Poor Communication.
Only just signed up with them, I'm having so much trouble trying to link domain to my website, communication is very poor, they take days to respond, then they ask you the same thing that they previously asked, so you repeat what you've already told them and give information that you have already provided. I'm just going round in circles here, literally feel like bouncing my head off of a brick wall (not literally). I feel like I've made a massive mistake choosing hosting Ireland.

Used them for like 4 years
Used them for like 4 years. They were OK initially, their prices were good.
However I bought a new domain and it's actually absolutely garbage. Every single time I try to update my DNS settings it says that my domain is not pointing to the nameservers (when I didn't even change my nameservers and when I look at it, they are in fact pointing to their nameservers).
And when I try change the nameservers, I get this error "An issue was encountered while updating the domain nameservers. Please contact support."
Then, their support takes 2 business days to reply and we go back and forth over the days. By that time, I've lost so much traction that I could've gotten if I used literally any other domain provider in existence
Also, If you want to transfer your domain you have to email their customer service.. they don't even display the Auth code if you want to switch providers, which is something everyone else does! This is an extremely insecure move.
1 star. Not a 1 star because they USED to be decent.

Uncompetitive Renewal Premium for website. This company does not look after existing customers. My Renewal went up year on year 2024 and 2025 and increase doubled in 2026 whilst new customers are offered price lower than my 2023 plan!!!Very disappointing. Customer service replies with copy and paste waffle without responding or resolving specific issues. I have escalated my issue to a formal complaint..... I'm still awaiting a response
Not great customer service
Not great customer service & payment system failed many times tru automated payment service . Contacted there customer service to no avail leaving website shutdown . No communication except for email telling me please pay account overdue . Would not take card payment over phone rectify issue leaving website shutdown with loss of revenue . Would not recommend them tbh
This company is a scam
I’ve been waiting over a week for the refund of my order, and they don’t reply to any messages. I have written to all their support emails, used their ticket system, and they simply refuse to respond.
It seems clear that they are intentionally waiting for the refund period to expire so that I can no longer request my money back.
Shameful behavior.

Complex made easy
I ordered a domain, I made the mistake of ordering two and needed help with cancelling one. They were .ie domain names. I received stellar service, refund for the domain I didn’t want and successfully registered the .ie I wanted. Thanks Hosting Ireland.

Hosting Ireland Going Down The Pan
I have been a customer of Hosting Ireland for nearly ten years. Sadly Hosting Ireland is going down the pan. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone given their customer service and fact you can't get hold of anyone after 5.30pm on Friday afternoon on their over the phone support.
Just ok now, nothing special
I have been with Hosting Ireland for many years, and was always delighted with their service, friendly and supportive technicians, but now I am beginning to wonder…
I had an unfortunate experience with them recently, which took several days to respond to and rectify. I was surprised at lack of management action earlier, but it was eventually resolved because of my persistence.
I had doubts some time ago when I heard that the company had been taken over by ‘Dada’ - a company I had poor experience with before, but I kept an open mind.
Since my recent experience, I have looked around and realise that I can get better deals with more services included elsewhere. Maybe it’s time to move on?

We’ve been using Hosting Ireland for a number of years after trying a number of their competitors - and we have been delighted with the level of service provided in comparison to others
The service itself is excellent and the support staff are brilliant within their roles - we couldn’t recommend Hosting Ireland enough.

Purchased a domain with web hosting ireland and they would not fix the security issues that kept popping up as a warning not to proceed to the site- even after many emails sent. I explained this was going to drive traffic away from the site and looks really bad. They acted like they could do nothing. Ive never had this issue before with any other hosting service i have used. So if you are considering just buying a domain alone - i would look to other well known hosts such as ionos or godaddy.

I have had bad experiences with several web hosting companies - if you read my other reviews you can see - but it has been a pleasure to deal with Hosting Ireland - I had a problem so I sent support an email and it was sorted out quickly and painlessly - wish they were all like this!

Terrible communication, negligent customer support and wrongly took money from my account.
Terrible communication, negligent customer support and took money from my account, for an annual SSL renewal service (that's free elsewhere!), when I did not have the original and had only been operating a few weeks. There's a lot more issues and I could elaborate on each point here - but my only advice, I'm sharing widely, is to avoid this hosting company at all costs.
Very predatory pricing system
Very predatory pricing system, and difficult to cancel.
Get you in with cheap offer then hike prices and make it hard to change password or cancel.
Simple and straighforward
Friendly and helpful support
You pay add-ons and that will make you pay more in the very end.
The price is okay, but they don't mention the add-ons, so you end up paying more. My page email is through a different website, and the templates are limited and less customizable compared to other companies.
The good thing is that the customer service is good, they always help me and it's an Irish company.
Having been using them a long time
Having been using them a long time. Have never had any problem or reason to go elsewhere.
