Im with doddle for my 1st years private hire insurance. I can honestly say these are the best insurance company i have used for motor vehicles/motor bikes in at least 15 years, ive delt with both Liam and Enzo on the phone and have spoke to both of them twice each about one thing or another. They are straight to the point, very informative, very helpful but most of all, for me speak fluent UNbroken english, i am totally fed up with, insurance companys, banks, tech company's either employing NON fluent english speakers AND/OR subcontracting the call centres to india, i know this happens as my wife works for a leading UK bank!!!!! I fell like i have to speak ridiculously slow, using pure grammar english and STILL use the phonetic alphabet just to SAY my name!!!!! I can confirm i have HAD NON OF THESE ISSUES WITH DODDLE, just a "brummie" talking to someone with a "southerner" SIMPLE. i CANNOT fault Liam or Enzo one bit!!!!! On renewal, even if doddle cover are a few hundred quid more expensive than the next taxi insurance company i will 100% stay with doddle because of there customer services, english call centre and great App portal.....

From initial set up of taking the policy out seem good, toom no more than an hour and told its all set up and ready to go and I don't need to do any more, this unfortunately was a lie, over a month later I recieved an email and text say a 7 day cancellation had been issued due to "lack of documentation" this was 2 days after taking a payment aswell, sent them the documentation and no reply for 6 days despite multiple emails, finally another email saying we need a picture of the front of your driving licence before 6pm to avoid canceling your policy, why not just ask for it the same time as everything else I don't know, but any way sent them the photo and guess what no reply or communication again and do not even know if the policy is cancelled or not, wish id never chosen them as an insurer, I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. If your looking for negligence, lies and incompetence then look no further than "Doddlecover", what a nightmare just left me in limbo.

The saga goes on
The saga goes on, moved to doddle two months ago. They asked for a lot of information. Things Iâve never been asked for before in all my 28 years of driving. Some kind of driving licence record. Sent this, then they want a photo of the licence, sent this, then they want proof of no claims. Sent this. Then itâs not good enough. Then I contacted the old insurers again and sent through what they sent including their email. Itâs not good enough. Then I copied all in and asked them to resolve it. Not good enough. Meanwhile my driving licence which Iâve had all my adult life is suddenly not good enough again. Then we go round in circles. Who knows if Iâve got cover or not? Who knows what the next saga from them is going to be. One thing is for certain, Iâve never been treated this way before. Not have I ever had any issue with car insurance, what are they treating me like this?

Rubbish, tangled up in complicated legal speak, a non-understanding, a completely non human outfit, awful contact, zero contact, do not bother, I explained that I have adhd, hence slow at paperwork etc, and got no support at all, Iâd rather walk than insure anything with them, and now still, they are pesting me for nearly £300 for a months insurance, bearing in mind they took £177 on the day they cancelled my policy!! All because I couldnât give my driving license number!! As I was awaiting my new license to come back from the dvla, a complete shit show, and Iâm not paying the apparent outstanding balance, as £472 for 4 weeks car insurance is a piss take

Issue getting looked into with Phone Call

I received a personal call yesterday to help resolve the situation from Michael, who seemed to care about getting my situation resolved and agreed this is completely unacceptable that im still waiting for a refund. I have been told that the refund will be done ASAP, i will wait for this.

I cancelled my Policy 30/3/26 was told by email the refund will take 14 days to go back.
ITS NOW 21 days and 15 WORKING DAYS since that time and yet still to get my refund. Not impressed and i would like my money back Now as i need to pay other insurance company. Called up 21/4/26 to find out what is happening then only to be told they now will chase the finance company to see wants going on. In the Mean time i now have to wait longer now which is Utter shambles.
