Have been using blacknight for more than 10 years without any issues. Great support the few times it was needed.

I paid for a SSL cert a week ago and keep getting automated messages that my invoice is not paid nor am I getting the service I paid for. All attempts to try and talk to someone in this company failed. I have evidence that the payment left my account over a week ago, it has been deducted from my BOI account the same day I made the payment. This company is a joke! No customer service whatsoever.

Gen X/ Gen Jones/ Boomers may struggle with webpage design and domain purchasing for business purposes in the modern world. Choosing Blacknight for their expertise makes everything so easy.. Conor and Leon have been so helpful and it seems like they can do their work with their eyes closed.. The team are very helpful and a pleasure to work with.. I highly recommend them..

Blacknight staff have provided me with great customer support for a number of queries I've had over the years, whether restoring domains that I had inadvertently let slip or answering technical questions. My latest was today, and the response times, professionalism, and assistance couldn't have been better - I'm hugely grateful!

Excellent service as I have learned over the years is the norm at Blacknight. Irish web builders are so lucky to have you. When everything on the Internet is getting more and more impersonal, Blacknight maintain a really good commitment to one to one, considerate, effective service. Bravo guys, ye are always there when needed.

worst service ever, requested support the staff is rude and condescending

Purchased the Fibre 2000 broadband, paid yearly upfront, which at the time of purchase, was clearly with no data limits at all: "Yes, all of our broadband plans include unlimited downloads." and no mention of Fair Usage in their policies. After a few months, received a phone call that I was using too much of their "unlimited" plan, being in the top 1% of their user base and this was causing issues with SIRO. Asked for cancellation, they said it would only be possible after the 6th month. So basically they changed the conditions during the term and kicked a customer. Now their FAQ and policies talk about the Fair Usage but in a very broad sense. The actual limit is 10TB/month in case anyone is wondering (or at least this is what I was said in the support ticket). Moved to another SIRO provider where this same usage level is not a concern - so probably a lie that the issue was on SIRO. At least got a partial refund, so giving 2 stars instead of the deserved 1.

They’re always very quick with their responses. Emails, or I’m being called after I send an email. Good customer service. I’ve been out of broadband since storm Eowyn and blacknight has been giving me frequent updates from NBI, and they even supplied me with credit since I’ve been out of broadband. They’re reliable, efficient and good. 👍

I thought choosing a smaller Irish provider would provide a more personable experience.
I couldn't have been more wrong. Nightmare from the start. Customer service are 0 help. I'm still unsure if they use the least intelligent chatbots I've encountered of if "Liam" just doesn't give a rats.
I've left my number many times and asked to be called as the reply time is unbearable. No one has called.
I had a much better experience with wix. Years ago for a college project I turned out a site in a day.
I've been a member of blacknight for months, my site is stuck in limbo I cannot edit it or publish my edits.
Nightmare company AVOID!

BEWARE: Horrible Domain Registration Experience. When I learned that Blacknight had many negative reviews, I asked them to cancel domain name transfers that were in progress, which they stated they had done and refunded the original payment. In fact, I soon learned that Blacknight had not been truthful and the domain name transfers were not cancelled. Then, Blacknight asked that I make payment, again, for the domain name transfers or they would suspend my domains (hold hostage), until I did make payment. I ended up having to pay the ransom on their demands and then transferred the domains out from Blacknight as soon as possible. I did find out that the original payment was only partially refunded, due to the Euro to USD conversion rate. You would think an international company would provide a refund in the original currency to avoid partial refunds. Blacknight didn't care. Blacknight reminded me that they are an Irish company that deals in Euro and not in good faith. Avoid Blacknight. You've been warned.

This company is a nightmare to deal with, just took down the SSL from our site (without informing us) even though the certificate is not due to expire for another week. This is not the first time this has happened as our site has been affected many times in the past. Avoid them as hosters!

Have been a long time Blacknight user and cannot recommend them enough.

I started with them with domains and won far too many but their purchase and renewal systems make the process very easy.

I then added hosting and have tried others but no one is as easy and simple and secure as Blacknight. I cannot remember any downtime on any of my hosts.

Couple of years ago, I added broadband and after years with Eir, the process was so much easier. And after 2 or so years, no one downtime yet. Speed is always on the nail and usually faster than advertised

I have been using Blacknight for years for a range of sites, from my own micro business site to ones for charities and voluntary organisations. Their support is first class, over the phone whenever needed and follow up emails. Today I spoke with Chris in support and Sam in sales. I am not at all technical and both of them worked to get my requests sorted in a matter of hours. It makes such a difference.

Very professional approach,she liaised and organized the installation as soon as possible and the crew done a great job:in 30 minutes the installation was completed!

1. Very rude customer support.
2. they play around with the contract behind your back without any notice.
3. broadband very slow and very unreliable.
4. they advertise 2 gig broadband while the COMREG states the maximum is 1gig.

I've domains with Blacknight and find the control panel easy to use and the dns settings easy to change, and the prices competitive.

Their verification process for .ie domains is smooth too.

Soon im going to be hosting again, i think i'll go back.

Many of the hosting providers out there have become way too unreliable to use with reports of closing peoples accounts or sites for no reason, or suddenly hiking their costs by 10x. Their review ratings are in the toilet. Blacknight seems to manage fraud and other regulations without any of the drama and carry on, and reviews are still good and going strong so its an obvious choice.

Broadband deal looks good too.
