I ordered some sandals for my husband's birthday but they were too small, so I returned them with a request for another size. That was 2 months ago. I have proof that they got them. I can't get ahold of anyone. The email address is bogus, chat never works. I did get to chat with someone who told me that they would contact me with in 48 hours, that didn't happen. They are not fake With their attitudes about taking care of my needs-and always cater to my requests..very genuine and nice. I love polo and at times found myself going to the polo outlet in Simpsonville however even the outlet didnât have what I wanted in its big and tall dxl always has a better selection. DXL online is even better and just as an example I love lucky brand jeans now after years of buying crap wrangler or other store big and tall dark blue 1980âs dungaree knockoffs that are so heavy and stiff and out of style itâs embarrassing to wear! Not my DXL lucky brand jeans ...every color in my size. Iâm just like some here Iâm 6â5 & weighted 436 pounds but I went on keto & have shed almost a hundred pounds and needed a new wardrobe ...DXL was there for me. Beautiful suits, awesome rock shirts ..but hey if all you can afford is the Walmart fat section then this is not for you. There is an old saying â clothes make the manâ and first impressions are important but there is a lot of crying about prices... Iâll drop $100 on a pair of lucky jeans or a polo shirt cause thatâs my level...if your not at that level then go buy cheap junk that looks, feels, and wears like crap that shrinks three size or all the threading falls apart on the arms(aka I bought a 3xl shirt from Walmart in a pinch for work..washed it once and had to throw it in the garbage $39.99 wasted) conversely I have a black long sleeve shirt I bought from dxl when they were casual male out by the old Jeff mall 30 years ago!!!! DXL is the worst.I spent about 3 hours picking out clothes (1 hour per order). I placed 3 orders within the last 2 weeks.
They took the order,confirmed the order and charged my credit card/withdrew the funds from my account. Then days later canceled all 3 orders stating that NONE of the items I ordered are in stock???? Mind you I ordered about 30-40 Items in total. They bombard you with emails and sales yet do not have any of the items in stock??? I have not had this happen with any other company online orders during the pandemic.
Unsubscribe to the emails or put them to spam. DXL get your inventory methods together or get offline.

Clothing NOT true to size, Unrealistic narrow cuts
Clothing NOT true to size and DXL are getting SCAMMED by foreign manufacturers. I am 6' tall and run between a 2XL and 3XL True Size. I purchased NUMEROUS packs and individual underwear through DXL (Levis, Underarmor, Reebok and etc.) throughout the year. Today I received Levis underwear (5XL and 6XL). Other than the waistband itself, they are the EXACT same size. Lo and Behold... EXTREAMLY tight and uncomfortable in seat, big and Billowing in waistband. I compared them to my 3XL pair from 2010. The 2010 pair are REALISTICALLY cut and are wider in seat and legs than 2020 6XL. They are CUTTING cost by manufacturing these under wear straight and V-Shaped in the seat. Yeah... not comfortable at all! All of this just to save money on fabric intentionally sewed on unrealistic molds in 3rd world countries. We can all agree that most of us consumers shopping with DXL and WestPort are willing to pay a lot extra for premium quality clothing. I dont believe it's a good idea to LIE to or take financial advantage of Mid/Upper Middle class consumer targets. Selling expensive premium quality product, then giving us cheap crap manufactured in Sweat Shops! I would like to give DXL 5 stars to the customer service reps. They are very kind and courteous and are easy to work with. These products are 'One Size Fits All' other than a few tweaks. Would this company please explain why you are doing this? Thank You!

Deceptive, Dishonest advertising
I am very disappointed in this company. I used to shop at Casual Male until they became DXL. I find that DXL uses deceptive, misleading and dishonest advertising. I received promotional mailings that I can not use and when I went to store recently there were huge signs on the front saying sale 50% OFF. Upon entering the store I found that NOTHING was on sale - except the old styles that didn't sell on the 'cut out' rack in a small room in the back of the store near the bathrooms.
I resent the fact that your company treats the consumer as if they are stupid enough to fall for your false advertising.
Why can't you just be honest??
I will find somewhere else to shop.

Not Good
The clothing is marked up too high. The website does not work good and is not user friendly. They donât honor their own promo codes. I could not get site to send interested items to the store to avoid shipping charges. At the store, staff acts disinterestedly pre occupied. Just because Iâm tall does not mean I have to shop at this below par company so, I wonât.

I was in town and stopped in to get a few items from the Saint Augustine DXL location. While I normally have good experiences, this visit was substandard. The associate seemed as though he was too tired to help and preoccupied on his cell phone. I can understand that it wasn't extremely busy and I didn't wish to purchase much but I expected better customer service.

Destination XL: charging a "fat tax" and selling crap
Destination XL is cashing in on a weird consumer anomaly: a market of tens of millions of Americans that other companies simply don't want to serve, i.e., fat people like me.
I'm 6'1", 360lbs, so I'm fat. I don't like being fat, I hope I can succeed at losing weight, but right now, I'm fat. For a while, there were a lot of places I could shop for clothes, like Amazon, Old Navy, and even the Big and Tall sections of some of the cheap department stores, like Walmart. Not anymore. When you hit waist size 54 or shirt size 4x, you can't buy much in normal stores.
Destination XL fills that vacuumânot quite alone, but almost.
And they act like the near monopoly they are.
They charge way more than I'd pay for comparable clothes at Old Navy, say. Probably at least 100% more, and often 200+% more.
But the quality of the textiles is substantially lower, and let's face it: Old Navy's sweatshop clothes are not exactly high quality. Even so, they run circles around Destination XL products.
I have many polo shirts from DXL in which the button holes stretched so badly after 2-3 uses and washes that the buttons won't stay buttoned for more than a few seconds. I have pants from DXL that have worn through or rippedânot where my weight sits, but in weird places like near (but not on) the seam halfway down the side of the leg. The fabric simply wears so thin that holes appear. Another pair of khakis tore when my cell phone in the pocket caught on a chair arm. I have to imagine that I've done that hundreds of times before without tearing a 5" hole in the side of the pants. I like DXL boxer briefs, but within a couple months, the elastic bands on most of my 8 pairs separates from the rest of the briefs. Like any dude, I wear underwear until they dissolve into three threads or until they can walk where they need to go on their own. But I end up throwing away DXL underwear every 6 months so because I don't have any garter belts, and I'd need some to reconnect the elastic band to the rest of the briefs. There are many more quality issues, and all of them show up less than 2 years after purchaseâmany of them less than 1 year.
So, in a nutshell, DXL essentially charges a fat tax by overpricing their goods. Then they triple their profits by selling substandard textiles to consumers who have limited shopping options.
If someone has money to start a business, you could compete with DXL by undercutting their prices and selling a better product, and you'd still make millions.
I've found some other stores that, for now, have some of the clothes I need in my size, so I won't shop at DXL any more. Meanwhile, I'll keep working at losing weight...
UPDATE: DXL customer service replied to me quickly with the message you see below. I emailed, as they invited me to do, but my email bounced back as âundeliverableâ because their email box has too many messages in it, apparently. Took off 1 star for that.

Ordered belts online and received email for purchase receipt in timely manner but never received shipping email. Had to take it upon myself to contact customer service via chat only to be told item no longer in stock and the size I ordered was no longer produced.(46/48) Which , by the way was listed as an option in choice and did not indicate as such.
Disappointed I wonât be getting items purchased but it would have been nice to have known there were limited /low quantities available BEFORE I purchased. Also, they should have contacted me to inform me instead of me having to contact them. Offered gift card for future purchase but declined since there were too many issues that if it werenât for me taking the initiative to inquire... I wouldnât have been aware of or made aware of till much later. Sorry DXL, I had high hopes but you dropptthe ball

Horrible customer service, bad promises
Horrible customer service and bad promises. Avoid this company. Do not trust them. After three weeks (Jan 2) finally got the shirts and pants, even though they promised next day delivery for everything except pants. Pants, they said, would take 2-3 more days since they came from another location. All products were promised way before Christmas. Over $500 of merchandise. They do not care about customers, and take them for granted. Also avoid Big and Tall locations, since when you locate them, you end up on the DXL website once again. Catch 22. Finally one rep, Dani, got it straightened out since finance held it up without any client notification. You know a company is not good when the bean counters run amok without caring about paying customers.

I shop there so much I was invited to the Grand opening g of the Las Vegas store.
I walked onto the store today and two emp,yees were havi g a conversation NEITHER of them welcomed me into the store. The guy walked into the back of the store while the female went on the fold shirts. I walked around the entire store I even made eye contact with her and still she never once said a word to me. While I stood near the Reebok collection a couple walked in a d at that point she gave them a warm welcome and even offered to help them. I was immediately disappointed I made the comment " I guess I wasn't worth a welcome e into the store" I ask her her name ( cymone)
And the store number and walked out.
I refuse to spend my hard earned money where I'm not treated fairly or respected..

Ruined Christmas
I ordered over $700 worth of clothing for Christmas after receiving an email saying that if I ordered that day I would have everything by the 21st. My husband is between sizes so I placed multiple orders using the coupon knowing that if 1 order fit, another would be returned or exchanged. I also placed an order for my MIL and SIL and planned to have it all shipped to my house so I could wrap it for them.
6 orders.
After a few days I received the first shirt and I logged on to check tracking because I was so excited for the rest. There was a notation to call customer service. I did and they said they needed to verify my address because there were multiple orders to one address to make sure it is not fraud. Ok and actually, Thank you! The rep said it was all good and even said she would 2 day everything to make sure we got it in time!!
The next day, it still had not shipped so I called again. This time I was told that because I used the coupon multiple times that they were not shipping my order. Fine, I get that I could not use the coupon twice, my bad for not reading the small print although since then there have been 2 other codes for 30 off 100 so its a bit lame since I could reorder with those coupons.
My problem is that I received NO communication saying they randomly chose 2 orders and were refusing to send them. I received nothing saying that my order would not ship in time (or at all) Additionally, while they decided not to ship my order, they most certainly did not decide to refund my money until I called and asked to speak to 2 supervisors. Even then, I was told it will be an additional week until my money is returned. So, they decide to not provide my items and also not to give me back my money until I demanded it and all without a single attempt at communication. I assume they were hoping I would not notice my items never arrived and would not have to provide the refund. I am extremely wary of this type of fraudulent behavior and am now DONE with all companies under this umbrella, especially after watching my 9 year old cry when I told her that the company refused to send the "best dad in the Galaxy" shirt that she picked out for her Dad's Christmas Eve present.
Update: They responded saying that they reached out but in fact they did not.
