Order processing = DISASTER! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Seeing same complaints as mine. Missing orders, delayed, very poor communication, etc. And as I complained last winter, they are behind on current orders and then they run huge sales which causes a giant increase in orders. But they are already behind on prior orders. And now they throw in a warehouse move that had more problems than anticipated.... That is a receipe for disaster. I should have known better but I ordered again because of their sale and I'm seeing the same issue. I get emails that my items shipped but there is no tracking number or an invalid tracking number. Forget about sending them an email because it will be at least a week before you get a reply. I sent a simple ? about quantity of an item and it took over a week for that reply. I see they did not learn from their last pre-order / huge sales last fall / winter prior to the holidays. The quality is great which is why I gave them 2-stars on my rating. But boy - they need new management and new process flows. They should try hiring someone with that type of experience to manage that part of the business. So if you want quality products and can wait 2 months for your orders - order from Makesy. Otherwise - avoid and don't even start and you won't be disappointed.
Orders not shipped, Non existent customer service! Avoid!
Been our supplier for 7 years. They use to have great service, but its gotten really bad in the past year (no answers, removed their live chats and support channels).
I have an order from April still not shipped. They have sent out an email with a warehouse transition but no replies to a rough ship date. No replies to emails, will be talking to my credit card company soon to initiate a charge back.
Yet they are throwing sales to accumulate more orders before fulfilling outstanding ones. Whats going on?!

I ordered wooden wicks from this company on April 19th! My ordered still has yet to be fulfilled. I wrote customer service requesting status after a couple of weeks passed. I received a response after 1 week stating they moved into another warehouse and didnât expect so many challenges. Thatâs it! Not a response with an estimated date or anything! It will be June 1st in a couple of days! Mind you they continue to text and email promotional emails with free shipping and discounts which of course leads to more orders for them creating more havoc when theyâve yet to take care of previous customers orders!!! The same line remains on their website that they will ship in 3 to 7 days instead of updating the website to say âSorry we are not shipping out orders for Months!â This is so wrong on so many levels and itâs clear so many others are having the same issue. So if you got time on your hands and can WAIT months and months to get a package go ahead and make a purchase. If not, I would suggest a hard PASS on ordering from Makesy!
Shipping and communication are horrible
I placed one order 16 days ago and have yet to receive all items. It wouldn't be so bad if there was some explanation for the delay or any way to see the status of my order. I received an email 4 days after placing my order that said something along the lines of 'here are some things to do while you wait an eternity for us to ship your order'. I think I also received one that asked if I wanted to add something to my order? I still have no idea when I will receive the items I ordered.

Dont buy from this company. They don't ship your full order together. Only one tracking # and it says fulfilled when I only recieved 1 item out of 12 and that order I recieved wasn't correct. I'm still waiting for 10lbs of wax its been 2 weeks. They stated it was delivered. Nope it wasn't. They said so sorry you are right do you still want the wax. UGHHHH! I wish I could give makesy no stars on here. I put in my order beginning of December and spent hundreds of dollars on it. Iâve received less than 10 of the multiple and multiple items ordered, and the worst part is it isnât even for a business. It was a present. So even if I receive my items thereâs no money or anything to look forward to. For those who spend hundreds or even thousands for their businesses donât go here. Theyâll waste your money, your time, and shift blame to the carriers. After weeks of lack of communication, due to them splitting up one order and taking a month for processing (not even waiting for shipping), after a 5th email of impatience, they took a single day to reship my order. But it was one out of all missing items. They claimed it was âlostâ and Iâm stuck again waiting for the rest of the items to process let alone ship. Every time I communicated with them, I tried to be understanding of the holidays, if things were sold out and just wanted communication they repeated the same problems over and over again. They would take two days at a time to respond and most of the time would appear to be âhelpfulâ after sending a message or email back on Friday. But their chat and emails are closed on weekends. So you wait even longer for a single reply. The quality of their products are good, but not at all worth the stress or issues. Iâm still waiting for a reply and my items.
Unacceptable Customer Service
I am beyond frustrated with this company. Their customer service is appalling, and their shipping practices are both unprofessional and unacceptable. When placing multiple orders, they ship partial items without providing tracking numbers for all shipments. For example, if an order contains eight items and they ship only three, youâll receive a tracking number for the three items but no additional information about the remaining ones. Thereâs no way to know whenâor ifâthe rest will arrive. This lack of transparency leaves customers in limbo, guessing and wondering about their shipments, which is completely unacceptable for any business, especially one where customers are spending thousands of dollars.
Iâve reached out to their customer service multiple times, but my concerns have been met with silence. No responses, no updates, nothing. For a company of this scale, the lack of regard for their customers is shocking. Good customer service isnât optionalâitâs a fundamental expectation, particularly when people are investing heavily in a companyâs products.
This situation is deeply disappointing because their products are exceptional, but their service makes it impossible to trust or rely on them. How can anyone run their own business effectively when their supplier is so inconsistent, unreliable, and dismissive? Itâs a shame that such great products are overshadowed by such poor service.
Consistently Awful Customer Experience
This company has consistently proven itself to be the worst I have ever shopped with in any capacity. Not only do they allow customers to purchase product thatâs not in stock and make them wait days and days for a response when it never gets delivered. But they always have the excuse that it was lost in sorting. They must have something crazy going on internally for this to happen multiple orders in a row. All in all, if you have a business, shop anywhere else if you plan on that business having any kind of shot at thriving. They are adamant on consistently giving their customers a terrible experience back to back in every single order. It hurts to talk so negatively, but I feel obligated to share my experience so that it can save someone else from the living nightmare that is ordering from Makesy. Nothing they have is worth the stress that comes a long with it Every. Single. Time. I hope they get all their issues sorted out so I can consider shopping with them in the future. Iâm not even talking about the shipping. Iâm talking about processing items. Moreover, they even have a $10 option to speed the processing up. Pay $10 for a worker to do a job they were already paid to do ??? This company doesnât even answer their emails and their chat function is terrible. This company has been in business for years and still continues to make excuses for how busy they are - which they feel is a justified reason for consistently taking over a month to get orders fulfilled. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! You would think with their "success" and "business experience" they would know how to prepare for "busy" seasons ahead of time. But it never fails. Huge delays constantly and excuses on their website which *i guess* is supposed to pacify the customer while we wait with our thumbs up our âYKW.â Even in "slow" seasons I have experienced HUGE delays. All while they increase their prices sucking more money out of you with nothing to show for it. Blanket emails sent to say "we're working on it" which seem like just another excuse to fart around and take their sweet time fulfilling orders. Where are all the extra people who are supposedly *hard at work* working weekends to help get things done?????? What are they actually working on??? They are so quick to ask for extra money for a special membership which is supposed to give you perks and expedite orders. Other suppliers to be able to meet the demand from the holidays. It is very frustrating to place large orders, drop a lot of money and for your orders to be nowhere to be found.
Lack of communication and delays
I appreciated the initial clarity of the company's website and the straightforward ordering process. However, after placing my order on 11/13/2024, I did not receive the service as described. I emailed customer service on 11/24/2024 and 11/27/2024 as well as messaging on Makesy's instagram but received no response. This delay and lack of communication disrupted my project timeline and caused inconvenience. I recommend the company improve its customer service response times and provide clearer communication regarding service delivery. I hope the company will take this feedback to improve its services and communication. I remain open to resolving this matter if contacted.
Buy elsewhere unless you can pick up in California
I placed an order on 10/30 for a couple of fragrance oils and the order sat "unfulfilled" until I requested the order to be cancelled on 11/12. I was told that I could not cancel the order because it was already on track to be shipped. They printed the shipping label the same day but didn't ship the item until a week later.
I received the items on 11/22 and half the order is missing. I emailed them and contacted them on their site and no one responded. I contacted my bank and explained the situation. I honestly don't know what is going on with this company, but I'm no longer participating.

This company doesnât even deserve 1 star. I have had issues with Makesy in the past but nothing that compares to my current issue with them. I placed an order on November 3, that still has not processed or shipped. I reached out to Makesy 2 times by email a week apart & they have not responded. I tried to live chat with them & no one came on line after I waited for over an hour. I tried calling a number I found but the line was always busy. This company is a joke. They donât care about their customers. To all the makers out there, you can replace every one of their products with other companies that care about their customers, you just have to put in some research to do so. We donât have to put up with this. All they had to do was explain their situation but instead they choose to ghost us.

Customer service is a joke. I can't track my orders, I dnt know something is OOS until my order arrives. You check order status keeps saying partial but yet the site still accepts money for OOS items. How can you base your business on an unreliable supplier. My anxiety is through the roof.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Quality products but at a high price. Earlier in 2024 I had great customer service. However, since late summer, 2024 the shipping times are inconsistent at best and non-existent at worst. Most recently they offered a new candle vessel through pre-order. Knowing these new vessels would ship 10/21 - I placed an order on 9/2. As of 11/21 I still don't have my vessels and they haven't been shipped - Although my account shows the order is "fulfilled" and it lists they were sent on 11/7. But they don't have a tracking number. I have been emailing and attempting their chat option for over 3 weeks now. On 11/20 I finally was told that my order was delayed because it was a pre-order. At that time after several emails, they asked if I wanted to cancel the order or wait. And that my gold vessels may be holding up the order. In the past they shipped partial orders and then days/weeks later the rest of the order shows up in the mail. Side-note - they don't tell you anything, so you don't know if it's a mistake or if they will come at a later date. Your account always shows your order was fulfilled with no notes about a back-order. So I always make sure I check my order and report all the missing items to them, just in case it was an error and not just out of stock.
So yesterday after I was asked if I wanted to cancel or just wait without any estimated date, I emailed back and asked them if they would mail the rest of the order and send the gold vessels when they came in. At least if they sent the rest of the order I would have my boxes I've been waiting on and some of the new vessels in order to wick test. I responded to their email (the only method they will use) yesterday, 11/20 at 3:00 pm. As of 8:00 pm on 11/21 I have not received a response.
Based on their unwillingness to talk to customers when they have a problem (on their end) and the lack of urgency in resolving my issue, it's obvious they do not care about my business. I'm a Maker Pro Member which is an annual membership that you pay for to receive next day processing of your orders and special sales. Considering their customer service, I doubt I will continue my relationship with them in the future. I definitely will NEVER order anything via their pre-order. They have been selling the new vessels on their regular web site for weeks now. You would think they would mail the preorders before opening up new orders. And, I have been leaving reviews on their web-site regarding this issue and mysteriously, they never actually show up. Seems like if it is a negative review they filter them out. Because my other recent reviews (prior to this) that were good, all show up on their site. So buyer / shopper beware, I am not confident of the validity of their reviews.....
Avoid! Absolutely Abhorrent Customer Service and Lead Times
Absolutely abhorrent customer service; they take forever to restock and always give their clients the run around. Stay away from this company at all costs, take your business elsewhere, it's like pulling teeth to get anything from them.

I have contacted customer service twice-once with no response and am waiting for response on my second attempt. But I shouldnât have to even make a second attempt. As I read the reviews on this site I notice Makesy only responds to the positive reviews and does not address the issues customers are having which is on par with my experience. I plan to contact my bank to file a claim for a refund.

After attempting a chat in which they stated wait times were 10-15 minutes I waiting more than 30 before leaving the chat and letting them know I'd be contacting my bank for a refund. After I received an email saying I left the chat before they could "help me" as if it were my fault they left me hanging. My ordered shipped the next day but still won't arrive until November 13th. Nearly 3 weeks from the date I placed the order. And I have to wonder if they would have bothered to even it ship it at that point if I hadn't made the threat. This is incompetency at it's finest.
Avoid this company
If you are planning to use these products for your business I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I am currently redesigning several of my products so I no longer need to use anything from Makesy. This is an expensive and time intensive process, but it's worth it to not have to deal with them any more.
They keep raising their prices, but similar products can be found elsewhere. Despite recently hiking up their shipping prices and free-shipping threshold, their shipping time is ABYSMAL. I waited almost 2 weeks for my order to even leave the warehouse. It will now be another full week until the items arrive. I am now going to be late getting orders out to customers (which, unlike Makesy, I actually care about).
Update: My jars arrived smashed, because they only wrap them in an insanely thin layer of plastic wrap. I paid for the insurance and requested replacements. They 'couldn't' replace the actual jars that were broken. I requested a different color and they didn't have that, either. I made a third request, for a color they told me was available, and they didn't respond (it has been 3 days) and marked my order as 'partially refunded' despite never refunding or sending a replacement. They are charlatans and here to take as much of your money for as little work as possible.
It's nearly impossible to reach anyone from customer service without waiting at least half an hour. When you do they give you incorrect information, or don't address your actual question.
Their business is just like their website - it looks good at first glance but, once you're using it, you can see that it is poorly thrown together, unreliable, and glitchy.
Avoid even bothering with them in the first place.
