If you can avoid them as your insuranceâŠ
If you can avoid them as your insurance provided do. They are terrible at keeping records, as well as denied a medication insurance does cover, even with a prior authorization. the year before it was covered. The people on the phone tried to say my doctor lied and that would have been how it was approved before.... not true.
My Wife's Nearly Flirted With Blindness
My wife's nearly flirted with blindness. These assho*es Express Scripts could care less. She needs Xiidra for eye dryness. The pre-authorization hoop game is what they play to NOT want to pay! Jerks. Her issues have been ongoing ever since getting that moron Dr. Fauci vaccine (the J & J single vaccine), and coincidentally contracted the shingles into her left eye! Good thing we jumped on it at the emergency room. She'd be blind now. Health insurers fu*kers in this country.
Unreliable - Use Your Pharmacy
I have tried Express Scripts and the service is unacceptable. The Rx was not sent for 7 business days and is lost in the USPS system. It was all but impossible to reach anyone and when I did the only solution was to suggest an interim supply which I obtained from Walgreens at a cost of 35x the cost as insurance would not cover it. It was almost impossible to break through the Express Scripts automated customer service system and when I was finally successful the only suggestion was to wait for the mail.
Glad we no longer deal with Express Scripts
Express scripts on numerous occasions denied medication coverage due to no generic brand available. Two of them, no generics exist. Both doctors wrote on forms as to why the brand name was medically necessary, and the medication was still denied.
One medicine I had was temporarily useful. I was given 1 refill as an in case, but I never needed to fill it. Fast foward to the 60 days mark of not refilling and I get a letter from Express Scripts stating "We care about you and your health and well-being and we noticed you have not refilled medication 'x' even though you have one refill available.....", talk about a joke. They deny a brand medication because it isn't manufactured generic, but they 'care about me and my health and well being'?. Try pulling someone else's leg.
Trying to get different medications covered by express scripts was always a challenge.
We are now with a different company and so far no issues. All medications covered and with no copay and no rejection by insurance.
One good thing about them was their swift timing in shipping approved medications.
I ordered my freestyle Libre for 3âŠ
I ordered my freestyle Libre for 3 month supply and was confirmed a price, a few days later received a notice that it was shipped and my confirmed price was doubled. What a joke.
I am writing to express my horrible customer experience
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service experience I encountered. After a wait time of 48 minutes on hold, I was eventually connected with a representative who exhibited a lack of professionalism. Rather than actively listening to my concerns, the representative frequently interrupted me throughout our conversation, which compounded my frustration.
Awful- they are our contractedâŠ
Awful- they are our contracted insurance provider and will not fill a 90 day prescription because I only have gotten the 30 days from their backup Walgreens which costs us the same copay for a 30 or a 90. Then Walgreens as our back up 90 day will only fill a 30 day which for both is a violation of our benefits policy. Time to call a lawyer FIS HR is useless as they have not responded to my issue
They are a fraud
They are a fraud! Have been dealing with them for a week yet again to get my prescription filled. Never fails every single time they always have issues. This time apparently they claim that they filled a prescription back in November but it never arrived. They claim it did but it wasn't in the mailbox and they still have yet to provide the tracking number for me to verify it. They have never provided any notices of any prescriptions then or in the past being filled or delivered and I never know if it's been filled until I get it in the mailbox. I'm out of my prescription and insurance says they will help cover the replacement but then tells the local pharmacy they won't. Express Scripts refuses to provide a refund and I'm done with them. Should have checked the reviews. Never again! My advice, stay away!
FRAUD
FRAUD. Pre-approved a prescription for zero copay then debited nearly $1000 from my FSA without my permission.
I had a very disappointing experienceâŠ
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I ordered medication, but it never arrived. In a rush, I had to go to Walmart to get an emergency refill. Weeks later, I finally received a package, but it contained the wrong medication. When I called customer service to ask how to return it, I was told they do not accept returns. Now, Iâm stuck with 90 pills of medication I donât need and still donât have my prescribed medication.
Tomorrow, Iâll need to figure out how to resolve this issue caused by their incompetence.
To add to my frustration, I chose to try their service because my HR team mentioned I could save 30% on my refills. Since my medication costs $43 monthly, I thought the potential savings were worth it. However, I later realized that even if they had sent the correct medication, the savings would only be $5 over three monthsâfar from worth the hassle Iâve endured.
Express Scripts has been a nightmare toâŠ
Express Scripts has been a nightmare to deal with. They completely botched my order, and Iâve wasted over five hours going back and forth between chats and phone calls trying to fix their mistake. Despite being promised a refund, itâs been over three weeks, and I still havenât received anything.
To make matters worse, the customer service is not only incompetent but also rude. While their medication prices may be lower, the frustration and poor treatment simply arenât worth it. Iâd gladly pay more at a reliable pharmacy like CVS to get the service I deserve.
Also be mindful that when you ask to speak to a manager, that you do actually get a manager and not another rep pretending to be a manager, as is what happened with me.
Monopoly and abuse of power. Poor customer service.
They have a literal monopoly of our pharmacy service at work and they definitely capitalize on it by automatically sending your prescription even if you donât ask for it to be filled. They have bad customer service, very poor business practices.
worst company
I had loss my wallet while traveling. I need to update my member information on my account. THERE ARE NO EMAIL, AND I CALL THE SERVICE CENTER, after I gave they my name, birth date, and member number, they asked me to hold. After ten minutes, they asked me what is the reason of my call. I told them, they ask to HOLD. Another ten minutes, they came back and ask me the name, birth date, and member number again, also the reason of the call. I told them again, THAN THEY TOLD ME TO HOLD AGAIN. ONE MORE>, TEN MINUTES LATER, They came back and told me they CANNOT HELP, IT ISN'T BELONG TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They gave me a difference number to call??????????
They strive for absolute worst customerâŠ
They strive for absolute worst customer service and succeed. They keep no notes of previous phone calls so that every time you call you have to start over. I was given completely different stories of where my prescription processing was for every at least daily phone call. Using express scripts is a full time job.very strongly do not recommend if you have any other option.
Customer Service Nightmare
I just tried to call to ask about a prior authorization. Waited on hold for about ten minutes, a woman came on the line and said âIâm tired of getting these damn calls, manâ and disconnected. This is regarding medication people need⊠what in the WORLD?
I thought that it was a scam
I thought that it was a scam. I got a letter recommending that they contact my doctor for a 90 day supply for a med that I don't even use. They also recommended Walgreens but Aetna insists on customers using CVS. It's creepy that they have so much of my private information
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. After a year of taking a medication Express scripts stopped covering the medication. My doctor contacted them and advised why it was medically necessary to continue on said medication and they denied the authorization. My doctor reached out to ask why and they said to appeal and provide specific information...my doctor did this 8 TIMES and they still denied. At every denial customer service said, "this is what you need" and yet they continued to deny each time with a different reason. I called them myself, spoke to a supervisor and explained they literally had all the information they were requesting and was told they refuse to review a past authorization because they don't have time. The experience has been a nightmare and I have zero respect for this company whatsoever.
One word....HORRIBLE!
Horrible and uncaring Customer service policies
Prescription lost in the mail and their solution was to refill in 7-10 days AND I pay the copay again. Explanation, âitâs our policy.â After 90 minutes and speaking wit 2 supervisors they authorized 7 pills at the local pharmacy.providing I get my dr to do a prescription. Unacceptable and uncaring. I hope my Medicare Part D company drops these guys for 2025.
A nightmare of miscommunication and inefficiency
I'm writing this review to share my incredibly frustrating experience with Accredo and Express Scripts. These companies seem to exist in a parallel universe, completely unable to communicate or coordinate with each other.
One of the most infuriating issues I encountered was Accredo's creation of an alternate account for my prescriptions without my knowledge or consent. This account was inaccessible to anyone unless I escalated the problem, a process that was required for every single refill. It's as if these companies were intentionally trying to make things as difficult as possible.
The employees at both Express Scripts and Accredo consistently demonstrated a lack of knowledge about their own jobs. When I called to refill my prescriptions, I was repeatedly told that my doctor had canceled the refill, only to later discover that the pharmacy had actually canceled it due to a missing prior authorization. Even more frustrating, some Express Scripts employees were able to find the prior authorization, while others couldn't, leading to endless confusion and frustration.
Dealing with these companies has been a significant time-consuming ordeal. I've spent hours on the phone, often having to take days off of work just to resolve simple prescription issues. Express Scripts' sudden requirement for prior authorizations for every refill has turned what should be a routine process into a nightmare.
Thankfully, my doctor's office has found an alternative way to fill my prescriptions without involving Accredo or Express Scripts. I sincerely hope that others can avoid the same level of frustration and inconvenience that I've experienced
