STILL NO REFUND AS OF 01-08-25 @ 00:20AM....How do they get away with this ...

A refurbished Macbook Pro i5 250GB HDD/8GB RAM: £160 + £12:00 Postage?
What a con a reconditioned Mac Book Pro that smelled of spray paint and a very dodgy silver sticker covering the all of the body, yer its reconditioned as like you can get from Currys and i have had with no problems,
but this is a new level in reconditioned, dints in it all over, smelling of spray paint, and a none genuine Apple power plug that seemed very cheap and hollow, don't think i would have dared plug it in, total con total rip off on both sides, Secondly they never state on wowcher its a computer company called Orion Computers.Co.Uk that is selling them and check this "YOU" have to pay the return post back, you should not have to, all you get in the way of return is a printed address on a piece of paper, and never stated it's another £12.00 for Royal mail delivery after you pay for the laptop again beware,

If you are purchasing from a business, the answer is NO, The Distance Selling Regulations, the UK, online purchases, state that in the event that a product is found to be faulty you are able to reject the goods and return them to the seller at the seller's expense,
This is something the seller cannot object to,
Please Buyers be aware of the slight of hand when buying off Wowcher that you may receive not fit for propose goods and YOU have to pay the return cost or they try and make you even though you do not in the uk,

If appropriate, the merchant will instruct Wowcher to refund the order and you will receive a refund confirmation email from Wowcher within 14 days from the date you returned the item, If you indicated you would like an exchange, the merchant will contact you to arrange this if possible, And if you go on Orion Computers website it states Free Delivery, So why do you have to pay £12.00, Another Rip Off...
Its has very slow performance as its a very old model and it will not connect to my wi fi too,macOS Tahoe (also known as macOS 26) will not run on it....

Tip for consumers:
if you go on Orion Computers website it states Free Delivery, So why do you have to pay £12.00, Another Rip Off...

and never stated it's another £12.00 for Royal mail delivery after you pay for the laptop again beware

3 -4 e mail later to both company's and still no help at 19:21 PM

What a con you did not buy it off us another platford (Fob Off) it is not disclose on the website when selling them is it, just passing the buck and it is unlawful trading and mis advertisement, you just don't want to take responsibility for the rubbish getting sold, i have contacted you - Orion Computer 5 times to no avail ... and the Lable as no postage stamp on it and it should under -
The Distance Selling Regulations, now largely encompassed by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013,

Cheap deals are all over the net including Amazon from 3rd party sellers, usually they are genuine but are sold in breach of a corporate volume licence,

i did not buy it off you but you supplied it and i have to return it to you.....

They say it easy to make returns what I have found they try to make it hard

Update 2.0: you know who i am, i have been emailing you for 6 weeks straight. I spoke to “Amy” today.

Update: this is correct as i am STILL without a refund. Do not buy from this company.

Sent me a very slow and old laptop and when i returned the laptop and requested a refund, they sent me an unwanted replacement and now are ignoring my 10+ emails and messages on whatsapp requesting a returns label / refund. I have multiple screenshots of my emails and the generic responses “Amy” has been sending me back. I am now having to take them to the small claims court as this is causing so much stress.

Do not use this company!!!!!!

Awaiting refund for over 2 weeks. Keep giving them proof of postage, they keep asking for tracking number which I have told them I don’t have. Keep going round and round in circles, either customer services ignore my emails when replying or are deliberately hoping I’ll go away and stop asking for my refund

I purchased a VIP Chromebook deal through Wowcher. [Wowcher were a nightmare: they passed onto Orion that I'd ordered a standard version so that's what I got sent. Orion told me I had to sort this out with Wowcher, who didn't believe me until numerous emails later, despite me proving I paid the VIP price by sending them the voucher itself, the receipt and even a copy of my bank statement. Anyway, that's not Orion's fault.]

When Wowcher eventually accepted their mistake, Orion sent me a postage label to send back the standard Chromebook, which I did, and then they sent me a replacement. The replacement had a faulty charging point - it would only work if you held the cable at a particular angle, and not for long! So that went back. Then the third laptop I received had a battery that didn't hold charge, so it wouldn't stay on for more than 5/10 minutes unplugged. That model was meant to have a stylus but that was missing. Finally the fourth Chromebook works - yay! I'd been feeling so disappointed so it was a relief to finally get a working Chromebook. This one is also missing the inbuilt stylus and I've been told they don't have any but they've made a note on the system so I'll be sent it if one does come in. It's just a relief to finally get one that works. I was really worried for a bit when I was told I wasn't entitled to a refund after the third faulty Chromebook - this isn't true as statutory consumer law states I have a right to a refund if I'm not provided with a replacement in a reasonable amount of time - but I didn't want another email battle on my hands - I just wanted what I'd paid for.

I'm happy I've got my working Chromebook now and I do appreciate that Orion was quick to send me postage labels and offer replacements. It's just taken me so much time (and printer ink/paper) to sort out. I think Orion needs to instigate a more thorough inspection process for their stock, it'd not only improve customer satisfaction but also save them time & money from returns.

If you've purchased and are having issues - don't give up - they can help, maybe I was unlucky but got there in the end!

I bought a Chromebook from Orion. Unfortunately I got the specifications wrong which was entirely my fault. When I got in contact with them, I got an immediate extremely polite and helpful response from a named person. She immediately agreed a full refund when I returned the computer.

I purchased a Mac Pro and returned it as I thought I have made a mistake. The Mac was in good condition and service was excellent. Orion faciliated a full refund with Wowcher within 24hrs of returning the Mac all I lost was the 19 pounds for courier. I will definitely do business with them again.

It takes a lot for me to write a review but in view of what I and others experienced in terms of receiving goods not fit for purpose I need to warn others again.

Stay far away from this company. Their customer service is abysmal, and their products are outdated and useless.

Let’s start with their bogus value for money offer on Wowcher. I bought a refurbished MacBook Pro i5 for £229.00, which was a steal at £479.99. But it was a disaster. It was incredibly slow, non-responsive, and crashed all the time. I found out it was a 2011 model, which is well past its expected lifespan and has officially reached the end of life (EOL) by most standards.

I sent my first email to their support on 26th March and didn’t get a reply until 1st April. They offered to replace it, which was what I had requested. I didn’t even ask for a refund; I just wanted a working replacement. Another delay from Amy in customer service finally confirmed they could replace it and sent me an alternative option in writing on 4th April.

I asked Amy to send the replacement as soon as possible. On the same day, she sent me instructions on how to return the old laptop and attached a prepaid label. She was very quick to arrange the return. She also advised that my replacement laptop would be sent as soon as they received the return. That day, I sent pictures with proof of the package and postage, along with a tracking number. The laptop arrived on April 7th.

It took another three days for Amy to respond, confirming receipt but questioning why I hadn’t included the charger. I explained that it was all packed in a rush and that I had simply forgotten to include it. If she kindly sent another label, I would post it. At this point, all she had to do was send my replacement laptop, but instead, she ghosted me despite my follow-up emails.

I sent one last warning stating if I didn’t get a satisfactory response by end of play today 16th April I’d take some actions, but not going into specific details but here they are. Of course I didn’t get a response.

Action 1. Leave this review as a warning for people to think twice before buying from them.
Action 2. File a complaint with trading standards providing the 2 names of company directors to hold them personally accountable and get this issue resolved.

Purchased a refurbed MacBook Pro, minor issue with the screen, customer services sent a returns label promptly and replaced the machine within 5 days.

They sold me a laptop that doesn’t even charge and has battery malfunctions I paid a fortune for this laptop and now I have to pay more money to ship it back for repair and pay again to ship it back to me.very dishonest business

I had an email saying I had the delivery but hadn't. When I spoke to them they just kept saying it's been delivered. When I asked for proof they continued to just reply it's been delivered. I am now £80 out of pocket and they refuse to acknowledge me now.
Hope you don't have a problem with your delivery as they couldn't care less

not even worth one star!! purchased two thinkpads via our carers card and neither of them work, they have no javascript and you cannot install it, they sent no details about returning the item, how long i had to return it etc, they also sent the first one with the wrong power lead, very dissatisfied with their customer service and the product, appear to be financially abusing disabled adults/children and their carers, AVOID!! use a different provider!!

Buyer Beware. If my experience with this company is anything to go by, they have no concept of communicating with the customer, they send out products that are sub-par and are slower than a 4 year old going to bed.

The product I received was an Acer Chromebook with a defective power button - the only way to turn it on is to put it on charge. With that said, the battery itself doesn't hold a charge so has to be kept plugged in when in use. Reconditioned? It should be decommissioned. I suspect they buy job lots, reset them, wipe them down with a wet towel and sell them on without a thought about the rubbish they're sending out. Mine's already in the bin since others have reported problems only to get an even worse replacement. I will NEVER do business with these cowboys again. It's not even worth attempting to ship it back to them.

Oh, and did I mention yet that it took almost 2 weeks to arrive (and nothing was communicated to me at all)? Can't say the wife's too impressed, since it was for her.

Very poor experience, ordered thru living social , waited for delivery orion computers lost orders cancelled order and i have now spent a month trying to get a refund from them , avoid

I purchased 2 Acer Chromebook’s for my daughters prior to Christmas, products arrived in good time and are ok for the price, however 1 of them has had a faulty charging port and will no longer charge. Awaiting response from Orion regarding replacement. Would have been a five stars review Had we not had this issue.

Firstly, the Lenova Chromebook I received for my daughters Christmas present works well, is fantastic and she is so happy with it.

Reason for 3 star rating is:
- I was missing the case which I purchased as part of the whole order.
- The Chromebook I received was filthy. I wasn't expecting sparkling brand new but it had pen/crayon all over and inbetween the keys. Bit of elbow grease from my part and it looks brand new, no dents etc.
- I tried to contact Orion Computers through the email address provided to chase up on the missing part of my order, the case, and I received no contact after 3 attempts.

However, when I found the Orion Website, the contact form provided on the site was answered and the case then followed within a matter of 2 days so was happy this was resolved.

I'm 50/50 whether I would use them again, the product works well and no trouble but the filthy state of the Chromebook and having to chase up on missing parts of the order is the reason for the rating.
