The company has been brilliant. Callum Harris took on our grant and we couldn’t have wished for anything better. He was polite, helpful and always there to answer any questions we had. He has overseen the process from start to finish and has been absolutely amazing. Other team members were also extremely helpful and polite and made the whole experience worthwhile.

Excellence
Callum and Joe at RESG have been excellent in taking me through the grant application, explaining in detail about the process, and being at hand at to anwer all our questions, I can't failt their customer service in anyway, and felt in the driving seat in my decision making, informed by there knowledge and experience. Avoid at all costs, go with a known company, like your energy supplier!
I put my application in with this company in October 2024. I am still waiting for an installation, and now they are telling me that funding has run out and I won't be getting it. Had I gone with a genuine company I would have had the installation over a year ago. I am not even sure if they are a genuine company at this point. Its an absolute shambles.
I will add an edit in response to your reply. What nonsense you are talking!
I was upfront with Louise about the work being completed on the house all along, she knew exactly where we were up to. And a quick Google search will confirm that the installation can be carried out alongside renovation works and that the installer will liase with the builders, which is what I tried to do. Louise confirmed at the time that this was possible. So why are you lying and saying that it isnt?
Cornwall Council retracted their decision regarding living in the house in the same week, yet nobody informed me of that.
You have just stated that funding changed and so Eco Providers couldn't complete my installation. Callum confirmed this morning that you knew this in October. So why did Louise continue to tell me that everything was in hand and they were waiting on all different things. Why did she wait 3 months to tell me that actually the funding was not available?
And when are you going to get back to my email like you said that you would?

Dear Hannah,
Our management team have looked into your application chronology in detail and discovered that your comment here is not accurate, and we'd be grateful if you would remove it. Our organisation has consistently generated the highest grant approval rates in the industry, with a trust rating score higher than any other grant procurement provider.
- We note that you slowed the process down by implementing works at your property at the point of application, which you did not inform us of, and your survey could not be completed as this breaches the rules of the scheme.
- We facilitated surveys for you before your works were completed, just to assist you in the procurement of grant compliance documentation to expedite the process thereafter.
- In January, Cornwall Council introduced a new rule stating that applicants must be living in a property for a least a year to be eligible. Your application was in breach of this council rule, which further delayed your application beyond our control.
- You contacted us again to advise that you had been in the property a year and works were almost complete (there is a clear audit trail). We immediately booked another survey for you.
- Your RESG Grant Consultant Louise had your application prioritised and approved the same day as the survey. This speed of approval is unheard of in our industry.
- The outcome of the survey post works assessed your home energy rating as too high to qualify for funding by the approved assessor on the basis of costing.
- Despite a significant financial loss to our organisation due to time and application processing services provided to you, your Grant Consultant Louise agreed to make a second attempt using an alternative provider with a different costing process, again at no cost to you.
- After passing your application to the second provider, the UK Government made a significant change to ECO4, meaning that your application was no longer viable. This second organisation made significant redundancies as a result of Labour's change, which impaired their communication efficacy.
- Louise was able to find out that, not only your application, but every application held with this provider would be prevented from progressing due to the Labour Government decision in 2025.
Referring to Louise's service as 'a shambles' and our organisation as 'not a genuine company' after the level of effort and free service that we have provided to you is extremely disingenuous. Particularly during a time of significant redundancies in our industry as a result of Labour's cancellation of this grant.
NB. Energy suppliers are not able to procure fully funded grants for UK homes as you have asserted above.

I contacted Rural Energy Savings Grants…
I contacted Rural Energy Savings Grants regarding the ECO4 scheme feeling a little unsure as to whether the scheme was genuine, however I should not of worried as my first contact was with Callum and he explained the scheme to me very clearly and was more than happy to answer all my questions (and there were a few !).
Callum then advised that he would be my assigned contact throughout the whole process which turned out to be absolutely true.
I can not fault Callum's customer service, he always called when he said he would and kept me informed with regular updates.
The initial contact with Callum was 04/10/25 and the full installation of solar panels, air source heat pump, radiators etc was completed 08/01/26
I would highly recommend RESG and Callum.

I was very sceptical at first
Initially when I was looking in to these grants I was very sceptical, 1 about being free, 2 about the quality of work, 3 the disruption caused, 4 whether the ASHP actually work.
I made contact with RESG on the back of being diagnosed with a medical condition as I didnt qualify up to that point. Within 1 week of contact I had a surveyor round. With in another week I was told I qualified. I was very unsure of having the work done as I felt my beautiful home would be destroyed. RESG appointmented LMF as the contractor to under take the work. I made a point of insisting I would only have it done to my spec pipes being hidden and that I would be responsible for the hiding etc. Initially a group of lads came from Yorkshire and wasn't advised of my agreement. They spent 4 hours walking around and I want happy with their plans. They left and an experienced engineer came from LMF and looked at the whole house. He advised there wasn't any issue with what I wanted. A new group came and they were a breath of fresh air they completed the job by the middle of July. Solar, ASHP and batteries ( i paid for the batteries)
I had an lpg boiler costing around £1600 to heat the house for 3.5 hours a day through winter.
I turned on the heating towards the end of October I was expecting it to cost me a fortune. How wrong I was October my whole electric £97, November £198, Dec £235.
I had been paying £100 leccy, £111 lpg and £160 coal and logs. All im paying now is £100 leccy. My house well its 21 degrees 24/7 its the best thing ive had done and apart from paying for the batteries it was free. RESG really did what they say they would do. I've waited until ive used the system prior to providing this review to give honest feedback.
My only criticism is that LMF could have communicated better and been more up front.

It's fantastic to hear that your new system is so cost effective at a cosy 21 degrees in this sudden cold snap! It's a common misconception that air source heat pumps are not cost effective, provided that they are paired with solar PV and installed correctly.

Rural Energy Saving Grants
Rural Energy Savings Grant have surpassed all expectations.
I saw an advert on Facebook for the grant and commented that I had tried several grant applications only to get fobbed off - often after lots of time and multiple false promises. I was encouraged to apply.
My first point of contact was with Andy C, many months later he is still my point of contact and that continuity has been a real pluspoint.
Andy was open and honest, he told me we had a pretty good chance of getting the grant but made sure I knew it was not in any way definite.
Throughout the whole process Andy has kept in touch - even just to say nothing is happening. He has given me extensions on paper work when I have been ill and has just shown a high level of human interest and professionalism throughout the whole journey.
We now have an install date for a heatsource pump, central heating, hot water, insulation, solar panels and an inverter. Our application was accepted due to my health and lack of mains gas.
We have had to deal with a few 3rd parties - suppliers, surveyors etc. They have all been reliable and professional.
I cannot fault RESG at all, and cannot praise Andy enough.
We feel so lucky to have this, it will make a massive change to my life and will be a real benefit to my health.
