I have just finished the whole process, after I have seen someone at work using this brand, very happy with the final results, everyone was very helpful and answered my questions very promptly, I felt like I had all the support that I needed. The price was very competitive as well. I would definitely recommend the company.

I chose to use this company as an alternative to the dentist route, which was too expensive for me. Although initially wary of the digital journey, I was so impressed with the communications and guidance materials, as well as by the quality of the app/platform. I was given a pack with full information detailing my treatment journey, and estimated time for completion. I received quick, detailed direction each step of the way. If I ever had any questions, these were answered swiftly via the in-app messaging service. When I needed a few more aligners than originally planned, I received these quickly and without additional cost.

Overall, I am so pleased that I chose to go with Straight Teeth Direct. This is the perfect option for people who are confident in managing their own journey, and can be disciplined to follow the treatment independently. I have since referred friends, who have also been very pleased with their journey and results. I am so much happier with my teeth now, and wish I’d done it years ago.

Just an absolutely awful experience. Started the program over a year ago, went through all the retainers which abput 40% of them actually fitted properly. They were ALWAYS loose. Stopped wearing the bottom alligners as they were coming loose and I was worried about choking on them while sleeping. At the end of the program my teeth weren't straight, not even close, I was expecting a few new sets but they told me "yeah they don't always work out for people, pay an extra £600 if you want them straighter". I'm sitting here now in my last alligners and I can take them out with my tongue they're so loose.

I'm convinced they don't have a single dentist or specialist working of them.

They don't read your concerns through their messaging service, just auto reply and a load of obnoxious nonsense.

I'm booked in to see a real dentist to get my teeth sorted. A year and £2000 wasted on this awful company.

Please stay away from this company.

I am halfway through treatment and as I expressed some concerns and complaints in regards to the retainers leaving me with an underbite I was threatened.

I made a complaint. I’ve been locked out of my account and all my records have been deleted.

Under the data protection, I emailed them and asked for all the data collected on me and they had one month to respond.

No Response.
I then got a nasty email from them. They have now deactivated my account and I am halfway through treatment.
Please just pay the extra money and go to a proper dentist.

Read the reviews they have a pattern of behaviour.

They will not finish the course for you. They will promise you results. You will not get these results. They will then get nasty when you make a complaint with them.

Had a bad experience. Please contact trading standards as this company needs to be investigated.

Waste of money. Did everything I was instructed, gums kept bleeding. From other dentists they say that if u try to move the teeth too quickly this will happen and the teeth will wobble which is dangerous. Ultimately painful and left out of pocket

This company has left me with a severe underbite.
False promises, they take your money And then you’re basically on your own you will never get through to a human being. You will only get slow responses.

The best thing you can do is complain about these people trading standards.

Take screenshots of your account your messages your plan.

I now have to get my teeth rectified which will be £4500.

This company is basically running a legitimate scam.

Please go to a proper dentist as these people cannot be trusted.

On top of that after one year, I was at 35%.
Two days later they bumped it up to 17%. Can you tell me how someone in two days can jump from 35 to 70%? They clearly trying to cheat the system.

Stay away.

Don’t trust them With your money, dental records or commitment to providing good service.
After disputing a charge for post treatment I was told my account is going to be removed. They deleted all my dental records when I requested for them, they responded that their data retention policy states records are not kept. That policy is nowhere to be found! I asked to see a copy of it in May…. Still waiting!
Avoid, avoid, avoid!

My review would have been 5 star but recently the service hasn't been great. My treatment completed a little over a year ago. I am so happy with my teeth and have much more confidence. However I'm now on my second maintenence plan renewal, have paid and not received my new retainers. Until I chased up I was not provided with an updated and they've now said they have a problem with their supplier. I appreciate this can sometimes not be helped but, by their own admission their retainers are only good for 6 months....I can feel my teeth slightly moving now as this year's 2 sets are both over 6 months old now and have lost their rigidity....I don't want all the time and money I spent to get them to this point to be undone. Hopefully they can sort it soon as its such as shame after what has been a really good experience until now

Very good experience! Tratament started in 2020, if wearing your retainers as advised, your teeth remain as after the treatment. Good follow up by the team, very responsive and helpful! I recommend!

This company is pathetic.

Basically the first few months you will be impressed and excited because your teeth that you have disliked for so long and improving. But it's a false perception.

This is when the company do a promotion for everyone to make videos and reviews and you receive discounts, goods etc. Hence you will notice 99% of the best reviews are near the start or mid. Not at the end.

Is you have an issue that will blame you and delete your account.

I completed mine and what they do is move your teeth outwards to make space to straighten the other teeth. My issue was my tooth protrudes. They said they could fix it but did not tell me that they would make my teeth move further out just that they would straighten them. Which is what they did but didn't rectify my whole reason for contacting them. When I raised this my account got removed.

I think this works for some but my advise would be go and have consultations with face to face dentist and compare. If they are saying something completely different then avoid these like the plague.

What they have got right is their promotional team. If people wrote their reviews right at the end of the process then only then can you get a full picture of the brand.

Awful! I’m blocked on Instagram and ignored on all other platform after asking for another final retainer. Do not go with these they’ve taken the money and closed my account, awful aftercare.

I was impressed by the results. They are very quick to answer any questions. Very professional. Everything planned perfectly well. Very good experience.

I recently underwent aligner treatment from Straight Teeth Direct and am not very happy with the results. I had some overcrowding (which was the primary issue I wanted to address) and a minor underbite (which I knew could not be addressed with home aligner treatment). I primarily made the choice to use Straight Teeth Direct because I was under the mistaken belief that orthodontics could not be used to treat bite issues (I thought only more invasive options like surgery could be used) and thought that I was happy to use a cheaper teledentistry option rather than seeing a proper orthodontist.

While my overcrowding has been mostly fixed (I still have a slight misalignment in my top teeth and a substantial misalignment in two of my bottom teeth), the treatment has completely worsened my underbite. I went from having contact between my front top and bottom teeth to none at all. In addition, I have a slightly more open bite than I used to.

While Straight Teeth Direct was upfront about not being able to fix my bite issue, I was never under the impression that it would worsen. The 3D predictions I received prior to agreeing to my treatment showed a completely normal bite and were not reflective of my teeth positioning before or after treatment. This made it difficult to tell what outcome to expect. When I asked for the visualisation to be updated to reflect my actual bite position, they told me it wasn't possible. While the text within the treatment plan made reference to my bite, it merely stated that it would remain unchanged, and I had no idea it would worsen.

Straight Teeth Direct claims no responsibility for this outcome. While the primary goal of my treatment has been 90% achieved, I've been left with a situation I'm even more unhappy with than when I started.

Unfortunately, at the time I agreed to treatment, I didn't realise that traditional orthodontic treatments, such as Invisalign and elastics, can be used to treat bite issues. I've now since learned this is the case, and I would recommend anyone who has bite issues to save up and consult with a proper orthodontist instead of using a teledentistry service. I've since started Invisalign treatment, combined with a Carriere appliance, and can already see some changes in my bite in under a month! While these cost substantially more, they are worth saving for in order to provide peace of mind, professional service, and much more impactful results than services like Straight Teeth Direct can offer.

Like everyone else, I chose STD because of its competitive prices. I also found the customer service excellent. As stated in 2 comments, you only realise what's going on behind the scenes if there's a problem. I'm sorry I got my information the wrong way, which was to read the good commentators. In the same way as for insurance, only people who have had a problem can give reliable information about the quality of the guarantees offered and whether or not they are actually applied.
In my case, the processing time was much longer (several years) than indicated in the treatment plan (a few months). But that wasn't a problem for me. Like many others, I'm writing this review to draw attention to STD's dubious commercial practices, and I'd advise anyone who wants to try to find out more via the bad reviews. All the contractual documents say the exact opposite of the marketing promises about the absence of risk, guaranteed results, etc. Your treatment does not achieve 100% progression, and it is considered that achieving 100% is an extension of the treatment, which of course has to be paid for. And then there are the most shocking contracts, which look like blackmail.
STD uses the impossibility of leaving their service unfinished and the inability to have it continued by another practitioner, and above all the financial aspect, to exert pressure. In fact, STD's customers are a target group that cannot afford to pay for this solution with follow-up by an orthodontist. STD offers contracts to complete your treatment on condition that you leave no negative comments, never mention the contract and waive your right to make claims. They are therefore relieving themselves of responsibility, which is prohibited. If you are not based in the UK, the pressure will be even greater as the procedures will be more complex in the event of a dispute, so there is little chance that you will challenge the legality of their contract or seek compensation for any damage. You can read in the responses to comments denouncing STD's abusive commercial practices that signing the contract is a choice. If that were the case, they wouldn't be threatening to deduct a sum of money if they mentioned the terms of the contract.
After having tried the experience with STD, I join the professionals who warn that a virtual appointment does not replace traditional follow-up with an orthodontist, especially if your case is not something minor. There are a lot of legal documents so it is easy to get lost and fall for deceptive commercial practices. In the event of a medical complication, the situation can become dramatic, physically, psychologically and financially. The 3D view from your so-called aim is not a real projection. Although progress can be seen, you will not achieve this result. If that suits you, so much the better, if you expect more we will offer you a charged extension of treatment by telling you that it was written that you signed and/or in exchange for your waiver of a claim and to talk about your experience on the networks .
Do you think that a brand that has an excellent satisfaction rate needs to use this type of practice?
I therefore advise against STD.

If you ever try the adventure I encourage you to make screenshot because like other said they may block your access and inform the public of your experience.

Had a fantastic experience with straight teeth, the whole process was easy and from home. I’m so happy with the results. It took slightly longer than predicated but so worth it.

Really happy with the process so far! Started 10 months ago and now just beginning the refinement stage. More than happy to add on an extra few months of treatment after seeing the previous changes and can’t fault STD for putting the extra time and work into slower biological responses, thank you! If you’re debating whether to go with this cheaper alternative I would highly recommend! I know even one bad review can be really off putting when deciding but if you have the self discipline to follow the guidelines then you have nothing to worry about.

I needed a refund after some confusion with an order, I had forgotten to cancel a subscription, and the straight teeth team were extremely considerate and refunded the full amount. They could have easily ignored my plea and processed the order within T&Cs but due to my timely realisation they were able to help.

I am extremely grateful, there is a team here that want to do best by their customers when they are able too.
