We are Homemade Homes the experienced property sales team within Accent Housing. Homemade Homes by Accent is a brand name for the sale of homes owned by Accent Housing Limited and Accent Homemade Limited.
We specialise in Shared Ownership, another way to buy your home. You buy a percentage and pay rent on the rest. We own just part of it – but you’re living there, you decorate it and decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and a smaller mortgage. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can carry on buying further shares to own it 100%.
Buying a share means you need a lower mortgage and deposit than purchasing a property outright. This makes it a cost-effective way to own your own home and ideal for first-time buyers. Shared Ownership usually works out less per month than renting privately.
We want to be ‘with you for your journey’, whether that is helping you to take the first step onto the housing ladder or helping you search for a new home, we will be right there with you.

Our property purchase was handled by Josh, who was so so helpful and answered any questions we had. We couldn't have asked for an easier experience. As first-time buyers we had a lot of questions and Josh always made sure we were up to speed with the process and never left us waiting. We are very grateful and would highly recommend Homemade Homes.

Appalling customer service.
Recommend independent complaints manager to replace cavalier one who doubles as manager I complained about!
Attempted purchase 11th March, and in spite of est agent being told in March electricity would be switched on and property cleaned, along with new 99 yr lease, this still hasn't happened 30th May!
Recommend ALL legal docs collated as soon as property put on the market not MONTHS after sale agreed, and quit excuses like 'we didn't know whether the property would sell.'--cavalier attitude now impacting a whole series of decent honest people.
Recommend Homemadehomes detail what's included in sale AND the location of it instead of expecting est agent to second guess where garage, additional storage, access is sited etc............
Recommend checking all computerised docs so wrong ones sent to solicitor(six times!)cannot be idiotically blamed on the computer!
Recommend that the lease is drawn up prior to advertising NOT three/four/five/????? months after sale agreed. Sorry still waiting.................
Recommend conveyancing begins as soon as sale agreed, as is normal, NOT ....sorry when are ALL legal docs to be sent to my sol?? Does this manager even know what conveyancing involves...her poor use of written language evidences she doesn't.
Recommend manager put on an English course as her written comms is appalling---no experience of using technical terminology appropriately etc Answers any question except the one you ask, and gives gratutious information to cover up the fact she hasn't a clue about what she is talking about......e.g My Q.when will conveyancing begin?(asked over five times)

My buyers are tearing their hair out, so am I at the total incompetence feeding the delay of a purchase which would in the real world take only eight weeks. The whole process is costing me money with a string of contractors wondering what is going on. In addition agencies that have dealt with this org fail to give positive appraisal unsurprisingly.
Disgraceful company turning what should have been a simple swift cash purchase into a tour of insolence and poor management.
'Resale purchase' used in reply demonstrates another abuse of terminology, why not just say 'purchase?' Also I would prefer using my solicitor for help with the purchase, who still awaits being sent all legal docs related to my purchase..........

Absolutely shocking company who’s sales team have no idea what is going on with the properties once they are sign off,
Constantly ringing to chase things up when they have no idea what is going on because no one is on site, worst experience of a new build company, take your money then disappear and don’t care about the customer.

Overall a good experience with Homemade Homes, we had experience of shared ownership before so knew the ins and outs. On the day of completion everything went smooth and handover was quick, easy and stress free. We had a few questions through out the process and had to chase with certain things but overall communication was good and we would always get a response.
Thank you to Adam and Nicole who helped us with everything.
