Have had the pleasure of placing several highly priced items for auction with Lofty. From the outset, Lifty employees were both courteous and helpful in arranging for my pieces to be placed at auction. Upon items having been sold, Lofty expedited the shipping process and insured I was compensated for the sale in a prompt and professional manner.

I was searching for an engagement ring for my fiancé in the most typical of places and was not excited about any of the items that I had seen as they all seemed to lack individuality. A friend recommended that I buy an antique/vintage ring and pointed me to a couple of different sites on the internet which deal only with fine art.

At first I was apprehensive as I was trying to follow the numerous engagement "rules" that I had heard throughout my life. After checking the sites that my friend sent me I soon realized that not only could I get more of a ring, but every single ring that I saw on Lofty was one of a kind.

I was immediately drawn to a ring but looked and found a few more that I liked as well. I decided to put an offer in on the first ring that I was drawn to but emailed Lofty as I had preliminary questions to make sure that I was making the right purchase.

I received a response from Lofty almost immediately. The person explained everything to me and reassured me about my decision. She also sent me similar listings that could be resized at no additional charges on both Lofty and other sites which Lofty had relationships with.

I originally went with the early 20th century engagement ring that I was drawn to. Two additional individuals from Lofty assisted me with my offer which was accepted the same day and in my hands two days later.

I am shocked by the amount of personal attention that I received from what I initially though was just a website. I would strongly recommend buying a vintage/antique ring from an art dealer to anyone who is looking for a ring as unique as the the person who will be wearing it. If you are like I was, and might be a bit apprehensive about talking to an art dealer then I can not recommend Lofty enough. I felt that Lofty went above and beyond for me but I'm willing to bet that they do they same for everyone which is why I will be a customer again in the future and make recommendations to others.

An additional perk of buying a vintage/antique ring is the moral reassurance that the Diamond and materials are not sourced from conflict areas and mines.

I had a great experience buying my first piece of art from Lofty. I indicated my interest in the piece, and John Maher did a fantastic job of immediately sharing high-res pictures with me. He was also great about reassuring me regarding the quality and condition of the piece.

After I put in my offer, Alexandra immediately contacted me to let me know about next steps. I really appreciated her quick response time and her willingness to answer all of my questions about the piece, including provenance and lingering questions about the condition of the work. When my offer went through, the payment process was extremely easy and everything was done extremely professionally.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Lofty and am looking forward to working with them again in the future.

Who would buy an Oriental rug online? I always thought you had to see it, touch it, feel it. Handmade rugs are works of art. They aren't the sort of thing you buy without them being just right for the space, for the light in the room. They are an expression of your personal taste. They usually make a statement and you want it to be a good one. We searched for the right rug for a long time. We were exasperated. My husband was looking at the art on lofty.com and then meandered to the "Rug" section. There it was. The right colors. The right size. We knew it looked like the rug of our dreams on the computer screen, but what if when we got it in place it was all wrong? Lofty said we could return it. The rug arrived and it was indeed perfect. However, if it wouldn't have been perfect, we could return it. Now that is perfect.

I saw the area rug I wanted on Lofy's website. The price was very fair. I spoke with a lovely person from lofty, who made it happen. In no time the rug was shipped right to my home! It looks great !
