I have a True Steam furnace 509A humidifier. It failed early on. I called Honeywell and had the case report sent to higher level. They never called back. I then called and got some guy in India, who said they no longer support it. My original installer came out and said he had no idea how to fix it (after they charged me $1000 to install it. ) I looked at Y Tube and saw a solution, ordered a water level sensor, and it worked. I turned it on this past week after a year of not using it and the water tank did not fill. I followed directions to recycle, and still no fill. The cord got so hot I burned my hand pulling it out of the wall socket. I now find there was a class action law suit over the True Steams. I was never advised. I wrote HoneyWell and they sent a phone number to call. âResideoâ was the company I was told to call and they say they are busy and put you on hold. Spent an hour on hold. I called Resideo again. I got through this time and he said the whole thing did not sound like Honeywell handled it well. He offered me âthe monthly special discount on a thermostat ?????â Really ?? He then switched me to âWaterworksâ and I was on hold for 20 minutes, and yes gave up ! I called Honeywell in Minneapolis to get some one to help me. I talked with a guy named âBillyâ who just laughed when I told him I almost had a home fire because of my faulty Honeywell True Steam Humidifier. They sold a unit that was defective and could care less. Honeywell customer service is horrible . I will never buy a Honeywell anything again.
Complete trash - both product and support
Failed within 3 months - wouldnât boot at all. Customer service wanted me to remove the replacement thermostat I put in, measure the voltage on the old one, and then they would consider a warranty replacement.
Went straight into trash - donât bother doing business with companies that want you to disable your heat and spend hours troubleshooting with them to replace a $100 thermostat. Get a Nest; itâs been working flawlessly ever since.
Deurbel DCR313N onbetrouwbaar in winter
Ik heb op 6 maart 2019 deze DCR313N deurbel set gekocht bij Alternate. Mijn vrouw was erg enthousiast, omdat ze het ontvanger deel mee kan nemen naar alle vertrekken in ons huis, Handig als je veel bezoek aan huis krijgt en tussendoor nog wat dingetjes in huis doet. De bel toon keuzes zijn aangenaam, en volume is goed in te stellen. Tot nu toe alles goed.
Totdat de winter kwam van 2020-2021: Toen begon de deurbelknop te haperen. In april 2021 toch maar aktie ondernomen, maar uiteraard is de garantie net 2 weken verlopen (Het lijkt wel Philips!). Uiteindelijk een nieuwe belknop gekocht en gepaired. Alles was weer helemaal okay.
Totdat de winter van 2021-2022 kwam. Wederom deed de knop het niet meer of gewoon slecht. Dat wil zeggen: 10x drukken en dan doet ie het. Honeywell heeft geen klantenservice, maar met een vertegenwoordig of zo. En dat heeft tot nu toe alleen maar afschepen opgeleverd: batterij zal wel leeg zijn! Nee dus: Gewoon 3.06V open klem spanning!.
Mijn advies: Koop geen Honeywell.
Appalling equipment and customer service
A great concept but completely useless.
We bought the Evo Home kit to replace out Nest system and regret every second. If there is a fault you, as the owner, cannot fix it, you have to 'call out your installer' who will very quickly (and very rightly) get pissed off with having to keep coming out to fix a flawed system . If anything fails, there is no way to override and manually take control so your whole system shuts down, which in winter in pretty diabolical. It is completely user-unfriendly. That aside, it just doesn't work. It does its own thing, changes temperatures, changes the schedule or just does nothing.
The worst thing... Customer services will just ignore you. I've emailed them and they're not interested.
Save your money, buy a Nest. It was the best thing we gave up.

Ik heb een honeywell t6 thermostaat welke ik ongeveer 3 jaar heb. De app werkt sowieso altijd al slecht, maar nu werkte de verwarming niet meer. We roken een enorme brandlucht in de garage waar de ketel hangt, de ketelmodule ban de thermostaat was in de vik gevlogen.
Honeywell gebeld, vervelend meneer maar brand of niet de garantie van 24 maanden is voorbij. Oke bedankt voor de service!
Na 3 jaar lijkt mij een product niet in de brand te mogen vliegen.
A disappointment
We bought a Honeywell DC515 in Feb. 2020 via Action on Hearing Loss (now RNID) - said to be suitable for people with hearing loss. Shortly after installation, the bell push plate fell off. We replaced the bell push but it happened again with the second one. Now the bell is working only intermittently. The original plan was to move the bell from place to place so that we could hear it from the garden for example but, because of the position of the controls, taking it out of its socket often meant we had to reset it so we rather gave up on that. Lovely when it works but not reliable in our experience.
Can't contact customer service
The connected thermostat has stopped working. We don't know how to fix it, and for the life of me I cannot work out how to get in touch with Honeywell customer service!

We have a Honeywell wall heater in the bathroom. The quartz heating elements have failed. Try to contact the company to find where to get replacements? Impossible. A maze of web pages leading to 404 errors, live chats abandonded and a random email from a Kazakhstan address telling me it's made by another company. Never buy anything from Honeywell. They don't care.

We bought 3 portable air conditioners, used them, put them away for the winter months, mind you we bought them at the end of July 2020. Well we pulled them out this year, and one doesn't even work. I called, sent all the information they asked for, and they said no its out of warranty. Excuse me, we paid all this money for their product to work for 3 months! How can you not stand behind your product? They're well known for having a good product, and that may be so, but, I will never purchase another Honeywell item and I will tell everyone not to waste their money. Customer service is key people and Honeywell doesn't have it.
Honeywell PC42d thermal label printerâŠ
Honeywell PC42d thermal label printer is much cheaper than the equivalent Zebra GK420. And its cheap for a reason. The PC42d doesnt support glossy labels ( they jam up because it's a low cost mechanism relying on friction, although considering its a cheap printer maybe thats to be expected ). Once the printer is working, the print is good quality and the firmware has some pretty leading edge features. However getting it to work is a nightmare. Every batch of PC42d printers has different firmware problem and you cant just download a firmware update from their support website which incidently is complete garbage. Information is hard to find and software downloads require an unneccessary download tool that doesn't work and everything requires an email to a support technician who takes a day or two to respond. Once great company seriously lost its way.

Writing this review because we inherited a âsecurityâ system which the previous home owner installed. We were not able to silence the smoke alarms when they caught some smoke from cooking dinner. Eventually I had to track down batteries and power cords to disable the POS entirely. Honeywell lacks the engineering skills to create a button and label it âsilence alarmâ. Apparently there would be some numerical password required to silence an alarm. Thank God the stupid thing didnât also call the fire department.
Worse than useless. Expensive. Terrible user interface. Archaic. Obsolete. Trash.
Donât be stupid enough to ever buy Honeywell.

DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT purchase the honey well evaporative air cooler model number CS10XE. i purchased it in April 29th 2021. in the two months i have had it, used it approximately three weeks and the motor burned out. for a company that prides itself in quality merchandise, i say...baloney. a waste of good hard money. so do not purchase it if you value your money. buy like we did, a HESSAIRE. a much better product. i forgot to send in the warranty, so sucks to be me, but lessoned learned, quality is not from honeywell.

Have emailed back and forth with these people for 7 months for a replacement remote for indoor/outdoor string lights. I paid $50 for these lights to not even be able to use them. I've been told twice that a remote has been sent to me. I still havent recieved the remote. I've tried calling but you cant talk to anyone due to covid... a full YEAR later. Brand Name ruined by poor customer service
It is a shame that Honeywell ruins their efforts in making quality products by having appalling customer service and quality control.
I bought a new wireless thermostat today. When I got it home, and despite the box being sealed, I found that the box had no backplate nor stand which it should have.
I rang the retailer who, rightly or wrongly, suggested I call Honeywell to request the parts as I didn't really want another 40 minute round trip to the shop.
Firstly, I struggled to find a customer service number and, when I did, its overly long automated options didn't cover my issue.
Eventually, I spoke to a man in their technical support section who clearly wasn't interested and said Honeywell couldn't help me. I asked him if there was a specific customer service number which he gave me - this ended up being the number for a completely different company.
Clearly, Honeywell doesn't feel it needs consumer sales.
