Het huren van de auto via Explore Namibia was eenvoudig. Miranda en collega's reageerden snel en dachten mee. Ook gaven zij advies en konden al onze vragen beantwoorden. Bij aankomst in Windhoek kregen wij een aanvullende map vol met informatie over Namibië (en Botswana), dit was ook zeker nuttig. Kortom, een auto huren via Explore Namibia raad ik zeker aan!

Wir waren im Januar 2025 für 2 Wochen in Namibia und haben mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen eine Rundreise gemacht. Über Explore Africa Travel haben wir unsere beiden Safari Autos gebucht. Wir können Explore Africa Travel absolut weiterempfehlen und sind sehr dankbar für die tolle Beratung, die unkomplizierte Buchung und den reibungslosen Ablauf aller Art. Wir konnten jederzeit via Mail oder auch telefonisch in Kontakt treten wenn wir noch Fragen hatten vor der Reise. Es lief alles so wie geplant wir wurden per Transfer vom Flughafen abgeholt und zu unseren Safari Autos gebracht. Dort haben wir eine komplette Einweisung der Autos bekommen und dann ging es auch schon los. Wir waren begeistert und mehr als zufrieden und würden Zukünftig immer wieder bei euch Buchen. Danke !!!

Out trip to Namibia was wonderful! Everything went well. Explore África Travel did a great job and Pierre was super kind and planned the trip to our wishes! Explore Namibia organized our self-drive trip through Botswana. Quite an adventure for us, but all was arranged very well and we had various Zoom sessions to finetune the arrangements and learn from their experiences and knowledge of the country. Making it the trip of our life!

One of the best travel agencies to help you plan your trip! Good suggestions, honest and very helpful in case something out of control happens (like flight cancellations). The cooperation with Asco car hire is a plus. Travelled several time with this agency and wil hopefully be able to do it lots of times in the future!

The tour was very good organised. The contact with the company was always friendly, very helpful and fast. The tour guide was very professional and his kwowledge about the nature was unbelievebal great. If I will visit Africa again, I'm sure this company will be my first choice again. Everything was great. I really enjoyed the whole trip. The lodges we stayed in, the people we met, the beautiful landscapes, the amazing animals and even the Toyota 4x4 was a pleasure. The fact that I can't remember anything negative says it all.

Our experience with Explorer Namibia, Explore African Travel and Silvia, who planned our trip was amazing. I knew right away that I had selected the right company when they sent me an app with all the details of our trip. It Included what sights to see, restaruants and detailed driving directions. The vehicle was in great shape and the tents they use were by far superior to others we witnessed on our adventure. The staff gave us a wonderful overview of the vehicle. Our setup time, literal was maybe 3 minutes. The sites and locations we spent the night were wonderful and gave us the advantage to see things earlier then those staying outside of the parks. We boooked our 14D13N self drive tour in Namibia through Explore Africa Travel and everything went smoothly throughout the trip. Helena was great and is quick in responding to our questions before we made our bookings. She was at the car rental company when we arrived and went through the itineraries with us. She also gave us a bottle of red wine for the trip.

The road trip planned by the company is great as we could see most of the major attractions in Namibia. Accommodation and campsites were also good, especially the one in Swakopmund.

They use Asco Car Hire for the vehicle, which I strongly recommend. Their vehicle is clean and new and the tires they used are very good.

Would definitely recommend people planning a road trip in Namibia to use them.

Onze onvergetelijke Namibië trip is perfect geregeld door Tamara en het team van Explore Africa Travel. De reis was volledig op maat gemaakt voor ons. Voor vertrek hadden wij fijn contact met Tamara voor al onze vragen. Niets was teveel. We kregen een uitgebreid overzicht en zelfs een app waarin de hele reis inclusief route, accommodaties en additionele informatie stond vermeld. Het 4x4 autoverhuurbedrijf liep als een geoliede machine. Uiterst professioneel met duidelijke uitleg. Ook werden we terplekke ontvangen door een dame van Explore Africa Travel. De reis was FANTASTISCH en we bevelen Explore Africa Travel aan iedereen aan.

Non è la ditta giusta. La mia recensione era per African Explorer in Italia. Mi scuso con il tour operator sbagliato

ASCO renting : The contract is full of restriction..speed is limited on gravel roads, you can not use the 4x4 mode above 65 km/h( so on gravel roads you are on 2 wheels) geofence for the skeleton coast you are not allowed to go there, vehicle is monitored online ( electronic black box like the mixtelematics system ) etc etc ..and nothing is mentioned when you get your quotation...you have all these restrictions when you signed your contract at the agency. You are warned that you will lost the insurance if you violated the rules and will be responsible etc etc ...not really the speech I was expecting the day I start my vacation and it give you a kind of stress ..The feeling is : if something goes wrong, I am screwed...You don't know the tolerance and the message look little bit scary.
People at the agency ( at the desk ) in windhoek look bored and doesn't look very happy.
Otherwise despite 160 000km on the engine, nothing wrong happen . Vehicle was on very good condition and my hilux was powerful. I came back with small marks here and there ( off road riding) on the hilux body , nothing serious and ASCO did not gave me hard time.

We had the pleasure of spending 21 days exploring the Okavango Delta with Explore Africa Travel. Our journey took us from Maun through Namibia, with a brief stop in Zimbabwe, and most of the time spent in Botswana. Everything was perfectly organized, and you could truly feel the passion and dedication of the team. The entire trip was simply perfect! A huge thank you to Clara for this unforgettable experience.

Our recent holiday to Namibia was nothing short of extraordinary! We embarked on an incredible adventure, exploring the rugged and stunning landscapes in a 4-wheel drive with a tent on the roof, which was both practical and exciting. The organization of the entire trip was flawless, thanks to **Explore Namibia**. From the very start, their detailed route planning and comprehensive documentation made navigating the remote beauty of Namibia a breeze. They also provided excellent suggestions on must-see sites, ensuring we didn’t miss a thing.

Voor de tweede keer stippelden we onze Namibië-Botswanareis uit met Explore Namibië. Opnieuw zijn we supertevreden. De hele reis werd in overleg samengesteld. Er werd correct advies gegeven, tips over reisroutes, … Je voelt in alles dat ze kennis van zaken hebben.
Er is telkens een heel vlot en snel contact en alles is tot in de puntjes in orde.
Het onthaal in Windhoek is super. Alles wordt nogmaals grondig overlopen, je vertrekt echt voorbereid op pad.
Ook de samenwerking met Asco Car Hire is top!
Wij zijn alweer zeer tevreden en als we ooit nog eens deze landen bereizen, dan is het voor ons nu al duidelijk : terug met Explore Namibië!

Absolutely recommend Explore Namibia for car hire in Namibia. We hired a Hilux with rooftop tents for our visit and the truck, equipment and service were all excellent. From start to finish, we felt well looked after by Jasper, Abigail and the Asco team (thank you, Bruno) at pick-up/drop-off. Car hire included transfers to and from Windhoek Airport which took any worry out of finding the rental location. We were given a road map of Namibia and an Etosha map, plus lots of guidance on the truck and using the camping gear. The rental costs were very competitive too. We're planning another visit to this amazing country and would look no further than Explore. *****

Teimme kahden viikon unohtumattoman, noin 2000 kilometrin kiertomatkan Namibiassa: Windhoek - Sesriem - Swakopmund -Twyfelfontain - Etosha - Waterberg Plateau National Park - Windhoek. Vaikka matkanteko vuokratulla maastoautolla neljästään etukäteen jännitti, Explore Namibian tekemän huolellisen suunnitelman, etukäteisohjeiden, matkaa kuvaavan sovelluksen ja saamamme materiaalin pohjalta se sujui mukavan leppoisasti. Toyota Hilux -maastoauto oli vakaa ja helppo ajaa. Majoitukset olivat erinomaisia niin palveluiltaan kuin ympäristöiltään. Opastetut, etukäteen varatut retket eri retkikohteissa ylittivät etukäteisodotuksemme. Se, mitä oli nähnyt joskus Avara Luonto -ohjelmissa tv:ssä, oli silmiemme edessä. Henkeäsalpaavaa.
Ja erityiskiitokset vielä Johannekselle saamastamme avusta, kun yhdelle matkalaiselle matkan alussa ilmaantuneet terveysongelmat vaativat selvittelyä. Sujuvasti ja turvallisin mielin pääsimme jatkamaan matkamme.

- Erg nuttige reisbeschrijving.
- Goed onderhouden auto met alles aan boord wat je nodig hebt om erop uit te trekken.
- Prachtig land met vriendelijke inwoners.
- Aandachtspuntjes:
1) Als je in juli reist, wordt het 's nachts erg koud, dus neem voldoende warme kledij. Wij hadden zelf slaapzakken mee en die kwamen zeer goed van pas.
2) Namibië is zo groot als Frankrijk en Duitsland samen, waardoor je flink wat uren in de wagen doorbrengt. Al krijg je daarvoor prachtige natuur en de hele stoet zebra's, giraffen, olifanten, oryxen, gnoes, ... in de plaats.
