Confirmed a booking then cancelled...

Confirmed a booking then cancelled...
We booked a skiing trip for February half term and received confirmation of the accommodation booking from Sunweb. Based on this we went ahead and booked flights, transfers and ski school.

A few weeks later were contacted by Sunweb informing us that the accommodation was overbooked so we couldn't stay in the 'confirmed' accommodation. Not only that they couldn't give us anywhere else in the same resort leaving us £2000 out of pocket on flights etc.

Definitely won't be using them again

It is very unfortunate that we did not have any alternative options available in the same area.
You were therefore informed that we would be happy to explore options for a suitable alternative in another ski area,

However, you did not express any interest in this and instead requested a cancellation and full refund for the Sunweb booking, which was processed.

As the other elements of your holiday were not booked with Sunweb, you would need to contact those providers for help.

You could promote transfers

I see that you made an own transport booking.
Transfers cannot be added for this booking type.
If you book own transport, it means you are responsable to arrange all transport to and from the accommodation yourself.
Shared transfers are an optional charged add on for our flight packages.

The value for money from Sunweb is amazing

The value for money from Sunweb is unbelievable, used them three times in the past for boys trips and what they offer for the money is fantastic.
What could make it better in my opinion in the places I have stayed, Sunweb can make lots more money for very little outlay is put up a load of TV's in the bar areas, playing Snowboard and skiing/sports videos all day, it's such a cheap way to keep people in bars, people want to stay there and hang out, seen it work in so many bars.
