I would not have purchased had I known I would be charged a tariff that's as much as the wallet itself. The seller should list this disclosure when in the sales receipt during purchase. What a waste of money.
I have ordered from them a few times
I have ordered from them a handful of times. The first time was fine (very small order of simple labels). The second order was cancelled without notification because they ran out of stock (without notifying me of the change). I had to email them to find out what happened. They eventually refunded me. The third order went fine (another small order). But the fourth one contained the entirely wrong item among a few correct items. Don't waste your time.
Organic Sugarcane Alcohol may contain Methanol??
They sell an organic sugarcane alcohol that they list on the product page as the only ingredient with a ton of tags, like "toxin-free" and "environmentally friendly, antibacterial, organic, non-GMO, 100% natural, and pure." In their defense they do not claim that it's non-denatured and they have no third party certifications like USP, but they have another cheaper base that is labeled denatured, which further implies that this product is non-denatured. They also list in their FAQ that they avoid the use of harmful chemicals such as Prop 65 ingredients, which Methanol is categorized as.
However, the actual safety data sheet for this product lists the composition as a proprietary blend therefore it is withholding disclosure as a trade secret, which appears to be legally permissible? All of the danger warnings for ingestion directly are for the treatment of methanol poisoning. And the transportation codes in section 14 have it listed as UN1170 "ETHANOL/METHANOL." It also says in section 12 that "this material may be harmful to aquatic life" and "it may cause long-term adverse effects in the environment."
By comparison, even the cheaper denatured alcohol base only lists it's transportation code as UN1170 "ETHANOL" and none of the same methanol warnings, which shows that these warnings are not generalized or universal safety warnings, but specific to the product.
This strongly suggests that the product contains methanol, which is in direct contradiction to the product page as well as their FAQ.
I am making no claims myself as to the actual composition of this product, I'm merely pointing out what I feel are confusing contradictions that make me wonder if they're being misleading on the safety data sheet to avoid paying the extra costs for selling non-denatured alcohol or if it's denatured and they're just presenting it as a cleaner product than it is to mark up the cost, potentially to the risk of any buyer.
There is at least one user who left a review that they use this product for tinctures, surely under the assumption that this product truly only has the single ingredient as they list it, despite a warning on the side of the bottle that it's not safe for consumption (which they do not show on the product images or description).
I am concerned their lack of transparency here and confusing presentation could potentially be misleading consumers into consuming a dangerous compound that has extremely harmful effects. I strongly feel that if the product contains or may contain Methanol, that they disclose this directly on the product page, rather than implied indirectly on the safety data sheet, or their safety data sheet updated to match the truth of the product if it doesn't contain any methanol.
Almost no scent
I just made my first candles and bought the supplies at Hobby Lobby and this was the main brand they had in stock. I made 5 lbs, 1 lb of each of the five flavors I bought. The solidified wax smells very nice but after I let the candles age for 10 days as I saw suggested somewhere the tubs of excess wax still smell very nice but the candles when burning produce almost no scent at all. Makes me feel as if I wasted every cent I spent, not just on the fragrances, but the wax and wicks as well. Not buying these again.

I have ordered from Makesy.com many times. I ordered and received half the shipment that I placed in November before Thanksgiving. It is now December 16, and I still have not received my 44 pound block of wax to make candles. This is very frustrating as Makesy appears to be a larger and reputable corporation that can handle an influx of orders. I have sent multiple emails in which the rep is either not able or capable of answering a ship date on a product they should have shipped several weeks ago. This is not acceptable..

If the shipping wasn't so bad I'd give it a 5 star. I ordered wooden wicks weeks in advanced and now it's only coming after my event due to the very slow shipping of Makesy. This isn't the first time. Beautiful site, great products, overpriced - but please work on quality control. I had to re-order wicks because they also sent the wrong one. Stressful during the busy season!
Out of stock a lot
Some of the fragrances that I really wanted were out of stock. It does take a while to get your product. But I gotta tell you the fragrances are tremendous.! As far as customer service, I haven’t had to use them yet, but I will tell you this , as someone who has managed large companies, if your customer service sucks your company sucks. That’s just the way it is. Do you want to increase your business? Get rid of whoever your customer service people are now and hire someone that actually cares and will respond immediately. This all starts with management, you may have to get rid of them too. Customer service brings people to the business!
Slow Shipping
Placed an order as a Makerpro member. Paid $99 for a year to get one day processing. Two weeks later a basic order of one item has not shipped. Contacted customer service and they responded quickly but has made no difference, order is still unfulfilled.

This company is selling items that are out of stock. If you place an order with more than one item and one of those items is out of stock they will send you a partial shipment and then claim the out of stock item was shipped with it. Customer service is a total nightmare. I will now have to dispute the charge with my credit card since they have yet to issue a refund. This company has gone downhill fast. After years of ordering from them I am done.
I used to love this company
I used to love this company, but, it has truly gone downhill. They price gauge customers on so many of the oils you can now find elsewhere. The quality is the same, so, don't be fooled by their bs excuses. The wooden wicks often arrive broken or split while working on candles. They are not consistent or shipped with care. They come from various places. They offer sales which are nice, but, for small businesses, we can't always take advantage of those at that time. So, when you do need fragrances, they aren't available. 5 candles in our line use Makesy fragrance oils and I can't get any of the oils when needed. I'm now going to need to reformulate the candles using someone else who is more reliable. I've had shipments that were never shipped. Some, I even forgot about until I went to look at my order history. Customer service use to repsond within 24 hours, now it may be days. They just raised their free shipping and increased many of their oils like Palo Santo which are now not affordable. It's really sad, but, I'm pulling away from Makesy. I can't deal with this stress and such an unreliable company.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience as others. I waited months for an order, but I finally got a response when I tried a different communication method (emailed support), so hopefully, there will be a resolution soon. I got 1 oil out of an order of 11.
Update 8/2025: I received 8 more oils in 2 packages. So, 9/11 oils were received. I will leave it be now, but I won’t order again. Also packaging was not cute. Scents were too sweet. I only liked the organic eucalyptus secent. Other scents were very perfumy/cologny or smelled like cleaning products.
Poor experience, likely a scam
I ordered a sample fragrance oil kit from this website. It's been 2 months without any shipping or update. I have reached out to the site directly using their website and via email. No response. I tried leaving a poor review on their website, but it wouldnt let me post. I'm disappointed as i was looking forward to trying their products. Save your money and shop elsewhere. I used to LOVE Makesy. For years, my "go-to supplier! A bit expensive, but it used to be worth it. The quality is exceptional, and Customer Service WAS impeccable. Shipping was occasionally a problem, but lately things have arrived well-packed with no damage. Of late, I am extremely frustrated and am now looking for another company. The Maker Pro program was a blessing, but I feel a bit of a bait and switch scenario is happening. The company moved to Texas a few months ago, and they are always out of stock on everything that make up the top sellers on my website. At least 10-15 products I have been unable to restock for MONTHS. They have sales constantly that I cannot take advantage of because the product is not available. Some of the available products have jumped in price by over 20% so to put them on sale for 20% off seems a bit shifty. On top of that, since the move, free shipping jumped from orders over $149 to now $199 and up. Makes me feel like this company is in a bit of a pickle. Chat is no longer available, and if you email them, you might get a real response eventually, but with no help or resolution, just full of excuses and apologies.

I’ve been a loyal Makesy customer for years and have spent over $10,000 in your store — I love your products, but this kind of customer service is simply unacceptable. This order was time-sensitive, and the complete lack of communication is both unprofessional and frustrating.
Over 2 Months Late
UPDATE: The order has shipped as of 6/20/25 - but only after sending multiple, persistent, stern emails. I hope they review all their systems and course-correct before the ship sinks. This is a sign of a business in trouble, not growing as they claim.
Over 2 Months Late, No Communication
I placed a large wood wick only order with Makesy on April 15, 2025. As of mid-June — two months later — my order has not shipped, despite multiple written promises it would. I’ve reached out several times for updates and have received no reply. This is affecting our production timeline and costing us revenue. I am now exploring legal action. I’ve since discovered that many others are experiencing the same delays, poor communication, and lack of accountability.

If there was zero I would have voted for it... Terrible customer service. Shipments in complete chaos. I order from abroad and they make partial shipments forcing me to pay customs charges for each partial. They ship after an infinite amount of time and make mistakes in the shipments. I don't know what's happening but for me it will be the last order. Since they became MAKESY everything has changed for the worse... it was an excellent supplier of wicks and now they are in disarray

Wish I could give 0 star. Worst customer service. I paid 820 USD for jars that I never received (ordered them 3 months ago). They shipped other items seperatly so I had to pay a LOT of custom fees. They are ghosting me since few weeks now.

I have received a partial order from 5/8. I reached out 6 days ago via email for an update and no response. I texted the number the provided on their website yesterday and no response from there either. All I’m asking for is an update at this point, but I’m about to speak with my bank. I will never place another order from them again. There are plenty of other great companies to order from for the products they offer - reputable companies that have better (actual) stock and customer service. Apparently customer service doesn’t exist at Makesy.
Sold product they didn't have
Sold product they didn't have. Received one of 10 items ordered. Weeks later they issued a gift card for the amount of the product they sold me but can't fulfill. Told them I would like my card refunded because I will not be ordering from them again, but never heard from them again. So now I have a credit at a store I'll never use again.
They're a scam and a total ripoff.
