I think I just wasted $157CAD. Purchased 20TB through StackSocial and now find out it is absolutely useless as there is no application and doesn’t let me create more than two folders. Haven’t tried uploading anything yet.

Prism Drive è l'equivalente di una truffa: dopo avervi fatto spendere i soldi nn li rivedrete più. STATE ALLA LARGA da PRISM e da LIFEHACKER SHOP!!!!

The Prism Drive is completely unusable due to its exasperating slowness and the fact that it fails to upload files. Left it on for a full night on 1gb fiber and by the next morning it had completed NOTHING!
I trusted LifeHacker Shop but they don't refund anything for purchases of services or software: VERGONGA!
Prism Drive is the equivalent of a scam: after making you spend your money, you will never see it again. STAY AWAY from PRISM and LIFEHACKER SHOP!!!!

I purchased a 20TB lifetime subscription for $99 and find it's not worth anything since there is no application that can be used on an Android or Apple device and uploads from a PC are so slow that small files take literally hours. Steer clear from this service. Wasted money.

Updated 2 (as I got a bit further).

Prismdrive is sort of useless.
- creating a folder took several minutes (seems to be faster some hours after account creation)
- upload of a small text file took hours
- download or preview of this text file did not work.*
- instead of 20TB only 10TB are displayed.
So my experience is in sync with other experiences regarding prismdrive on trustpilot.

* when PrismDrive has indexed the textfile (whatever that means) or other files, the file can be downloaded and viewed. Indexing might take several minutes or more for larger files (happens on the backend), so be patient. Before that, the file might only be displayed under 'recent', but not within the directory it was uploaded to, only preview is offered as option (which does not work before indexing has finished - at least for all files I uploaded so far).

So far I manged to upload 14GB of data in several larger files (if uploading starts (sometimes it just doesn't), I get up to 3-6MB/s transfer rate (as of 24.07.2023)).

I'd still say this is sort of beta software at best.

Update 2: It seems the system completely crashed.
It threw an "SQLSTATE[HY000] [1040] Too many connections" error with PHP Error and Software version information. So we have
PHP 8.0.24
Laravel 9.24.0 (clicking link to doc => complains that this is an old documentation and one should upgrade to Laravel 10.x)

18.10.2023: Behavior slightly changed - upload starts right away now (would be good), but for larger files the "indexing" (whatever that means) never does anything, so after uploading the file it just isn't there (very bad).

Seemed to be vey reasonably priced, so I thought I'd try it. SAVE YOUR MONEY! It's painfully slow, whether uploading or downloading. So slow, that it's absolutely worthless. The company's address is a FAKE office located in Santa Ana CA, not far from where I live. They simply rent the address so they have the "appearance" of being a "real" company. They are not! They are FRAUDSTERS!

This is a scam, upload is slow if existing at all!
I got lured into this via a "reputably website" but failed to do due dilligence - my bad. This is to warn others.

Upload speed is in single digits KB's. Having 10TB and wanting to use 10% of it? Probably start uploading now, so your grandkids can use the files.

I bought 20TB of storage. Lifetime. But I only received 10TB. The upload speed is definitely too slow. Simply unusable! There is no support. A chatbot that doesn't respond to my problem. No response to emails. They promised a 30 day money back guarantee but I didn't get my money back. Don't trust this platform.

2 days so far, no response from support. 2 days trying to upload, zero success. Today, from a different PC uploaded one 2.4kb file. Success! But, took 12 minutes. Looking for how to refund, or report to credit card company.

另外"每一個"檔案開始上傳前都會有好幾分鐘在空轉(0上傳進度)，不知是prismdrive在檢查內容還是在驗證安全性，總之導致上傳一張200KB的圖片也要數分鐘(因為都在空轉)，這讓傳輸頻寬很低的缺點再放大數倍

看起來要不prismdrive沒能力做一個有基本功能的雲端硬碟，就是單純做一個超簡陋的在等肥羊

Totally unusable, next to impossible to upload anything, at least half hour to upload a 5kb file and for it to initialise on the server. 0 support,.don't answer love chat and don't respond to emails (not for over a week and still counting), it does not show what package you are on unless again you wait for 20+min and when you finally upload your file you need to wait again. I have requested a refund but as suspected that's unlikely to happen as you get no response. May have to claim via card

Edit: I have now received a refund from stacksocial, but still no response from Prism Drive

Won´t work at all without DISABLING my antivirus, never ever buy this software... I will never buy anything from Bleeping/Mashable/Stackcommerce (same stores), it got 4,5 stars on this particular software and it´s not worth the money, 62$ down the drain...

don't buy cloud space you will not be able to upload anything, this is fraud. Impossible to reach anyone, this is a s c a m

Come già fatto notare da altri recensori è inutilizzabile, non esiste un applicazione da PC che simuli un drive e non esiste un APP ne Android e ne IOS, ma si può caricare solo tramite web.
Il problema è che non si riesce a caricare nulla, non solo è lento ma fallisce il caricamento dei file.
Acquistato da SharewareonSale e sono stato ingannato dalle recensioni tutte positive, ho però constatato che le recensioni negative non vengono mostrate ( come la mia ). Poi c'è il problema del codice, che riscattato non può farti rimborsare, nemmeno Paypal riesce a venirti incontro.
Ovviamente non c'è nessun modo di provarlo prima.

PrismDrive simply does not work. You cannot upload any file.

I don't know what all the complaining is about. I've been using this service for over 6 months and I've never had a problem with it. If you have issues, contact technical support. They'll fix you up.

Just like Laurel, I trusted MacWorld and I bought a 10TB 'lifetime' backup system with PrismDrive from their site. I tried to upload files from many providers with the best speed anyone can get, no way to upload anything, I ended up having 30 audio files from the 1000 I wanted to backup and upload. Super Scam, and last time I trust Mac World...

Title should explain the gist of the situation. Uploading takes so much time that the service is not usable. Waste of money.

Never, ever trust this company.
They are in no way an HD space company. They merely serve as a front for a cloud storage provider. These individuals are merely a cover for thieves who will take your money and leave you with nothing. As the majority of reviewers have noted, the 10TB that I purchased was merely a hoax. You can never upload anything since nothing ever works. Later, foolishly, before I realised how terrible the upload was, they sent me an email offering to give me 10 TB more for a total of 20 TB for an additional $49 for life. I foolishly paid them, but I did not receive the additional 10TB. I should currently have and be displaying 20TB, but it only did so for 10TB. I wrote to them ten times in fast succession as a result, but I didn't hear back from them; they didn't respond to any of my emails.

This website is fake and fraudulent. Never purchase anything from them. Don't give them even a penny. You've been forewarned.

I actually trusted MacWorld when I bought a 10TB 'lifetime' backup system with PrismDrive from their site. I even wrote a spiffy little 5-star review on the MacWorld site before I actually tried to put PrismDrive to work. What a MISTAKE. What a piece of GARBAGE software PrismDrive is. Files don't upload, maybe one small jpg from a folder and 'customer support' is a bot that just repeats the same serve: "Type your question again."
DON'T BUY their service.
DON'T even give them your email. I dread to think what they'll do with it. Or our data.
