Although I may disagree with their appraisers much of the time I still enjoy doing business with them and think the individuals that I work with are top notch.

I bought a wonderful watercolor painting. Lofty was quick to respond and try to get the price lowered. That didn't happen but I bought it anyway and was very satisfied with Lofty's service and the piece of art !

If you are looking to sell a piece of art work, I would recommend Lofty in a heartbeat. They are very thorough which helps in every stage of the sale, providing clarity for both seller and buyer. Their staff is very knowledgable and enthusiastic and they always make you feel like every step you take or piece of information they ask for is leading that much closer to an equitable sale. That is one word I would stress with the Lofty process; equitable. At every stage it feels like they are looking out for both buyer and seller and that is a rare balance to strike.

On a trial basis, I offered two paintings–one historic, the other, contemporary. The latter sold virtually immediately while the second one flounders. I will try some other items–paintings as well as artifacts–when time permits.
