delighted with the quality and added value that this programme offers.

The content of the programme is excellently structured and covers all important aspects of digital transformation and leadership. The modules offer in-depth insights into strategic thinking, innovation management and modern technologies that are directly applicable to practice.

At the time of me signing up for CTO Academy. I was in a Senior Leadership position managing multiple teams in various tech disciplines. I knew there were some gaps in my knowledge that I wanted to fill and decided that a CTO course would be the best course of action to take to best prepare me for the role. I had researched a few options and after meeting with Andrew one on one, made the call that CTO Academy was the right path for me. The course as well as all of the lecturers exceeded my expectations. The course not only taught me lessons that will help me to be successful in the future, it also affirmed my current knowledge giving me the confidence that I knew what I was doing in my day job. The community is also something that I didn’t expect when I first signed up. It’s daily that the community at CTO Academy are interacting with each other in Slack helping out with problems, job openings, or celebrating wins. This to me sets this group apart from others and ultimately will lead to high impact in members careers and day to day lives. Excellent community and continuously improving content.

Everything you need as an IC who worked they way up to a CTO role in a start-up. As the course tries to cater to all CTO-s, there's some parts of the content that's not going to be very relevant or useful to an individual, but it differs between individuals what they find most useful. The content and membership offering is continuously improving which is another bonus. A definite perk is life-time access to the material - there's a lot of it and being able to circle back later is useful.

A true highlight of CTOA is the community of tech leaders sharing their experience.

Truly inspiring. I had become CTO only a few months before taking this course, so I was probably a perfect candidate. I liked the video based learning and each lesson was backed by plentiful amounts of resources, links and materials to do further learning. I took part in engaging with those on the Slack channel and did a few online meetings but I wish I could’ve attended more, but work and family life got in the way. The CTOA are excellent, honourable, humble and approachable. When you launch Chairman Academy let me know ;-)

A very well designed and practical approach to the Digital MBA program by CTO Academy. Something that is more relatable and closer to the real world to consume and assimilate in the form of learning. I would recommend this course to any technology leaders that are interested especially considering we can do it at our own pace during our busy work life and the content is always available even when updated.

It is also a very affordable program compared to the larger MBA degree programs while giving very useful learning on the go for interested and emerging leaders.

I recently finished the Digital MBA for Tech Leaders at CTO Academy, and it was amazing! What makes it really special is the community aspect. They offer monthly sessions and workshops that are super useful. So the learning carries on after graduation!

The course materials were spot on and easy to follow. I could learn at my own pace, which was mostly early in the morning for me. It was a great way to start my day. I started the CTO Academy Digital MBA Course in March 23, and since then have had a great experience.

I'm fairly early in my Tech Leadership career, and would personally describe the course as a mix of the following (in roughly equal measures):
- Lots of useful learnings about concepts I've no experience (budgets, investments, lowcode/nocode, outsourcing, board relations, CIO vs CTO, legal, compliance)
- A good amount of confirmation that I've got the right ideas (delivering successful projects, managing stakeholders, performance management of staff, influence)
- Anecdotal stories which allow you to recognise similarities in your own organisation/approach, and learn from and hear how they tackled the task

Another really useful aspect of the course is the community it provides. Having other Tech Leaders in a Slack group, and with really great monthly engagement in the Zoom calls opens up a whole host of opportunities to network, bounce ideas, and even get some support/feedback from unbiased peers.

Being able to suggest ideas, or start new initiatives with the backing of "Other CTOs have done something similar, and noticed X" or "On the CTO Academy they spoke about how Y can help to achieve Z" can really help give your ideas some accreditation, and even just help you feel more confident in your approach.

For a bit of background, I've been working as part of a growing company, mucking in with customers, management, and leadership for the past few years, just recently promoted to Software Engineering Manager reporting to our CTO. I've managed several teams of varying sizes (2-6) and have around 6 years of line manager experience. People with more experience may find that it's more confirmation, and people with less experience may learn more from the course. But, everyone will learn something, and there's a lot to get from the community that's been built.

I highly recommend CTO Academy to anyone looking to develop their leadership skills.
