Have had no issues at all with Chip in the last couple of years and have only closed my account due to more competitive interest rates elsewhere. Customer service to close account has been very good (you can't close automatically via the app and have to use a combination of chat bot and human chat/ email).

Chip started out rather well with good…
Chip started out rather well with good interest rates, then they all started to fall away. I'm now reaching the end of the road with Chip because i no longer hold any ISAs or Cash Savings with them. Their prize saving account is also rubbish - £10 earned on a £7000 balance. Terrible.
The final straw for me was the delayed sale of an ETF - at the time of me selling it was 7% up, by the time it processed it was 5% down so instead of taking a gain, i ended up with a loss. To make matters worse, it has taken 6 calendar days and counting to fully complete the transaction and get the funds back to my linked current account. 6 days ! Why the huge delay ?
The only reason i stay & havent deleted the App is because i'm waiting my gold EFT investment to recover to break even levels. My best advice to anyone is to forget this useless Fintech company and go with Zopa, where the transactions are much faster & the rates are actually worth the hassle.

We also appreciate how upsetting the ETF sale experience must have been. Investment orders are not executed instantly and can be affected by market movements during the processing window, but we recognise that the timing and the delay in receiving your withdrawn funds clearly fell below your expectations. Transfers from investment accounts can take several working days depending on settlement times and banking processes, though we understand six days feels far too long when you’re waiting on your money.
Your feedback on Prize Savings, transaction speed and overall value is genuinely appreciated and will be shared with the relevant teams.

Poor Transfer Process
For many years a happy customer and investor.
But recently i have been consolidating my stocks isas on to another platform (not chip).
Transfering 3 isas into the other platform from 3 providers.
2 have gone through very well.
Chip however and my account balance is zero and i have been waiting almost 2 weeks now for the money to transfer. I have contacted chip and have been informed it takes 7 working days.
Chips 7 working days seem to be like 7 Cornish miles.
Be carefull if yoy want to transfer out, not a good process.
