Extremely Disappointing Service â Over 12 Months of Delays, Poor Communication and Excessive Fees
My experience with Skycop has been nothing short of appalling. I submitted my flight delay compensation claim over 12 months ago, and as of 16 October 2026, I am still waiting to receive the compensation owed to me.
Throughout this entire process, I have experienced repeated miscommunication, broken promises and a complete lack of accountability. I have been given various payment dates, told there were issues with the accounts department, and repeatedly left without a satisfactory explanation or resolution. My last communication from Skycop was on 28 August, and since then, I have been left wondering what is happening with my own money.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I have confirmation that the airline has already paid the compensation to Skycop, while other passengers travelling on the same flight have already received their payments. So why am I still chasing money that should have been paid to me months ago?
Skycop charges significant processing fees for handling these claims, yet the level of service, communication and customer consideration I have received has been completely unacceptable. If a company is going to take a substantial percentage of a customerâs compensation, the absolute minimum expectation is transparency, professionalism, timely payment and basic respect for the customer.
Instead, I have been forced to spend months chasing updates, repeatedly following up on contradictory information and wasting my own time trying to obtain a straightforward answer. There has been no meaningful reassurance, no proactive communication and no satisfactory resolution.
A compensation claims service should make life easier for customers, not turn the process into a year-long ordeal. The entire purpose of using a company like Skycop is to avoid unnecessary hassle. In my case, the experience has been the complete opposite.
I find the lack of consideration for customers particularly disappointing. Customers should not have to threaten complaints or public reviews simply to receive money that has already been paid by the airline.
I am now considering escalating this matter to the relevant consumer protection and dispute resolution authorities if it remains unresolved.
Based on my personal experience, I would urge anyone considering Skycop to think carefully before signing up. Consider the fees you will pay, the level of communication you might receive and whether the convenience is genuinely worth it.
My verdict: Extremely poor communication, unacceptable delays, a lack of accountability and fees that are difficult to justify given the service delivered.
Skycop needs to take responsibility, improve its customer service and, above all, ensure customers receive their compensation without having to chase it for more than a year.
I would not recommend this service based on my experience.
