Had a offer come in the mail for pre qualified lower rate called and tried my luck they did not inform me they where going to do a hard pull on my credit or state any type of score I would need to be considered for a lower refinance rate befor doing a hard pull on my credit i feel as if it is just unprofessional for them to do so agent said it was in terms and conditions but the person who I spoke to on the phone did not inform me of any hard credit pull I was under the impression that a soft credit pull is done to see if you would qualify befor the hard credit pull but that was not the case now I have a hard inquiry on my credit report that will be there for awhile and did not get anything out of it but just that so watch out for them pre qualified letters I belive it is just click bait or a lure for them to just do hard credit pulls and give people a hard inquiry on there credit reports
