Over the past few years, I embarked on a journey to seek out the perfect combination of an MBA program and C-Suite leadership training that align with my career goals. After conducting thorough research, I found the ideal fit and enrolled in the CTO Academy's Digital MBA for Technology Leaders in early November 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting new phase. Managing my professional obligations, personal life, and the demands of the program over a period of 10 months, I am delighted to announce that I have successfully completed the program and obtained my MBA.

What particularly impressed me was the comprehensive offering provided by CTO Academy in comparison to a traditional 2-year MBA program. The benefits of CTO Academy’s Digital MBA for Technology Leaders include a complete set of Tech Modules facilitated by Global Technology leaders, Expert Q&A Roundtables, Leadership Workshops, CTO Shadowing, Peer-to-Peer Debates, and Best Practice and Case Study Discussions. Additionally, CTO Academy provides access to a Global Community of Tech Leaders and offers lifetime access to all course materials for future review. Their well-organized approach and attention to detail made the experience truly valuable.

On demand platform offered flexibility, while the peer-to-peer sessions brought community and a chance to learn from others in similar positions. Most of the leadership topics are universal best practices which can apply to any industry. Well done.

I signed up with CTO Academy a few years ago for their CTO course, and I finally got around to doing it this week. I've learned a lot. There's plenty of video and podcast content, plus follow up additional materials. Some of the content you'll know from the roles you've done in industry, as you work your way up to being a CTO. Some of it, you won't know, whether it's commercial contracting handling or negotiating skills or expenditures, and it's all helpful in identifying your blind spots and where you next to go in your professional development

I recently completed the digital MBA course run by CTO Academy, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The breadth and depth of the course were truly outstanding and directly applicable to my role as a CTO. Not only did I gain an immense amount of knowledge, but I also appreciated how the lectures were delivered in a clear, engaging manner by a diverse set of experts, each bringing their own unique skills to the table.

One of the standout aspects for me was the way the course helped broaden my perspective on the role. It enabled me to revisit and reaffirm areas I was confident in, while also providing invaluable insights into things I didn’t even know I needed to know. It’s been a transformative experience from both angles.

The structure of the course was logical and methodical, with modules naturally building on each other. It was very relevant to what I was working on in my role, which made it incredibly practical. The fact that I did this alongside CTO Academy’s membership package also added another layer of value, offering the chance to connect with other students, share experiences, and benefit from a strong sense of community.

The support from the CTO Academy team was exceptional. Jason, Andrew, and the wider team really go above and beyond to make you feel like they’re with you every step of the way, and their personal approach made a big difference.

Additionally, the networking opportunities provided were fantastic, including both remote and face-to-face chances to meet other tech leaders from various industries. This not only helped me expand my network but also gave me insight into how others are leveraging different technologies.

Overall, this course represents outstanding value for money. The level of thought, attention, and expertise that went into every aspect of the program is evident. The calibre of the lecturers is superb, and I can’t recommend the CTO Academy enough for anyone looking to take their leadership and technical skills to the next level.

It was an amazing journey, full of rich learning experiences and deeply valued and inspiring insights. Very impressed by the whole team.

Great course. It enhanced my skills.

Great content

CTO Academy crossed my path almost a year ago, and it's been a fantastic journey. Being a seasoned Technology Executive, I was looking for ways to reinforce the breadth of skills and savvy that are a constant part my role. We all have this gut sense that some areas in us feel like “the floor might be a little creaky under there”, and seek a way to shore it up.

I looked at well-known programs like MIT and Wharton, but jumped onboard with CTO Academy instead. The content has breadth of topics, using micro-lectures and tons of reference materials, but even more importantly, the team (especially CEO Andrew and CTO Jason) were quite accessible in advance, helping me feel like this would be a great community to become involved in.

And boy is it! This global vibrant community has top-notch, high-level Tech Leaders, alongside up-and-coming new leaders thirsty for mentoring, and it has become a daily catalyst in my life. I’ve formed many exciting new friendships, with great peers to bounce ideas and best practices with. Working through the content itself has also been a wonderful experience, with stellar speakers that you end up wanting to get to know better, who spark new ideas in you by the way they think. There are continuous weekly live sessions, even beyond the MBA course, with those same (and more) fabulous speakers.

For strong, experienced Technology Leaders like me, even in areas that “I already know”, CTOA and its community help me refresh and renew my own knowledge, giving me new ways of looking at things, and that carries throughout my day. They encourage and provide a platform for aspiring new leaders to reach for the stars, and that’s fulfilling to be a part of.

I’m excited to be a great “fan and friend of CTO Academy” in many ways going forward.

Completing the "Digital MBA for Technology Leaders" from CTO Academy has been a transformative experience. What a great course and learning experience! It had been a few years since I had focussed on my own development and was looking for a course which would allow me to refresh on some core skills but also learn new skills as a tech leader. I found the Digital MBA for Technology Leaders course really well-structured and engaging. The big positive for me was that I was able to fit the lectures round my work commitments, the lectures are relatively short and well delivered and there are lots of good additional materials to read up on as needed. The CTO Academy have a great team on hand to provide support and there is also an active slack community where members can interact with their peers and the Academy team.

What an awesome educational experience! I earned my Digital MBA on a fast-track and within a year! CTO Academy approach to training was very effective, and the expertise in the subject matter was evident. The instructors were able to explain complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand, and encouraged participation, which made the sessions interactive and content easy to absorb.

At the time of me signing up for CTO Academy. I was in a Senior Leadership position managing multiple teams in various tech disciplines. I knew there were some gaps in my knowledge that I wanted to fill and decided that a CTO course would be the best course of action to take to best prepare me for the role. I had researched a few options and after meeting with Andrew one on one, made the call that CTO Academy was the right path for me. The course as well as all of the lecturers exceeded my expectations. The course not only taught me lessons that will help me to be successful in the future, it also affirmed my current knowledge giving me the confidence that I knew what I was doing in my day job. The community is also something that I didn’t expect when I first signed up. It’s daily that the community at CTO Academy are interacting with each other in Slack helping out with problems, job openings, or celebrating wins. Excellent community and continuously improving content.

Everything you need as an IC who worked they way up to a CTO role in a start-up. As the course tries to cater to all CTO-s, there's some parts of the content that's not going to be very relevant or useful to an individual, but it differs between individuals what they find most useful. The content and membership offering is continuously improving which is another bonus. A definite perk is life-time access to the material - there's a lot of it and being able to circle back later is useful.

A true highlight of CTOA is the community of tech leaders sharing their experience.

Truly inspiring. I had become CTO only a few months before taking this course, so I was probably a perfect candidate. I liked the video based learning and each lesson was backed by plentiful amounts of resources, links and materials to do further learning. I took part in engaging with those on the Slack channel and did a few online meetings but I wish I could’ve attended more, but work and family life got in the way. The CTOA are excellent, honourable, humble and approachable. When you launch Chairman Academy let me know ;-)

A very well designed and practical approach to the Digital MBA program by CTO Academy. Something that is more relatable and closer to the real world to consume and assimilate in the form of learning. I would recommend this course to any technology leaders that are interested especially considering we can do it at our own pace during our busy work life and the content is always available even when updated.

It is also a very affordable program compared to the larger MBA degree programs while giving very useful learning on the go for interested and emerging leaders.
