He listened to the last call about my bill and confirm that it was not paid. He also informed me that once my bill is paid that the rental office will get their confirmation that it was paid. He also informed me that once my bill is paid. To confirm with the representative that I will get a confirmation letter sent to my rental office. Fine print bad actors
Had renters insurance with them for 2 years and my e-bike got stolen and they pulled out the fine print declining my coverage saying itâs a âself propelled vehicleâ they were not helpful and not following laws when signing up for insurance disclosing what is and is not covered.

If you enjoy being gaslit over $60 in fake fees, Homebodyâs email support team is for you. I was charged multiple noncompliance fees despite having active, valid renters insurance uploaded on time, with the correct address â including the required PO Box.
Instead of resolving the issue, email support bounced me around with shifting excuses, vague responses, and zero accountability. They repeatedly ignored what I already provided, wasted my time, and dragged things out over something they couldâve fixed in minutes.
The only reason this didnât escalate further is because I finally got on the phone with a rep who immediately understood the issue and fixed it. They were helpful, competent, and professional â everything the email support team wasnât.
Homebody needs to seriously rethink how they handle these situations, because right now it feels predatory. One good rep shouldnât be the only thing standing between customers and unnecessary charges.

The insurance policy I was forced to get for an apartment was to protect the owner and there for should of been paid by the owner. When renting the apartment they lead you to believe they are to protect the renter and require you to get homebody.com insurance policy. My home was destroyed Oct 2024 by hurricane Helene and Milton. I've asked several times for them to cancel the policy and they say they will and then charge you again. It's May 2025 they owe me a reimbursement and to go honor my request to stop chewing the account. I will have to have the bank so this for me and I worry they will try to continue billing me so I have started making request by email.

Switched to allstate for my car insurance and they bundled renters insurance into my new policy for a cheaper rate. Called homebody to cancel and they refuse to refund my policy for the remaining time effectively making me carry double insurance on my rental. Garbage company dont bother
