Almost Perfect
I'm giving Seascanner 5 stars this time, as the only thing they need to work on was not relevant on this booking.
Many websites don't allow you to book for more than 4 people. However, Seascanner allow you to put 5 people and then show what is available, from inside to suite.
The search facility is very simple and comprehensive. I even use it if I'm booking with a different travel agent.
Choose your cruise dates and length of cruise. It's that simple. Then you can filter out the parts of the world you're not interested in.
I checked before writing this review, I can even choose my cabin online myself. Which is brilliant.
Sometimes the only time we have free to do our holiday admin is out of office hours. With Seascanner, I can book my cruise at 1am if I choose.
There are a couple of things needing some work.
If you are a Silver or above member of the msc voyager club. You automatically Qualify For a 5% + 5% discount on any cruise booked over 12 months in advance.
However, the Seascanner system is unable to recognise this.
It takes your membership number, which brings up your details. Even your membership level. But does not calculate your discount correctly, despite having all the information to do so.
Therefore after issuing you with an incorrect receipt and invoice, you have to apply for it to be corrected.
I'm not sure what happens to customers who either don't do the math or don't know their entitlements.
A new invoice/receipt is then sent a few days later.
You are also unable to choose your type of drinks package. However, this is relatively minor as Seascanner offer outstanding value for drinks packages at the time of booking.
My next cruise and most of my cruises will be booked 12 months or more in advance. As I have mentioned this before. I will be giving a 4 stars, if it hasn't been tweeked.

I thoroughly recommend this company if planning a cruise
I have Just made my 3rd Cruise holiday reservation using Seascanner after finding no availability for my desired cruise on the cruise lines official website. Seascanner offer the best prices and often undercut the prices quoted on cruise lines websites. Their customer service is 5 star and no question or request is ever too much trouble for their customer support team. I must thank Shannon who has recently assisted me in making a couple of special requests to the cruise line on my behalf, and she was extremely friendly and professional in dealing with my requests.

Don't be deceived by promotional offers
Booked at a price purporting to be a special offer, but the following day the price was reduced by a further £300 pp and the deposit reduced by 50 %. Total liars and con merchants! Would not trust the sales description of any such offers!!

We understand how frustrating it can be to see a lower price appear after you've booked. While we do offer promotions, our website operates using a live pricing system, which means cruise fares are continuously updated based on availability, demand, and adjustments by the cruise line.
The price shown at the time of booking is the most accurate and current fare available at that moment. This is the price you agreed to when confirming your booking, and all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions accepted at the time of making the booking. Additionally, we do have a price promise scheme, which is valid within 24 hours of booking with us.

Excellent service and great money-saving advice
I had a fantastic experience booking our cruise through SeaScanner. Naomi was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave really helpful advice that actually saved us money on our booking.
What impressed me most was how easy she made the process. I was able to book two cabins directly through the online chat, which none of the other cruise companies would allow me to do. It made the whole process simple and stress-free.
The level of customer service was excellent and Naomi went above and beyond to help us get the best deal possible.
I would definitely recommend SeaScanner and will absolutely book with them again in the future.

Price excellent. Tried for 2 days to book the cruise but the website only allowed me to proceed by removing my MSC member number from the booking form.

Poor handling of deposit terms
Ok Poor handling of deposit terms and zero flexibility
Booked a P&O Early Saver cruise through Seascanner with their £49pp promotional deposit. When personal circumstances meant I needed to change dates, I discovered:
• No transfers allowed on promotional fares
• Cancelling requires paying up the full standard deposit (£709) despite only paying £196 initially
• Only option was expensive upgrade + transfer to equal/higher value cruise
The deposit conditions were not made clear at booking. No confirmation emails highlighted this massive liability. Customer Relations (Kelly Davey) passed responsibility to P&O while refusing any goodwill.
As a repeat P&O customer (2 cruises in 2 years), felt totally let down. Seascanner act as agent but add their own restrictive fees. Avoid promotional fares unless you’re 100% certain - the small initial saving becomes a very expensive trap.

As a travel agent, we are required to adhere to the cruise line’s terms and conditions, which are also agreed upon when the booking is made. Unfortunately, these terms and conditions are set by the cruise line and cannot be altered by us.
We completely understand that personal circumstances can change unexpectedly and appreciate your loyalty as a repeat P&O customer. While we are unable to adjust these terms and conditions, we hope this explanation helps clarify why the deposit conditions were applied as they were.

Holiday booking for 4 people
We wanted to book a holiday for 4 people, it will allow for 2 people on the booking page, we contacted Seascanner chat page and a lovely person called Angeline was so helpful in assisting us with both bookings, ensuring we were booked next to each other and linking our bookings so we can arrange dining and shows together. We booked with no real difficulties and it was quite quick and easy, would recommend booking with them, great efficient service.

I highly recommend this company. I experienced some issues during the booking process and reached out to customer support. The assistance I received was very prompt and professional.
The agent, Angelina, quickly clarified all the details and provided the necessary information. She also asked me for additional details, so it was a smooth two-way communication process. Thanks to her help, I was able to resolve everything quickly.
