So far it’s going pretty good

I had this insurance for only a day, trying to get my account set up for their 30-day test drive. When I called for help, the sales rep didn't really understand my question due to a language barrier, so I asked him to transfer me to someone who could understand and help me. The sales rep quickly put me on hold, and a few seconds later, I was hung up on! Never got my issue resolved! If I can't get help with a simple fix, then what makes me think they would be able to help if I had a major problem!

ROOT was a very useful way of renewing your Auto Insurance because it allowed you to do it on your computer as a multitasking item. I was working on a project, answer emails and was able to accomplish the purchase during lunch time. Sometimes shopping can be a time-consuming ordeal. ROOT was very useful.

Quick and very easy

I like that it was pretty simple

ROOT Insurance required a driving test through their app. I received an 8/10 (excellent) score. They sent a notice of cancellation on Dec 23. I called customer service and nobody could explain why I was being cancelled. I obtained new insurance, paid premiums and then was charged $208 on Jan 5 for a full month of insurance by Root. I once again called customer service who said I would be refunded the unused $208 once the policy cancelled in three days (Jan 8). I cancelled effective Jan 5 to avoid paying for two policies at the same time. Root only refunded $115 of the $208 charged claiming they have a non refundable early cancellation fee for cancelling on the 5th and not 8th! Everything this company has done is fraudulent to squeeze money out of people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I just wanted to get a quote honestly, but with unbeatable prices like root I had no choice but to buy in. I was able to get same day coverage with no hassle.

I like how easy it is to get insurance, the website is easy to navigate, I got my car insurances in minutes.

This experience is completely inaccurate, there’s no way for the system to differentiate if I’m the one driving, or If im using a ride service, or even if I’m on an electric bicycle

It was good and affordable pricing.

HORRIBLE. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. They will not refund me all of my money and made up a bunch of fees they are required to keep. I will make it my mission to warn as many people as I can since they won't give me my money back.

So far it is great. Everything was completed online. I just joined, so we'll see how it goes.

Was involved in a hit-and-run called my insurance company the same day my car was put into the police impound that day. I told them where my car was located. this happened on December 10 it is now December 22. I called the impound. No one from Root has ever called them nor has they ever pick my car up to even take it to get fixed or anything now I get a email from the claims adjuster telling me he has no way of taking a check or cash to them to get the car out of impound that is not my responsibility. I pay you all to do your job. This is the worst insurance I ever had. All I know is that a little while longer the car will be auctioned off by the impound. I now will have to end up getting a Lawyer just to get them to do their job or to get them to end up paying for that car which could’ve been fixed. It’s ridiculous to have an insurance that does not want to do that job that you’re paying them. to. Do you pay them every month on time and when something happen, they want to drag their feet sitting here with no vehicle having to depend on a Uber or Lyft to get around still having to pay and insurance payments for a car that I can’t drive still having to pay a car note on the car that I can’t have
