Great return service

I ordered 2 polo shirts. Both had extremely long bodies. I exchanged, sending them back via UPS. I received my new shirts in 5 days and didn't have to pay shipping in either direction. Very pleased with the service!

I ordered a COVID mask with a DXL tag


Ok I ordered a COVID mask with a DXL tag printed and sewn to the top left exterior side of the mask. Upon receiving the mask, i was immediately disappointed in receiving a standard sized mask. Designation XL , A company that caters to the Big & Tall population, sells a standard size mask with DXL tag. This deception, and refusal to refund product and shipping ( equal to cost of product ) , does not reflect well with DXL and their customer relations. No, do not expect a refund for COVID products, if I were ordering from Short & Small, DXL mask are not for Big & Tall.
Part 2 - DXL’s response was to contact their customer service with order number. DXL suggested that they would be of assistance. “To no Avail”, customer service would not refund a COVID product. I can understand not refunding a COVID product, but when a product is misrepresented with DXL embossed on the front the mask “Designation Extra Large”. Yes, DXL has adjustable straps, and dimensions mentioned...but why would DXL peddle a small to average size mask to a Big & Tall demographics ? Usually, a man’s head is proportional to his body. If DXL were in touch with their demographics, they would know that the average mask ( which is what DXL peddles) is not effective as a barrier against COVID 19. DXL, why would a man shop at your store or a DXL site, if would didn’t have larger measurements ? Even the 7-Eleven sells mask for the average man. For all that read, please don’t fall and be a victim to purchasing a mask for $10 and shipping of $10 additional dollars,

Excellent - I don’t shop anywhere else.

I’m very surprise by all the bad reviews. I live in Australia and have been buying through the DXL for at least 10 years and I have never had a problem. Some items come separately and I assume that is because they are either not in their warehouse at the time or they come directly from the supplier. No big deal and I don’t get charged extra freight. If I need to make a return it’s usually no questions asked and the return is free via a Courier that collects it from my house so there are no hassles. Frankly I buy almost all my clothes through them because I can’t get the variety, style and quality here and when you’re a big bloke there’s nothing worse than wearing uncomfortable clothing. Pricing is also reasonable and sale pricing is also good. The only time I use customer service is via email and it seems efficient. Wow, I sound like a plant but I’m just a regular Joe.

worst shopping experience ever!

Placed 2 order on 8 & 11 June, after THREE weeks they are still in process. I m not sure will they in process forever or just the another fraudulent activity case. Email them and they and million reasons for the delay.
Go shop with them if you don't expected your order would arrived!

DXL Doesn't Listen

DXL suffers from something that isn't that unique in the world of retail. They don't listen. It's not just that they don't listen to their customers. There is a history of employees not being heard as well. Most of those employees have ended up leaving. So assume "they" isn't the entire corporation. Imagine that there are people trying to do the best for the customer, and that decisions are made that might as well be considered shooting oneself in the foot. The reviews here are just a few examples of struggles going on and these are scenarios that were foreseen.

It's easy to blame COVID for how things are going, but that has just made a difficult situation worse. If there aren't enough complaints or they aren't "loud" enough, they can be minimized. DXL will either wait for an "expert" to tell them what their own employees say, or they'll wait for customers to make enough noise about the very same things or the problems they create. It's much easier to find new employees, even with a bad reputation, but if you think you can be that lucky with your customers, you have the wrong priorities. You exist because of the customers. Listen.

By the way, stop assuming all of your customers have the same needs, that you can cater to the majority, and that you should keep copying ideas from others as if they don't make mistakes.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

So I placed an order with them about 2 weeks ago of 5 shirts that were on sale online and they were ALL IN STOCK in my size. Instead of shipping all of them at one time I only recieved one shirt.

Then I get an email on the June 24 saying that another one of my shirts was shipped out and arriving on Friday June 26th even got a tracking number. Needless to say the shirt NEVER ARRIVED and then about 4am this morning I received another email saying that my order was cancelled due to availability which is BS because I actually went back to the website and every shirt I ordered was available and in my size.

The email then goes on to say I won't be charged which is ANOTHER LIE cause I checked my bank account and was charged for the shirt that was SUPPOSED TO COME ON JUNE 26TH.

Tried the chat function on their website only to find that its closed on Friday and Saturday. Tried calling customer service multiple times and was on hold for over 30 minutes or was just completely disconnected from the phone service. I even emailed customer service and still have not heard back from them.

I'm beyond FRUSTRATED with the LACK OF SERVICE.

No Notification of canceled order

I purchased five shirts from them. Received two separate shipments of a shirt each and then waited three weeks for the other shirts. Check their site to find out the orders were canceled. Looking at these reviews it looks like this company finds it beneath them to let customers know when they cancel orders. That's just bad customer service any way you look at it.

The worst place to order from Had the worst experience with ordering in this site . Never had my items after I purchased it from. Them online. Call customer service 2 times and they lie and said they did not carry the items and they still had. The items online for sale. They give you the run around . This store should shut down . Worst Experience EVER

This has been the most frustrating, time consuming experience I’ve ever had spending my money with a merchant EVER! I ordered a pair of True Religion shorts from DXL (which were on sale) and it had ONLY 1 LEFT next to the price. I hurried and placed my order and afterwards when I checked it said SOLD OUT which made me believe I’d gotten the last pair. It’s been a week and I’ve yet to hear from DXL, so when I check status, it shows BACKORDER. Ordinarily that would be fine, but since the item was clearance and only one pair was left, THIS SOUNDS LIKE BS! I’ve always heard the stories and was apprehensive about ordering with them and now I know firsthand I don’t ever have to waste time and money with DXL again! Start updating your site real time and people will know what they’re dealing with. Sad and ridiculous!

I placed a order For my father for Father’s Day took almost 2 weeks to get here and now my package is not here . It says it was delivered but did not received it . Now I have to wait till the 22nd to see if it will be delivered smh I never did online shopping here I would go to my local store but due to covid 19 it was closed never had a problem with them. Will never do online shopping here. I call but they don’t answer my calls .

Clothing quality

While it's true prices are on the high side, there are always coupons and discounts you can find that make the pricing agreeable. I have always had a decent while not great experience. If I had one gripe is the quality of the material of the socks and shirts. Socks tend to get holes rather quickly, more so than any other socks I have bought. So while I like how they feel, the relationship quickly deteriorates, which is disappointing. And I imagine if it can't be fixed, I will have to search else where at some point. The other is the shirts. I usually buy the GS shirts that I have found to work for me. And I would say about 80% of the time the shirt doesn't actually tear, but when it does it is disappointing because you'd hope that they could last more than just a year.

Anyhow, I hope that DXL's issues with other customers regarding sizing and shipments, etc. is resolved and is just fluky with the current economics we're experiencing in 2020. I also hope they find this to be constructive criticism because I do like shopping with them.

I would say to the fat tax analogy. It might behoove all of us big people to just figure out how to just eat 2,000 cals a days going forward, if that is something that can work for you. Then we'd have more options than just DXL.

ordered a pair of polo pants two weeks ago never received any email of shipping status.called several times in three day to stay on hold never spoke to anyone.Finally went to website and found customer service chat.Gave them my order number and they told me that they were out of stock and they cancelled my order?!?Like if I would have not contacted them how long would I have waited to find out 3weeks!...then I called today and finally got thru cause my card got charged again for the same item (That they don't have)And the customer service rep was like yeah it would take 3-5 days to get my money back no apology no nothing! After the call I get 6 emails saying my ordered is cancelled This was my first time TRYING to buy something from dxl worst experience I have EVER had by far
