WORSE COMPANY EVER TO USE FOR CLAIMS
Bag of Shit, wouldn't recommend at all, most of the staff dont want to be there and the customer service is appalling, especially the manager.
I am a victim of a hit and run, when I gave them the registration number of the other viechle they confirmed its insured with a certain company. I contacted this company and they confirmed that they do not insure the third party's vehicle. When I made Somerset aware, the third party is not nsured with the information that they gave to me, they was asking me who was the insurers. LOL
Why am I doing your job? You should tell me and have the correct information.
The claims people was telling me that I have to pay my access for my vehicle to be repaired knowing it wasn't my fault because they are not a 100% they can recover my money back because of the incorrect information. The database that they use must be OUT OF DATE OR NEED UPDATING because I contacted the same company who they use to gain insurance information and I was given the correct insurance details. (But not the one that they confirmed to me by 3 different agents).
I am ready to cancel my insurance because of this s*** company.

Her kindness and gentleness is a great asset to the industry. Something I didn't not expect to encounter.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Sell you insurance then when signed, they ask for documents, when they get them, they say policy needs changed and then charge you £50 admin fee, and £550 to keep your car insured otherwise you need to cancel, if you cancel you get charged £35 plus a months fee plus a finance charge plus plus plus. You are better paying the extra £200 and going with a reputable insurer

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Karon for her outstanding help with my recent car insurance claim following an accident. From the very start, she was incredibly professional, patient, and reassuring—exactly what you need during a stressful time. She explained everything clearly, kept me updated at every stage, and made the whole process feel a lot more manageable.
Her attention to detail and calm, friendly manner genuinely made a difference, and I felt completely looked after. It’s not often you come across someone so helpful and efficient, and I honestly can’t thank her enough.

*AVOID* painfully bad
*AVOID* I've had such a BAD experience with this company I feel that I need to warn others. My named driver was involved in an accident, they told me I was at fault and I accepted it. I have committed DAYS on phone calls/emails and meetings. The case is very straightforward. 3 months on and I am still being HASSLED to provide copies of information I've already provided. They sent round a claims handler who arrived in jeans and a t shirt and had a young girl waiting in the car for him. I think he thought he was a CID officer and that I was up for murder!. He told me I needed to let him take photographs of me so that he could prove to the insurance company that he'd done a face to face meeting! Obviously the insurance company has trust issues with their 'CID officer'. Who knows where my photos will end up! I now have a data security RISK which I never had before dealing with Somerset Bridge. So UNPROFESSIONAL. They've sent me further requests for copies of drivers licences after I've already provided them multiple times. This company are DISORGANISED and UNPROFESSIONAL. They are impossible to deal with. I'm now 3 months on and still being asked for the same information. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. The small premium saving is not worth the HASSLE.
