Lazada collects your money
Lazada collects your money, but if you have a problem with the product, they want you to deal with the sellers, who can be scammers. Lazada don't guarantee your money back like PayPal or Ebay. I would NOT recommend Lazada to anyone. I got scammed twice and Lazada refused to help.
I had to return a defective product - lazada steal your wallet
I had to return a defective product - which took me ages to find out how to proceed for refund. Finally, I got the info that only mobile connection can use the refund tool.... ! So, I had to download the app. As usual, vendors make your life extremely difficult to any "cancellation" or "refund" process.
Anyway, I finally got the lazada wallet function. So far so good... However, when I purchased another product my wallet was just IMPOSSIBLE to use. First, lazada requires your passport scan (!!!), your photo (!!!!). Ok, I provided all this (against my will I must say). Even though, the wallet does just NOT FUNCTION. The purchase is systematically kept on hold 24h for "payment pending"... After 24h, the order is purely cancelled by Lazada. Of course, they don't want to pay the money they steal you!!! I did it 2 times in a row, and all the same; After this time is elapsed I received today a lazada message stating litterally "dear valued customer. bla bla bla... , we regret to inform you that your recent order xxxx has been cancelled due to system default reason" bla bla bla ... read this "due to system default reason". What a shame. I have bought a lot on Lazada, unfortunately only once I had to return a product. I will NEVER buy again on this theaves and bandits site.Avoid them if possible!!

Lazada PH is a nightmare
Lazada PH is a nightmare. They don't deliver your items 2 cp got stolen in the warehouse ein Tanay, Rizal. Another cp and shipments laying around and don't get delivered for days. Looks like Lazada dont care anymore about their marketplace in the Philippines.

Absolute nightmare. Within 48h 2 orders of cellphones got stolen before it got delivered. Bought also for 1200php Adidas slipper but they are fake. Dont buy from Lazada marketplace.

I wish I could only give 0 star for Lazada. I have been buying a lot of stuff in Lazada for years and I already spent more than P1 million but unfortunately Lazada block my credit card and COD so that means they hate their business so much and they don’t care if their sellers have no income and that’s the fact. I tried to give Lazada multiple chances to unblock the Credit Card and COD but they didn’t want to so I bought the items in the store such as WILCON Depot and WILCON is very lucky to have me as their customer since I bought a lot of things from them worth P150k and I will buy more from them. Lazada thinks that they’re the only online store in the world and that’s embarrassing!. I wish that Lazada would not have customers anymore so they would learn their big mistakes.
Lazada sell counterfeit Electronics
On July 4, 2025, I ordered a Samsung S25 Ultra from a vendor on Lazada. I thought Lazada verikfies that items sold are not counterfeit. Today, 4/16/2026, I ordered an ESim from Tello, so I can call and text the US, as opposed to IP phone numbers where you cannot. I found out my phone was counterfeit. It never worked correctly, but today, I found out that S25 Utlra phones have Android 15 or higher. Mine has Android 14. I tried contacting lazada, but impossible to get a hold of a live person there. I amout close to 5,000 php or $100. I understand the thr S25Ultra sells for $400 in the Philippines and at least $1,000 in the US. I now have to spend $400 to buy an A56 that will at least work with an Esim. I will stop buying stuff on Lazada. Never buy electronics. Most vendors are frauds and sell you counterfeit products or sell you something that is not as described. Buyer BEWARE on Lazada.
Delivery took a very long time
Delivery took a very long time. More than 10 days of waiting is just too much. I hope Lazada will do something about it. I love Lazada but their courier is sobrang bagal talaga. 🙁
I ordered a 52mm lens filter
I ordered a 52mm lens filter, but received a 72mm lens filter delivered by a courier. After following instructions, I packaged up the lens filter for return and reordered after they refunded my money to a Lazada wallet. I reordered the 52mm lens filter and received a 58mm lens filter. I can only assume that the seller RLlive Store could care less about their business practices and trying to leave a review for their online services, have I felt so disrespected. I can only say that if you see the seller name RLlive Store, steer clear away from this seller and find another seller because obviously they could care less about their customers

Lazada seem to have the option to pass full payment on to LazaMall sellers and allow them to use their own delivery service.
Then when things go wrong, Lazada want nothing to do with it. The guaranteed service is not honoured

I ordered three boxes of cheese popcorn. I received one box of buttered popcorn. No return refund option was available as they canceled the order after I had paid for it.

They are worst when it comes to returning items due to damaged items! No customer service that will assist you. And when approved you will pay the cost for delivering to their designated courier when its not your fault that the item was damaged.

Lazada as an online selling platform is quite promising. Lots of good sellers, only dragged down by fraudulent scammers and careless delivery. The app, I uninstalled from all my phones because of very annoying notifications that cannot be easily blocked. Still, compared to its competitors, our family regularly buys from this platform, guided by metrics and evaluation of each individual item sold there. Overall, it is more trustworthy than its current competition.

I've been living in Thailand for many years and I use Lazadaa often. I get everything from cat food and imported cheeses to Televisions and a refrigerator. I've, for sure, made hundreds of transactions and it's not been without some issues (especially with sizes) but it's very easy to return to anything you get that doesn't work out and I've never been denied a refund. ( At least 25 attempts) Also, I I've had my credit card on file for years without issue. The only reason that I came here today is because I bought a phone for a really good price and the seller contacted me saying that if I am wanted it for that number then I would have to cancel my Lazada payment and order directly from him. I told him to F off and reported him because to me it's fraud. Now I have a different phone I want to buy but the store doesn't have a great rating and few reviews. I want to buy it but I might get a second opinion from Lazada since I was just speaking to them about the last seller. I will add that I have never received fraudulent items in the past but I use top sellers with tons of reviews typically so hence my hesitation. That said if Lazada says their good I will buy and know that I can return it without issue should my trepidation be realized.
Lazada encourages scammers
Lazada encourages scammers, when I ordered specific chocolates for a recipe, I received, expired, generic ones. Apparently this is acceptable to Lazada, refund denied by them. My bank saw differently and forced a refund, so the seller, the scammer, got to keep the money, but lazada had to refund the money themselves.
It can be good, but bad experiences, you're out of luck in getting support, you get scammed, they will literally say, "sorry you didn't get what you ordered, but you won't get a refund"
