The first event was amazing and thisâŠ
The first event was amazing and this one not so much. It didnât feel as intimate or raw/unplugged and there were fewer artists which made me truly want to give a two⊠I get there are tech issues sometimes but it felt some could have been alleviated. Although it is a space to showcase new talent it felt too new. It felt as if they were not confident beyond the auto tune. They were clearly talented but not ready for that setting. Hoping they come back w their voice as the solid and the sounds they make as the background.

Rooftop sunset concerts can't be beat
Sofar concerts are some of the best shows I've been to. The rooftop show was an incredible experience. Seeing the Vancouver skyline as a backdrop to 3 incredible artists is an experience I can't stop talking about.

It was a hetero singles night but thereâŠ
It was a hetero singles night but there were easily 3x as many women as there were men. Having the music be more of a background instead of the formal row seating would be helpful imo, doesn't fit the dynamics of a singles night if people can't talk or move around. Music was good but secondary to the overall purpose for my attendance.

Roof East disappointment
At Roof east, the artist only played for about 25 minutes and the seat pads for the film were damp from the earlier rain.

This was a partnership event with Rooftop Cinema Club, which meant a slightly different format from a standard Sofar show - one live act followed by a film screening, rather than our usual multi-artist lineup.Â
We did share this detail on the event page and in a pre-show email, but we appreciate you flagging that the balance between music and film still felt like a mismatch on the night.Â
The damp seat pads are also something we should have caught - that's not the experience we want for anyone, and we've passed all of this feedback on to the team.Â
