Have used Michelle since we bought our first home in 2012 and recently used IMS to sort out our remortgage application. Michelle fixed our rate so everything was done and then when rates lowered, contacted us and arranged for us to be fixed in at a lower rate; saving us a considerable amount of money in monthly repayments. At the beginning of June, my fiancé and I began the process of purchasing a 2 bed flat, through Lynsey Gorgen. I was 4 months pregnant at the time of viewing, and we were repeatedly assured that completion would take around 8-12 weeks.
At the end of August, having received none of the enquiries back, we decided that we may have to withdraw from the purchase. In response to the email stating this, our solicitor informed us that the Housing Association had never been made aware that the property was for sale, which surely was the responsibility of the estate agent. This delayed the process further, but eventually, we were given the exchange date of the 20th October. My due date was the 21st October and all parties were made aware of this from the beginning. Upon contacting Lynsey to suggest this timeframe might not be plausible for us, her response was “let me know if you want to pull out so I get let the vendor know, she has a job starting in September in new castle so will need to re advertise if you don’t want to proceed”. For a company whose slogan is ‘people before property’, this is a heartless and inappropriate response to receive from the Property Director.
Upon completion, I contacted Lynsey, to confirm that all white goods would be removed from the property, as agreed in the contract. However, when we moved in, the items were not removed, and we had to pay to have them taken away. IMS directed us to contact our solicitor for a reimbursement, however our solicitor has been unable to contact the seller. On attempting to contact IMS again, we were told quite rudely that once the sale went through, the items became our responsibility. It is audacious and grossly unfair to consider this expense to be our responsibility, when Lynsey clearly stated that these items would be removed before our arrival.
Throughout the process, IMS has been slow, passive and uncaring. We repeatedly contacted Lynsey for updates and expressed our distress, but rarely received a response. Any reply we did receive was short, providing no update, or even giving contradictory information to that provided by our solicitor. Lynsey never chased the progress, without us asking, and failed to offer any understanding or sympathy towards our situation. Not only were we forced to move house the day before my due date, and 6 days before I went into labor, but we have had to pay a considerable sum of money, on account of the misinformation, provided by IMS.
From beginning to end, completion took 20 weeks, and I am certain that a large part of this delay was due to the negligence of IMS.

I am currently in the process of selling my apartment and have had a stressful experience with a different Estate Agent (not IMS). As it is, it does now look as though, at the eleventh hour, they've managed to sell it - however, Michelle and Lynsey from IMS were poised to take over from today. So, because of their amazing personal customer-focused approach, the way in which they've dealt with me, the advice they've given and their graciousness and integrity, I am still going to leave them a 5 star review. In the time I've been dealing with them, they have given me nothing but 5 star service. Although I couldn't eventually go through with moving to them, I can tell you that I've had a better service from them in the last 3 weeks than I've had from my current estate agent for the last 2 months. They answer emails and phone calls immediately, their communication has been outstanding. They have been personable, warm, friendly, utterly professional, and so very knowledgeble on shared-ownership matters.

I have always used IMS for my mortgages, and I bought my current apartment through them. The only reason I didn't go straight to them this time was because I thought I should stick with the same agency I was buying my onward purchase through. I was wrong, and I wish I'd gone straight to Michelle. It still might have taken a while to sell, but I would have been treated to a far more more personal service and would not have felt an iota of the stress. It's not a mistake I will make again. Thank you to Michelle, Lynsey and Tracy who, through their professionaism and personal touch, have more than earned the fee I will now be reluctantly giving to someone else.

Reliable and trustworthy, professional and approachable, I’ve been renting the house I’m in now for over 4 years , IMS have been a godsend! I call them for advice and help with everything (rather than call the landlords who are hard to get in touch with) they have help with any issues or questions I’ve had and are always so friendly (I literally have Lynsey on speed dial) . I would love 100% recommend them and would only go through them myself now.
